  1. Take a look at Arma 3 Offical site, there is a close-up view of rocked pod. Maybe it isn't just a coincidence, maybe it is :icon_twisted: And the warhead doesn't look as Hydra to me, Hydras are usually blue.

They are only blue all over if they are inert rounds. Blue tipped Hydra's are smoke signature rounds. Live are green tipped.

WTU/1B is the all blue practice round.

M274 is the practice smoke signature round.

I hope you have got this correct pettka?

  2. Thanks for the heads up.

I made a small mission for Mana. Sneak in, take out two targets taking part in an arms deal. Keep them from escaping. Then clear the remaining enemy positions on Mana. The ending is simple, working on making some ending debriefings, but I usually don't bother for release amongst my friends.

    - Simple briefing lays out the details

    - 2 possible insertion points

    - CLY bandage script

    - SP or 1-3 player coop

If anyone likes, I'm thinking of making a larger scale 10-man raiding team version of it.

This is a really good little mission thanks! Fabulous island too and is a nice alternative to the Communist / Taliban story.

Made some changes to the mission though that would suit my guys more but other than that it's spot on.

  3. Well this is set in the near future, in a full on conventional conflict, which is, I beleive what the Comanche was developed for. I'm sure in real life, if the need arose, the project could be revived quickly. In fact, what with stories of the "Stealth Blackhawk" perhaps it was never cancelled at all? ;)

No chance the Comanche would be revived quickly as it just didn't do the job it was supposed to.

Stealth Blackhawk is a misnomer. Good luck on hiding radar reflections from the big whirly disc. More likely it was noise reductions.

  4. Although i hope that all the mods that were created for arma 2 can be used straight into arma 3

Bohemia Interactive i love you. Alot.

I am going to hazard a guess with all the substantial changes that would be a no without tweaking?

  5. Since they have released the DLC to retail this often means they (the developer) have finished with the current game engine. Not always but it has been the case with many games such as Oblivion Dragon Age Origins etc. I see no reason why 'Reinforcements' was released as a pack if they were going to add more DLC?

I am getting the feeling ArmA II is now done and BIS are moving onto ArmA III as the Nvidia drivers is very odd.

  6. Adding Countermeasures to MV-22 and UH-Y (One mod in armaholic does) may break some campaign missions in Harvest Red

AV-8B, F35B, MH-60S, AH-1Z are all made ArmA 2 vanilla. Just because that ARMA 2: CO are basically running on arma2oa.exe or New OA Engine (improved) with ARMA 2 Contents loaded in-game. Some of the models may be too old to implement those new features of the new OA Engine, it may be other reasons that those features were not found on T-90.

They should have been updated. My personal opinion is that it's pretty poor show by BIS not to have updated all ArmA II features to OA standard.

  7. The addition of back-up sights was what made the SUSATs and ACOGs of BAF so enjoyable.

    .

Heck missed that on BAF how does one access the battle sights?

PMC for me was fairly poor. £8 isn't going to break the bank but it's an awful lot less DLC than the BAF was for the same money.

I think a few players will now be keeping a closer eye on DLC releases from BIS in future.

    +1!!

I honestly allready regrett that I spent the money on that DLC stuff, as I said earlier: I like the stuff presented there, british forces and pmcs is something fresh. But, not having a disc makes me feel, well...naked in a sense (and yes I am aware of the fact that it is called "downloadable content" ;) )

BUT there's one thing that really really annoys me: the locked pbos. I allways found that the ability to costumize missions, loadouts and whatnot was Armas biggest plus, and with that now gone.... well the game is becoming just another ordinary shooter :(

Stops piracy especially when people who haven't paid for DLC would start getting stuff for free from the MOD community (where others have paid for it).

    So a silly request!

  8. Marines in desert camo: http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?game=1&cat=addons&id=1195

Also Bink is working on some decent ones with all AO features.

Normal Marines do not use camouflaged weapons, only SF do. Though it would be nice to have some.

All that needs to happen is that BIS update the existing units. I still find it somewhat annoying that BIS has 'forgotten' to upgrade the existing spec bringing it OA compatible (backpacks etc all)!

  9. Highly unlikely was the last answer to that question.

Thanks Kylania. That's what I thought but was rather hoping BIS wouldn't leave the game half full. :j:

Great site you have by the way. Spent best part of two hours going through your scripts etc.

  10. Probably been mentioned before but has there been anymore feedback / updates on whether the USMC / Russian etc units from ArmA will be upgraded to OA standards?

Plenty of missions I would love to use the USMC in but they are somewhat neutered now as I find the backpacks and FLIR modeliing pretty much stock.

Not interested in ACE or mods but would like the main game to be all singing and dancing.
