    Future US soldiers and weapons

In general the 5.56 NATO has a much greater terminal effect than the 7.62x39mm. Â The 7.62x39 is too stable and bores a nice clean hole. It has numerous failures to stop even at close ranges. Â

I am not vouching for the veracity of the author, just that these are some good, detailed pictures of Russian small arms.

    Real life photography/photo editing

Hey Ralphie, Was driving through LA today, on the EXACT same roads you were! What a coincidence! Maybe I gave you the finger like I did for most other LA drivers ! Was on my way to the Glendale swap meet for M151 parts! It sucked! About 16 people there and an M38A1! So I left! And then I called a guy in Long Beach who had a jeep for sale! But he was tired and jetlagged after getting back from D-Day reenactments! So my trip through LA sucked! Then when we tried to skip through Camp Pendleton to get to the rear Fallbrook gate, they wouldn't let us through - which sucked! So then we went the long way around and stopped by the body shop to see how my jeep was doing, and the guy wasn't there, which sucked! Then we went to Fallbrook and the guy with a pile of jeep parts and an M151 has yet to get the thing running, which sucked! Then we stopped by a convenient store to get some soda and twinkies, but they didn't have any twinkies, which sucked! So then we went home and I had to reorganize my whole office workspace because it was just painted, which sucked! So now I'm sitting here with a computer monitor on my chair divided from the case by a shelf that the monitor won't sit on, which sucks! Today sucked! That's all I've got to say. No photos, because it sucked. Oh, but I did take a picture of a dead guy by the side of the freeway but I doubt it would create a very nice feeling towards me if I posted it. Enough of that BS, here's a picture of my wall. ]http://www.tacticalblunder.com/thewall.jpg I hope its for Connie and not MSG Half-Mast.

I think they work for the Russian Government so a dog might not be practical unless you need it to sniff for explosives in Chechnyia.

    Warrior Vs Bradley

A 40mm projectile will have to deform around three times the amount of surface area to penetrate the same amount of armor as a 25mm projectile of the same diameter assuming equal construction. Which is easier to drive into a board? A skinny nail or a fat one? DU has numerous advantages over tungsten
  16. Heavy Metal

    Warrior Vs Bradley

What makes penetration is the sectional density of the projectile and its hardness, not it's caliber. Small projectiles can and do often out penetrate larger projectiles. A small projectile has to deform much less armor to penetrate. For example: A 9mm parabellum FMJ will easily out penetrate a .45ACP FMJ.

of course fas.org could be wrong, but please give me some source were it says can be fired on the move. Fas.org about M2A2 and smokeblock, thank you for sharing your thoughts about cows and kung fu in a thread about IFVs.. It can fire the 25mm chain gun on the move. Â The Bushmaster cannon that can penetrate the frontal armor on a T-72. To Add:

The Bradley can fire on the move, that is incorrect info you have.

    Warrior Vs Bradley

I have reports from Iraq of the 25mm rounds from the M2's Bushmaster cannon going thru the front AND rear of the turret of an Iraqi T-72 when fired at near point blank range. Even on an old monkey-model T-72, thats impressive as hell!

    The Iraq Thread 2

That's right. Other antisemites are more than happy to swallow this trash up as well. I am compiling a list of all Israeli conmspiracies I believe to be genuine! We are on to you Avonlady! We know you are the ringleader! So far: One sock dissappears in the washer??? The Israelis did it! A cake falls? Yup, the Israelis! Cat claws up the sofa? Yep! Those darned Israelis put him up to it! Who took the last cup of coffee in the pot and didn't make another? Israelis again! Who invented telemarketers? Thats right! the Israelis did!

Not enough of an improvement over the M-4 There are Improvements to the M-4 in SOPMOD II that addresses smoe of the issues in that HK sales PDF comparison sheet. Think about it. Except for the change from the Bolt Action Springfield to the Semi Automatic Garand, how many times have the US changed centerfire services rifles for another of the same caliber as the previous weapon? Never, nada, none. We won't change service rifles until there is a change in caliber, its that simple. Too much sunk cost in the existing system that is performing just fine. If we were not using a 5.56mm weapon now, the XM-8/G-36 might be a good bet but we are already using one.

    Joint ammo and magazines (jam)

My gripe is intensity, the JAM tracers seem much brighter than the stock tracers. I can tell you from personel experience that tracer, while looking like freakin's star wars on earth at night look very dim in daylight. I think the intensity of the stock tracers are closer to reality.
  25. Heavy Metal

    Joint ammo and magazines (jam)

Ok, I have another observation. The JAM tracers are too bright in daylight, WAAAAAAAYYYY too bright. Tracers, especially from smaller caliber weapons are not easily visible in daylight. They should be failt and washed out.
