You think we want to be pilots so bad, whatever.  I don't give a rats ass, I'll do something constructive instead.  <span id='postcolor'> What are you talking about?? Apparently it was little Tovarish's dream to be a pilot but he said he had bad vision. And how is improving your vision not constructive?

Hey it worked! The change is amazing. It's now much more realistic. I fire a few bursts into an enemy far away, and when I walk up to his body I can see exactly where all the holes are. Â Right around where I fired at too. Then I tested it out. Â I fired one shot at a certain spot on his leg, and the gunshot wound was exactly where I shot him. I also noticed that the blood splatter is very realistic, as is their death animations. I shot an enemy one time in the head with the silenced pistol as he was standing. I immediately dropped. Â I could see the some blood splattered on the wall and ground about 6 feet from where he was. The splatter was just the way it would be in real life, from the angle I shot him from. I also noticed that they die in a realistic manner. Â They fall accordingly to the way I kill them. It's like they have a "ragdoll" effect. If they fall near a railing, their arm may just hang over the railing and his body will slightly lean against it. The damage also seems very realistic. Â It seems as if they are wearing some armor, but it's still within realistic bounds. So far I don't see any unrealistic aspects about gameplay. As for my criticisms: This one is only superficial, but when they walk, it looks like a robot walking. Â Looks kinda stupid. The weapons are a little difficult to aim. Â It's like the mouse is too sensitive or slow, or whatnot. Â I'm sure this can be adjusted though. You have to HOLD DOWN the "go prone", "kneel", "run" buttons. It would be alot easier if you could just tap each button to toggle each thing on and off. Â I hope this can be modified somehow. Lastly but most importantly for me is that the dead bodies and blood eventually disappear. Â I hope there is an option to make it so that bodies stay. But basically this is a fairly realistic if not very violent game. And I would think that all my criticisms except for the robot like walking can be adjusted somehow in preferences somehow. Oh yeah, and a few other criticisms I forgot. The M203 grenade has no real range. Â It lands a few yards away from you. Â Like you threw a grenade. And there is no night vision. I can add more detail or go on a bit, but I'm far too sleepy right now.

Fine, don't listen to me. But my friend did it, and he now has better than 20/20 vision in both eyes. It took him about 6 months of a little work. He used to have crappy vision and needed glasses.
-
Well obviously you're gonna havta atleast do SOME work for it. Duh!
-
Why don't you simply IMPROVE your natural vision if you want to be a pilot that bad? Most people are just too lazy to do it, so they just get glasses, or lazer correction done. I had a friend a long while back who had pretty lousy vision. He didn't want glasses, or contacts, and he didn't want laser vision correction. So he just decided to correct it himself. Now I think he has BETTER than 20/20 now in both eyes.

Hmm, I'm guessing that since a Masters degree is more prestigious than a Bachelors degree, he can get better jobs with it. It's only common sense.

Did the first RTCW game have real German spoken in it? It seems like it would, kindof like Medal of Honor.
-
Um, I really don't like this. It's new, different and therefore unfamiliar.

Yeah, that was the part. That was one of the best quotes/voice acting in the game. Anyways, like you said, back on topic...
-
Yeah, that was a good one too. "I'd put you on dishwashing duty but the truth is we need you on the front line" Â "The front line? Â But I havn't even completed my training yet" "I know, I know, but we have more tanks than tank crew right now and we can use all the men we got" Anyone remember that part? Â Man, that was so cool. They really did a beautiful job on the voice acting in this game.
-
I thought the voice acting for OPF was excellent. Very realistic and professional. "If I were a Ruskie, I would take one look at you and laugh myself all the way to the US of A, now gather up those kitbags and lets get moving ..." Or it went something like that.

La Poi, funny you should mention this. So far I think I have heard about like 7 new Medal of Honor games other than Allied Assault. This is getting bizarre. Lets see: Pathfinder, Spearhead, Underground, Pacific, Breakthrough, Rising Sun, Frontline, ... did I miss any?? I'm sure there are more. Don't get me wrong. I look forward to them do to the same immersive feeling from the languages I got when playing allied assault. I remember sneaking around in the officers uniform hearing the German conversations. But can someone clear this up for me too?

Oh well, maybe I'll just code up my own sim someday.<span id='postcolor'> Tovarish, you have Cuban citizenship? I thought you were a Canadian. Hmm. Maybe that was someone else? What's Cuba like?

Hmm, I just downloaded the SoF2 demo. I don't hear any foreign tongues. Another thing, alot of you mentioned that SOF2 had a very detailed damage system, or something along those lines. How is this so? I have played the ship mission and it seems pretty ordinary to me.

OMG!!! I don't believe it. After all the work I put in to sink this thread(I managed to get it to page 4 ) it is still back up. Thanks alot whoever went back to find it and then post in here. Oh well.

YESSSSS I CAN POST AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, yes, Half-Life was as revolutionary as was Wolfenstein 3d. Those were the 2 most influential games ever. Half-Life changed everything. All of a sudden there was a new game that all the games started to copy which lead us to the games we have today. Very fun game.

http://atkinscenter.com/Archive/2002/6/4-112589.html I've heard things like this before from teachers back in middle school. I really think this might be true now. What do you think? I sure am going to stop drinking milk now.

I was wondering in general, on average, how many pages deep do you go when looking through the threads on offtopic. Do you only look at the first page and consider the rest history? Do you normally peruse through a few pages to keep up on recent threads? Me, I almost never check the pages past what is on the first page.

I agree, there should be a competely new forum added that is for completely off topic. So one could discuss the weather, or new recipies or whatever.
