So they re not getting their recruit quota the normal way ... What happens to the kids made during "working hours" ? Are they automaticly enlisted ? Seriously, I dont see the harm in it, on the other side it's kinda frustrating for the soldiers without enlisted girlfriend/wife but i dont think that it didn t happen now already in secret. Cheers

Take into account that alot of other countries also pulled back forces from Germany in the last 10 years. I did my military time also in Soest ( Tank battalion ) in '89, shortly after they pulled back around 4-5 bases in Germany ( Belgian Army ), i know there were UK and French ( i think ) soldiers too, maybe they pulled out of Germany too by now. So over the last 10 years now i think the figure of loss of income will be somewhat bigger then posted here. If you see the general economy in Europe has taken 3 years + now to recuperate ( not fully yet, but its starting .. ) from the combo 9/11 & Euro introduction seeing it over 10 years in Germany aint that long at all. east germany joins west + allied forces pulling out of germany in the early 90's + 9/11 + Euro + US forces pulling out .... not a nice route for the last 10 - 15 years. We have a house in Spain, and almost all Germans are pulling out of the region and are leaving for Hungary, Croatia, etc .. where homes are cheaper and there is still a bank secret, this week alone 5 of the 40 houses in the housingcomplex here have been put up for sale ... all of them owned by Germans. Almost all of these houses are being bought buy either Spanish, Swedish or Norwegian ppl. Things are not going good in Germany ... hope they improve soon ! I heard something about if unemployed and your kid has over a certain amount of money in it s savingsaccount you re forced to use that instead of receiving social security ... is that true ?  I mean that's   taking your kid's future savings to start their own life ... Thanks for the read all hehe, my oh my, it s euro vs USA season again. I m on holidays bored to death so i "enjoyed" the read. What strikes me a bit is the fact that US ppl act like we always "hated" them ... I think this negative feeling - cause i think hating is very very overstated - towards the US has just been steadily increasing from Bush's election till now. Before that i dont think there was this ( and you feel it almost with any European you talk to ) general negative feelings towards the US government. This feeling isnt against the US people, but against the US foreign politics of Bush. Before 9/11 the first thing he did was torpedo the Kyoto agreement, then he went on revitalising the starwars thingy, etc etc ... ,generally coming back on things agreed on before him. Eurotrash no like things like that ! What i m very surprised by is that Bush isnt that far behind in the polls or level, or ahead, dunno now, i m on holidays. That man isolated the USA and its people, made it maybe 100X as dangerous abroad for US travellers as before, almost singlehandedly wrecked the fragile "peace" we knew (or at least safe feelings we had ;-) ) in most parts of the world, and so much more ... AND YOU STILL WOULD BE PREPARED TO VOTE FOR HIM ?? That makes me (and alot others ) wonder how US people think .. or dont think. While in most euro elections all ruling parties were slaughtered by us .. the voters for their actions or lack of actions during their last term (much of them USA related ), you wonderfull people are going to reward Bush with votes for his actions .... That s just beyond words ! But there is one lightpoint ... as macho egocentric most US people might be ( US number 1 !!! ) it strikes me that more and more start to notice a change in behaviour towards them ... that s already something ... aint it ? My 2 cents, not nearly as well put as denoir and the others. Cheers

*****SPOILER UK MISSION 1 ****** I destroyed the canons differently. When you go up from the left canon to the bunker you see shells lying there. - Take a shell - drop it next to the canon - stand back - Throw grenade at shell - boom - repeat for canon 2 When the canon doesnt blow you put the shel too close or too far, you should see the shell lying next to the canon, if you dont see it lying there you put it too close. Dont forget to shoot the lighthouse to pieces before destroying the left canon. Didn t find another way to destroy the lighthouse then with the canon. Hope this helps, Cheers

Hey all, First of all i did a search and tried the things on Avon's website but it doesnt work. I switched 3d cards from Nvidia Geforce Ti4600 to Radeon and now i get the cannot create 3d device error. Â Nothing works that s been suggested in topics and Avon's site. Now before i reinstall ofp is there anything i can try to get it back to work and save me all the work with my modfolders etc . Ofp wont boot, CSLA II wont boot, but the weird thing is FDF boots nicely and there are no problems with it ... i tried ofp with and without addons, but get the error in both cases. Help ! Grizzlie, Thx for the suggestion, but i really tried all that ... As i said, i uninstalled and reinstalled freshly now, but before putting in the addons i need v2.17 of that launcher, which i cant seem to find anywhere

Ok, I reinstalled the game ... Nothing worked. Thx for the suggestions all, maybe a clean install and some carefull selection of addons now will be better anyway I just installed ofp, gold and resistance, updated to 1.96B and installed Kegetys' incredible DLL, all works fine now. But before i put in addons can anybody give me the link to OFP launcher v2.17 ... i cant find it. Cheers and thx all JAP

So i m the only one that noticed the Merc has a problem with his frontwheels while turning That problem wasnt there in the first release of this car. Plz fix that ! I need a big merc for my mafia guys ... New cars coming out is good, i whish there were more cars coming out from the quality of Red baron's Challenger and corvette ... mechanic's Porsche and Ferrari pack was also good. Cheers

I have the full game aswell, at least i did. I completely agree. Besides the damaged buildings there is absolutely NOTHING to say that is even remotely average on this game. It s utter crap and a total waste of money. And i m not saying that either cause i m into ofp. It s best described as OFP CTI with much worse gfx, buggy gameplay, no AI.  If you play CTI with addons that s 1000X better then Soldner imo. Ah, the iron sights are really good lol  Installed it and gave it 3 go's, but i really cant like it even a little bit. I just ran inbetween 5 abrams tanks, 2 humvee's with MG and a Bradley ... hopped into an empty abrams right in the middle of those enemy units and killed them all without even being fired on ... now that s AI quality. I can stop an abrams tank at full speed faster then a racecar ( it just stops instantly ), you think ofp units jump alot .... try soldner. The abrams' MG goes further then the sabot rounds ... when you want to hit a target with sabot 200m away you have to elevate the barrel almost 20degrees or more ... I think the only game shortly that will be better then ofp is ofp2, and that s not a bad thing Maybe S.T.A.L.K.E.R for SP ... now that s also a game i m waiting for badly ! Verdict : CRAP .... next wannabe ofp beater plz ...

I m having a problem i didn t have in earlier missions i made with the BAS MH47E Cargo. I can put a jeep in alright, but when i try to put the BAS KLR in it says that that unit isnt supported It should be cause in other missions i made it put a crate in just fine. Any idea's ? I think i have v1.1 of the MH47 and the readme also says it should work. Anything changed lately ? Plz help, need the KLR bikes for the mission. Also, in the readme it says BAS were gonna make it so you could use other vehicles in the future including a foldable boat ... those plans still active ? Would be great ! Cause i love that chopper. Maybe another thingy with BAS stuff, whenever i put a littlebird on in the missioneditor it doesnt show on the map ( in editor mode ) just the text shows if i put my mouse over the spot i put the LB in. Whenever i preview i get a CDT. Maybe these two things hang together. I was waiting on new LB's to correct that LB problem cause i dont use them often. Cheers and thx upfront for the help.

I can buy this stuff at wholesale prices, so put down the regular salesprice in Belgium. The prices arent really the issue, it s more like the best performance i need out of those cards. And pros/cons. Cheers

I love these units. Crew is great too. One thing though ... didn t read through all pages so it might have been posted here. I got in the back with driver and gunner in and i could direct the tank like i was in commander, it didn t say forward, stop, fast etc but he did what i told him to do as i would be in commander ... Great units ! Cheers
