Very quick impression: In the game at long last, the first thing that pleasantly strikes the player is the introduction and welcome from the dev team, explaining what ArmA III is and what it hopes to achieve. I like that they said, that it's an infantry game first & foremost. :) The interface in the main menu & options is very sharp and clean - serves its purpose great. I'm still at Mission Briefing, but I can already see that they've done wonders with the Map & its texture buffering problems <-- Perhaps I spoke too soon, will check in-game. ;)

I mirror this post, only that I've been through 2.5 hours of timeouts on each stage: from Adding to cart, View cart, to Checkout <-- where I couldn't afford to waste my time any longer, hence I'm currently downloading a basic Alpha edition on Steam. Might purchase a Supporter edition yet, if the Store itself gets out of Alpha stage.

Steam works like butter, downloading at my ISP cap speed after setting up a 2 minute purchase order. Get it on Steam if you're after Basic/Digital Deluxe eds.

It's not about the credits. I wanted to give them money, they didn't want to take any, so A3A is downloading on Steam right now for me. Might buy a second copy w/ Supporter ed, if it doesn't involve any custom installers like Sprocket.

Can anyone confirm this? I'm not dealing with Sprocket, no way.

Pretty poor management of the Store, no official response either. Placed an order - timed out again, can't return to the link page either. Don't trust systems that can't process payment instantly - wait till this is fixed, otherwise you'll be waiting for your key to be sorted via a manual method, and that takes time.

Unless you're buying Supporter edition, just purchase it on Steam - available now. Not worth the hassle at the moment, lessen the load for everyone who is waiting for SE.

Depends, really. I'm holding out for the Supp Ed., but I get the impression that BIStore shares the bandwidth with the forums. :icon_twisted:
