MP crash (CTD)  error 0xc06d007f - any clues?

thanks Lothen. I usually run them disabled and use the nvidia audio drivers, you looked at me system specs closer than I did, looks like a windows update caught me out on that one! Cheers, I hope it helps! You may be onto something there.

MP crash (CTD)  error 0xc06d007f - any clues?

Hi Kode. yes Ive tried it with firewall off. i have also tried it in DMZ (hardware firewall), and the router is allowing all the required ports. Ive tried it with avg real time scanning off, no different. I have now managed to join some random servers, but only by connecting with Gamespy, (but only with using the maxmem=512 gag) Â but it will not connect at all from the in-game server browser. Â I cant get my head around this, as it should be exactly the same crash in theory connecting from gamespy (or following an XFire buddy or whatever). Â What is gamespy doing that the in game server browser isn't? On the bright side, no in-game lockups in MP even after 4 hours when connecting with gamespy. i guess that is better than nothing. Game seems very good, worth upgrading my PC for, but I'd like to see it running right "out of the box" before I encourage any of my friends to get it.
  3. almost immediate Crash to desktop when connecting to MP from the in game server browser. shows a 0xc06d007f error fine in single player, runs sweet even on higher graphics settings, no problems at all (apart from a very occasional lock up 30 to 90 minutes in) the demo ran fine I'm V1.8  I have not had any earlkier versions in, as v1.08 was the download version I bought.  Well, half a game, really, as no Multiplayer. Does it on all graphics settings.  Does it with zone alarm in game mode,  zone alarm on, zone alrm off, and in/out of router DMZ. Ive deleted the ArmA folder = no change set mem to 512 = no change I googled the error, and it seems to be one thrown up by IE crashes, so that didnt help much. all me graphics drivers are up to date, XP is up to date, dont get this problem with any other application or game. any ideas?? Have I missed something? English language version  its all czech !

thanks for your quick reply  kode. appreciated. meanwhile I found the solution, on the Wiki, so ive posted it here in case anyone else had the same issue: The Subtitles are available in: German French Italian Russian Czech Polish English Go to your My Documents folder and locate a subfolder called ArmA. There you will find a file named ArmA.cfg. Open it in a text editor (e.g. Notepad) and on the first line you will find the following text language="(Enter Desired Language)"; change the language to the one you desire save the file and lauch ArmA. Yup that works. tried it. great. I'll be the bewildered one standing out in the open with a big neon sign saying "noob". thx for your help.
  7. Hi all, wonder if anyone can help here. Ive purchased and downloaded ArmaENG, version says v1.08 5163 and it all appears to be in Czech (being cornish, understanding english is as much as I can manage... as you can imagine the language barrier has put a bit of a crimp on the gaming experience) can someone please point me to the english language download version (url to download the english version from) Cheers Kev
