Erm what would be required for a passenger in an aircraft to use the COC UA system. I.e. a backseater in a two seat plane like the O-1 or an as yet unreleased PC-9?

Update, soldier pack will be released in the near future. The AML-90 and Scorpion can't be released until MLV mod release theirs. The 5Ton truck needs a texturer still, the LAV-III is a non runner for the time being and theres no point in making a new Heli at the moment because the army is in the middle of buying a totally new fleet and we dont know what we're getting yet. Also near to release is a fixed wing support aircraft to perform observation, FAC, CAS and Interdiction roles in support of the troops. But we could still use some help in order to be able to make a complete set for a battalion battle group. So we'd still appreciate: 1.A modeller(s) to modify the AML-90 model to an AML-20 (basically needs a new turret), and to build a Nissan patrol and LAV-III (the Irish one is unique) 2. Texturers for the MMP 5ton truck and any new models that are built. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks again Imshi

It was an old RSC file lurking after all. Great pack, especially the recce jeeps, once the MG error is fixed they'll be getting a lot of use althought 110s would be nicer. The fixed version will be appearing in screenshots and missions with the Irish Defence forces pack when its released so please don't take too long ;-) The Warrior is the only thing I dont really like, the door on the back is just too big and square. Anyone have trouble running the DKM UKpack with the mod?

Well rifles like the SMLE MK IV were fired at practice ranges of up to 600m but the reasoning behind the adoption of small calibre weapons was that most contacts took place at 200m or less. I've had time with the AK-74 and AK-47 and while ex servicemen who used them swear by their accuracy they didn't make a good impression on me, I could see the possibility of a good shot (Which most russians Ive met are) getting hits out to 500m with the 74 but not in battle conditions. The weapon is very muzzle heavy with the sights situated very far forward by western standards (except maybe on a target rifle) with a very slim butt (And an absurdly small pistol grip) I could see these being condusive to good range shooting but in a manouvre situation I believe that they would work against the user. So ingame I wouldnt really see why they should be that accurate, on the other hand it can be pretty good fun to have some super hard paras dropping into a battle and making your life hell.

Awww yeah, got my first decent fire&manouvre and bayonet assaults working last night...sweet. Is the discard LAW script in soldier or theweapon?

Actually I was referring to overall force quality, before people have more nationalistic apoplexy its due to centuries of experience in organising these things, I'm not making man for man judgements, I know a few people serving in the US forces and they seem to agree that the US army has considerable weaknesses on an organisational level i.e. political administrative...and Im Irish not south african. Anyway back to topic

I'm not a fellow brit (although a career in the BA is still a distinct possibility), I am on the other hand in an army with near identical training and a clear recognition of the BA as probably the best army in the world. So if I didn't say it earlier its about time the Brits got a proper representation in OFP. Well done etc

Top stuff PB, it seems that things are really starting to balance out PB. One question, I just updated the mod for the first time in a couple of months, do I need to restart the campaigns I was playing?

Something that the AI could use to whack out a treeline would be nice, would there be any point in integrating those AI mortar scripts into and addon? Yeah the WMIKs will do nicely, what about an LSV? (Who actually uses the LSV for milans, is it an Air assault role thing?)

Same here, the Sniper rifle is usually transported in its case on the snipers back.

I guess you've never been used to better Company level, was an error I forgot you don't use anything in the Carl Gustav class since LAW80, or a 60mm/51mm mortar anymore. So yeah stuff from support company, MILAN, GPMG SF and 81mm.

My experience of the SA80 is that its ergonomically the worst of the western bull pups by far, its like a target rifle rather than something designed for battle. It is very accurate (at least in the DCCT) but thats only part of the package with a battlefield weapon. Anyway back to topic, when will we see some company level support weapons?

Don't forget if you get bored with RAF stuff you can always chill out with a nice armed PC9 addon

This pack is really excellent, has the AI been tweaked? they seem to outperform the BIS AI consistently. The touches like the LAW80 discards are brilliant. The SA80 feels like the real thing, and the CEFO looks just right. I haven't really got any critiscisms yet since I haven't gotten to spend much time testing them out.
