Just tested it, nice intro with the smoke and all, the music didnt really fit with the nam setting but it was still very cool, now comes the bad part , i ctd on the second atack, i think this happens when there are many soldiers atacking at the same time, i dunno...parhaps you could make the enemy respawn considering they dont atack all at the same time. specs: P4 2.4 512 ddr ram gf4 ti4200 it must be a prob with the nam pack displaying many units at the same time, definatly not my comp... Small request: would like to have more cover in the LZ, its kinda open and hard to defend, also the view distance option isnt really necessary has we can change it in video settings . Almost forgot, the screaming and shouting is BRILLIANT! i loved it, very dramatic , will test more to see if the ctd happens in the same place, please keep up the good work, will give you more input l8ter .

Thats how its done in Vietcong, you place the nade stick, move away drom it and then you click again to place the string wich is atached to another small stick, it woks nice because you can hide it well in the bushes and because maps are very small, imagine the chances of catching someone with that on Nogova , it would work nice on clays and maybe flares though.

*bump* How is your progress? i just tried the demo mission and after delivering the ammo i started looking for targets , when my gunner started to go "chug, chug, chug..." with the machine gun the mission ended, i missed all the fun .

I think you should place addons in the addons folder only, do you have addons in the res. addon folder? ive heard that it can cause trouble, also how many addons do you have, if many you should search info on multiple addon folders or subfolders or something like that, i think i saw something about creating multiple addon/mod folders at the Avon Ladies FAQ, you should try there, good luck .

Last time i checked there was Machine Gunner and Heavy Machine Gunner under bas special ops soldiers , im very sure about this.

I never liked scoped assault rifles in OPF, the steyr, G36 and the XM with red dot sight were not very good aditions to the game in my opinion. Solution... i dont use them , i like the ranger/delta pack very much and im glad they (BAS) gave us a wide range of weapons for us to use with, but i also agree that the SAW with acog scope is a bit overkill and like the g36 can unbalance the battlefield in MP, i know you guys aim towards realism but game balance and player use of skill is also important, i hope you guys take this has constructive criticism and keep up doing kick ass content for this great game, thank you .

Better damage system for vehicles

Ive had times were the main gun was damaged and it would not shoot, ive also experienced damaged tracks by running over mines and the tank would not move (although the armor was in pretty good shape), and one time the turret was hit and would not rotate , it works pretty well . -

Yeah, give us a good mission from time to time, and i mean a good mission, the sp missions that came with red hammer and resistance werent that great, i know theres the user made missions and the editor is there for a purpose, but it would be nice to download a mission from BIS site that would work properly, without any errors or that wouldnt make us hunt a missing addon that we dont even like just to play it . -
Voted yes, im really more interested in the infantry, special forces and jungle warfare side of the game but... thats just me .

Maybe we should have the option to select manual or auto, i cant use manual, tried it on mafia but the cops would always catch me , i think manual transmission is much harder to use because we have to constantly press many keys to switch gears, i like to press W, steer with mouse and keep my eyes in the beautyfull landscapes of OPFs islands .

...yes, and did i mentioned that the VC/NVA used elephants to carry supplies through the "ho chi minh" trail, this is not a joke, they actually did . Big animals are questionable but birds, insects and maybe some lizards would be really great to have in jungle of vietnam.

Im sry if i sounded ungratefull in my post, it is a good thing to be able to choose whose version we like best and whose version we want but... it just leaves some of us thinking that the hard work and time spent recreating an already existing addon could be used for new content to OPF . I had no intention of ofending the addon makers and there really isnt any need to flame addon users (wich are a minority of OPF players, unfortunetly), it is the addon maker decision to do whatever he feels like and in the future i will respect their decision .

Chopping down the trees to barricade a road is a great idea Time, it would allow some very nice valley ambushes, perhaps we could do it using claymores, this could have been a great thread discussion if you used that idea has a title, unfortunetly this idea came up on a thread called "...rip a radiator of a wall and drop...", i dont think it will reach the devs because it doesnt sound serious enough . -

There are toilets in some of the OPF buidings, would like to interact with those uh? ...how would we interact with those objects then? the action menu in OPF already has so many functions that it becomes very confusing at times .

Thanks for your replies, the anims folder eh? I think im gonna delete non bis addons from res. addon folder, that was the most probable cause for this little problem, thanks again guys, i really apretiate your help and yes my spelling is very bad too .

I really wasnt sure about posting this on troubleshooting or here and i also think the mods would hit me with a shovel if i bumped the old sebnampack2 thread again, my apologies if i screw up but i could use some help . -Could anyone please tell me whats the La Trang intro movie file called and where do i place it? Every time i use the island and exit to main menu the mission i was playing appears has the main menu cutscene and im clueless of what to do in order to fix it , its the first non oficial island that i use and any help would be great, thanx in advance oh and i did search the entire nampack thread, very big .

Why recreate an already made good addon? i mean if the already existing birds were bad i could understand but, fact is bas littlebird pack is great and already used by the majority of people here, doesnt make sense ...

Im rather new here but i remember him from visiting the forums long time before registering, i rarely go to the offtopic section of the forum because what we all have in comon is Operation Flashpoint. I think everything that is not OPF or BIS related should not be discussed here because it has nothing to do with what keep us has fan base/comunity for OPF. Im very sry to see Denoir leaving this forum, perhaps his words were a bit strong but hell in his shoes i would have done the exact same thing, i admire his atitude and character, not many ppl stick to what they believe when they see trouble coming their way, there really wasnt any need for this to happen...good luck man, take care.

WOOHOO!!! I'll be in 29 Palms around the end of this year for MOS schooling. Â Can't wait to see it and try it out myself! How bout sharing some info with us then, i dont think VBS1 is considered top secret/classified stuff, would be nice to hear about its interface, features and cool stuff . edit: perhaps VBS1 doesnt render Huge detailed islands, maybe they just recreate small real world locations for training purposes, i assume this because on Ralphs picture there really isnt much stuff around the town .

Recomended system requirements for VBS1 are not so high: -1.7 P4 (or better) -512 ram -gf4 64 megs. what i always wondered about it(VBS1), is if its possible to simulate close quarters combat situations inside buildings like hostage rescue situations and room clearing tactics, i mean we all know the OPF engine is very limited in that area. Thanx for the link, interesting reading there .

Im sorry for this small offtopic but you could have just pushed the "F" key for flashlight, used light sticks to mark intersections or mark walls with your knife . I have a feeling tunnels will not be part of OPF2, i just dont see how that could e done on this type of game engine. -
...first song of "blow up your video" from ac/dc , and BIS said they would reveal atleast one screan around summer time i think , i know it is still early but im a very curious person .
