I just checked GE and Limnos still looks like a bad choice (despite having donkeys). Check out Lesvos to the southeast of Limnos near the coast, it has lots of pineforest but some dry terrain too, its more diverse and interesting.

I thought A2 was too green and OA too brown. Both Malden and South Sahrani were supposedly mediterranian and they werent barren. Lemnos seems too barren for mixed gameplay but atleast it has donkeys..

I dont see the point in making a gigantic island/map. 2 smaller islands seem more reasonable since theres no point loading 477 km^2 of terrain and 3 million world objects just to use a fraction of the map on a mission. The Flashpoint isles were large enough for every single game mode supported by the game, DM, CTF, Hold, coop, CTI. Chernarus on the other hand had lots of wasted terrain and flat, empty farmland. I would rather get two maps like Everon and Malden (ok larger and more detailed) than a single map like Chernarus or Takistan again, i hate feeling like an ant on a flight simulator. Put 1000 players online on a map the size of Everon and i wont feel lonely and bored anymore :D .

Arma: Advanced Warfighter? My simple guess is that BIS just needed to show something new and diferent since no one would be all that excited if they showned pictures with the same old Abrams, t72, mi-8, etc in a new game that doesnt really look all that new to begin with.. edit: But the "Hamov" has to go!

I watched some gameplay today, i think this game can just be watched and its not really diferent from playing? It could be due to how it was being captured but the performance seemed really awfull and there was late texture loading and "lod morphing", ala gta iv. TBH i would rather have RDR for the PC than this.. more gameplay and freedom i think.

A few years back i thought that with so much room for improvement wasting time and work on ragdolls would be a total waste. Today i would still prioritise other aspects of the game/engine over trivial ragdolls but i think its time to start looking into it. H&D2 already pulled this off in 2002 plus if Arma 3 will require a i5 cpu they might aswell put it to good use.

I remember the second one better because it was a frustrating exercise of trial & error with a good bit of luck involved, but i still liked it. Looking at the past decade it seems highly hypocritical to celebrate Osamas death with the enthusiasm im witnessing, celebrating the death of a man responsible for taking ~3000 north american lives while the former US president is responsible for the loss of ~4500 north american lives in Iraq alone? In Afghanistan some 1500 north americans have been lost since 2001 too so simply put 6000 Men were sacrificed to avenge 3000, and lets not forget the tens of thousands of wounded, the coalition losses, aid workers, media.. Now i cant be bothered to look up how many "terrorists" the US/NATO/Coalition Forces eliminated because im positive that these numbers are hard to get (and are probably way off) but im pretty sure that by invading foreign countries the number of "terrorists" increased dramatically. And ofcourse the worst part, the civilians of said foreign countries, the dead and wounded. 100.000? 1.000.000? I dont feel for Bin Laden but if you ask me this BS war of terror isnt worth it.

PC gamer didnt like Red River. 45/100? Ouch.. I didnt like the review, the guy just bashed the game focussing mostly on the bad a.i. and bad dialogue, i think he should have distributed the bashing more even betwean all other bad things. No versus multiplayer, no vehicles, no editor and no freedom?

I played the real Operation Flashpoint recently, 10 years old and still delivering! I dont think i would get 10 days from RR, probably not even 10 hours...

Crytek should put something in the graphics settings menu to have some pc users believe they are running the game in DX11.. that way the game will feel like a superior one, just how Crysis felt superior on next gen DX10 graphics api :rolleyes: . Crysis felt like half a game wrapped up in a hurry so i'd like to know if this one is actually good, not if the bullet holes disapear :rolleyes: . This nerd crusade seems unjustified so far.

That doesnt look like part of a game world but more like a traditional type map. Im guessing that making a large world for a game without vehicles or freedom of movement wouldnt make much sense? And that game mode looks rather dumb, you drop somewhere and fight several waves of respawning bots, because? Even in a game like L4D you have to go from A to B for a purpose, c'mon.. the guy on the radio says theres bad guys incoming before they even touch the ground, with only 4 people wouldnt it be better to GTFO? Bad game design...

Didnt they say RR was going to be better than DR? It looks like the exact same game... that non animated med pack looks kinda disturbing. So they took out the vehicles, the editor, adversarial MP modes.. the tether is still there and the game plays the same as DR (wich everyone hated). So.. what did they change and improve? :confused: .

Thats some great driving, i cant help thinking that a track IR device could allow him to play action games alot better but its not enough.. If companies created gaming input devices for people with these types of disabilities then software developers would be likely to ensure compatbility atleast..
