Just go away, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I'd like YOU to calculate rigid body collisions & ragdolls on a napkin, while I drive my Hunter APC in ArmA III. No? You can't? Then get informed. -
You can't remove it, it's a new feature and is inherent in the crosshair. It adjusts dynamically to inform you if there's something blocking the barrel's path in relation to your sights/eye height. Not sure how it relates friendly close targets, but it works great when in cover.

How do you figure that it's AI that is unoptimised? Haven't you people considered that the added strain of PhysX calculations on every tangible entity in your missions is the culprit, even if AI optimisation stays roughly the same as it was in ArmA II? (Which I suspect to be the case w/ AI) Since multi-threading isn't exactly stellar in ArmA series, you will have to overclock your CPUs to 5 GHz, if you want to have anything more than a few squads running around. End of story, until/if devs post their thoughts on this. -
Warfare CTI with 32-42 players & 12 units per player ran "ok-ish" on 3.5-4 GHz i7s in ArmA II... XR had to OC theirs to 5 GHz to play it the way it's meant to be played, we enjoyed excellent performance for days without server reboot. Now, with added physics simulation, I'd say 5 GHz is about to become the standard for Domi, Evo, Warfare, Wasteland, etc, etc. TLDR; OC your server CPUs to 5 GHz or stick to 1-6 player Co-op missions.

12 years and still without a Squad? Cool story bro. ArmA II was just the same on launch. I wouldn't consider 3rd PV on Vet to be "DUMBED DOWN". The "Elite" difficulty is now truly elite. Rent your own server, choose your own difficulty settings, pick missions, start a squad - if you think you're not sheep & want to be a wolf. -

It's definitely the extreme number of AI - I mean 10 PBX boats, 30 divers in the water alone in 0.2? We had the same problems in Warfare CTI, number of AI is directly linked to server performance, which in turns limits client FPS! My suggestion still stands: let's test Evo main system only with minimal number of AI. Well, perhaps 2-3 Gunboats in the bay near Agia Marina could be okay. Don't forget that in A3A the server has to calculate PhysX now as well. -

EB, m8 - with the amount of AI you put into the mission, it's barely playable atm. I just tested it on GITS server and counted 8 enemy AI boats in the first town, about 20 AI in total in the water alone plus 25-30 infantry in our own base, 150m from the airport. Server fps was 5-7 at mission start. I suggest you lower the AI count and focus on all main Evo systems to ensure they work properly first. -
Awesome demo. I wonder if special properties could be set for this suit/uniform against bullets & blasts. (Is body armour in the vanilla game yet?) Good luck, TxT!

WTB 64 bit upgrade. :( Have an occasional memory leak here & there; I don't want to think how Altis is going to run at this level of detail that is inherent in ArmA III now regardless of settings.

This thread still going? Smookie done a brilliant job on the anims; the only angle you could argue from, is that some of them are far too quick. Sprinting is being reduced in the upcoming update(s), everything else is in order. Adapt//

A tactical experience of a floating camera with no body awareness, dynamics or inertia/momentum? No thanks, I've played enough of Quake & Counter-Strike back in 1999 to last me a life time. Like I said, most of these illusions fit under "Hello, been living under a rock, so here's how it should be." Hey, don't worry - if ACE 3 is ever going to "FIX" it, it will FIX it not in the direction of any BF2/3 PR iterations. Refer to ACE 2 @ ArmA II. -

Grass is tied to Terrain settings, so Terrain Details set to lowest should disable it. :) -
Do you have VSync enabled? It will hard cap your FPS, if it ever drops below your monitor's refresh rate.
