Shouln't they be referred to as "Special Forces"? If "Black Ops" is what they call them casually of unofficially, then why not just "green berets"? But I think "Special Forces" is what they should be called in the game.

No no no, "African American" isn't PC anymore. Now it's just "Black". Get with the times man! LOL!!!

What is "PC"?

I have a question about OPF! To all you military knowing people. Are the uniforms in OPF realistic? Both American and Russian?

I have a few questions about the mission editor. I am assuming you can make your own mission in that, right? So I am learning new stuff in there so that I can make some. There are a few basic things I need to know. How to make a waypoint so that a unit moves to point 1, and then to point 2, and then back to point 1, and then back to point 2 and so on. He will basically be on patrol going back and forth. I tried gaurd and sentry, but it makes no sense to me how it works. Also, I made an independent unit, (one that is not under my command) a black op go to destroy an empty BMP. He walks up to it, lays down some satchels, and then just stays there. He does not run away and then detonate them like I expected. I then gave him a second waypoint to move far away from the BMP. I assumed that once he lays down the satchels, he will then move to the second waypoint, and then realizing that it is safe to detonate the satchels, will do so. Nope, he still didn't move. I guess because his first order to destroy the BMP wasn't complete. Help!

The best tactic is to attack your enemy from behind or from the side. And surprise them. Especially if you are in charge of alot of men. Bring them all into good view of enemy. And once they have all aquired targets, let them all open fire. In a few seconds all the enemy should be dead, and won't know what hit them. Form line, and keep prone, and advance, best way to assault with a large group. Tell them all to hold fire. Once every enemy is in firing distance. Have each man target a seperate enemy. Once they all go go go simultaniously, every enemy should be taken down at the same time. Those who managed to survive will be killed by your men on their own initiative when they fire their second shots. That's the best way to go with group movement. Makes firefights last a mere 2 seconds. And you have the complete advantage. That's why it's always important to know where the enemy is in relation to you by doing recon.

Those grafics are incredible. The indoor picture of the room almost looks real! But yeah, It would feel strange not to have a weapon view after play OPF for so long!

I don't see the point of fast cars when you can't even go faster than like 60 mph. Like you are gonna get away with driving at like 200 miled an hour or something!

Important questions that i got.
IceFire replied to IceFire's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Ok, I figured out how to do the jeep thing. You can just make them get out via waypoints. I just read some instructions about how to use mission editor. Those "scripts" and "trigger" stuff seems pretty hard. Like I don't even know what kind of scripts or triggers there are! Or can you make your own? Only thing I can't seem to do right now with the waypoints is make someone get into an empty hind, make him fly somewhere, and then land. I try making him "get in" the chopper, and then to "move" to somewhere else, and then "get out". All he does is get in the chopper, spin the propellers for a second and then get out. -

Well, I can't do that because he is not under my command. What is a script? Is that a sequence? I don't know how to make movie sequences yet. Also, how do I choose different weapons for the units in mission editor? Like giving a black op an M16 or something like that. I am a black op, and I want binocs. Also, how do you make it so that an independant unit does something with his action menu that is not in the waypoints menu? Like get into a jeep, drive to a waypoint, and then get out?

Lol! Kevin Caitiff and James Kirk are both kick ass names. Lucky bastards. My name sucks, I think I am going to change it one day. Yeahhhhh!!! That's a great idea. But I am just worried about what if a friend or someone from the past tries to contact me, and they can't!! That is the only thing that makes me hesitate to change my name. Ahh hell, soldiers who join the Foreign Legion get their names changed! Aculaud. .... Is that your last name?? It just didn't seem like a real "name" name to me.

Southern California, arn't they all just plain blonde there? I think they are all dyed blonde. Seeing a dyed blonde girl with a red sunburnt back with a beer in one hand and a cigarrette in the other laying on a beach sunbathing and cussing or bitching about whatever bs is disgusting to me. It's not the way a girl should be. They should be more softspoken. Like I said, pretty, warm, playful and feminine. Redheads are just more the compatible that way for me I guess.

Sorry, I like it the way it is. I think it's more "military minded". Y'know? Â You go out complete the objectives assigned and get home. It's like you are assigned a task. Â All you need to do is complete the damn task. That is how I gauge my skill. Â By completion of the tasks and doing them well. It's like having a very specific goal. Â And acheiving them. Â Determining on your own when you have completed the task is really vague for a warrior to go in and do a job.

I guess I'm one of those few guys who loooves redheads. Â They are just my type. Â And personality wise, they are really warm, playful and kind of goofy and sweet. Â I think dark haired girls are too serious. Â And blondes around at my college just drink and burp and cuss too much. Â Sorry, I like my girls to be feminine. Â I don't like loud girls who like to drink too much and get shitfaced. Â Not my kind of style. Just my opinion.

I think it's pretty funny.

LOL! I loved that S.H.I.T. one.

Gymbal, I just read that peice about "soldiers of fortune". Is that a legal practice? I mean is it legal to sell your servises as a soldier? That Neall Ellis guy in south Africa apparently has the British govt's approval. Who is he working for?

Is that how the game actually looks?? How old is this game?

I think they're sleeping bags.

I noticed something similar. It isn't that the gun is innacurate. The gun is just fine. What I noticed is that the aim for the iron sights doesn't line up with the dot of your non weapons view aiming. That little dot that tells you where your bullet is going to land I mean. For example, I hold still and not move the mouse. I see where I am aiming in weapon view. Then I switch out of weapon view. The dot is like one foot to the left. I have been completely still the whole time. I have noticed this several times. This only happens with the MP5 and M16 so far I have noticed.
