Hey all, Working on a mission where as soon as a team of soldiers enters a certain radius (of a trigger) a specified unit lays down his weapon, and surrenders to the opposing force...thereby ending the mission. I've searched the board here for topics on "surrender" and "drop weapons" and "capture", but all have turned up nothing. Anyone able to help? Thanks much in advance! Hawk

  3. Hello all, Forgive me if this has already been asked, but a small question for you all. Is there anyway to make a trigger activate if a vehicle's (say, a helo's) damage equals a certain percentage? (for example, 75%) Thanks in advance, and again, apologies if this is a repeat. Cheers! Hawk

  5. Hello all, I've searched around, but not really sure how to phrase what I'm looking for. I have a POW in a camp I built that is set to a captive. What I'd like to do is have a trigger set so that if they go within a certain area (i.e. escape their pen), the guards open fire on the "escapee." Any ideas? Thanks much in advance, Hawk

    He still just stands there. It allows me to issue him orders....and he says "roger"..... ....but then he waits about 30 seconds and then says "negative." Hawk

    First off let me say, a huge thanks to you that've been helping me out here. I'm making progress, but still having problems. The VC commander (it's a Viet Nam mission) named co (for commanding officer) is now surrendering to my guys, and is joining the group. However, now the problem I'm having is that he won't move! lol He seems to be rooted to the ground and will not follow commands. My character is a Captain....he's a Lieutenant, so I out rank him. I tried having him move, board a chopper, etc.....yet he doesn't want to move. Any ideas? (oh, and I used Jap's method listed above) Thanks again guys...very much. Cheers! Hawk

    Thanks for the help so far Jap. What I'm looking for now is how to combine these all so that I have a trigger that activates when my forces get within a certain range of the target. Once they have him in custody, they move him to the waiting helo, and the mission ends upon returning to base. Hope that helps a bit more..... Thanks again in advance! Hawk

This is probably a very rudimentary question for you seasoned veterans, but this is my quandry: I'd like to have a CH-47D continually take off from one base, land at another for roughly 2-3 minutes, take off again, and fly to the original base and land there for 2-3 minutes. After that cycle is complete....I want it to repeat over and over.... Not being well versed in scripting, what is the best way to accomplish this? Thanks much in advance! Hawk

    Scripting question

    I said scripting (my bad)....but will settle for anything that works. Tried it with waypoints....but still not working correctly. It does fine on the initial trip (with the above listed layout), but on the return trip, the helo doesn't land....and doesn't repeat the order. Thank for trying though. The search continues. Hawk

  15. Hello again all, I've done the search, but haven't found quite what I'm looking for. What I'd like to do is have a player start off the mission in a freefall (no chute open yet). Then, a few hundred feet from the ground, the chute opens and he falls safely to the ground below. I'm not worried about having a vehicle involved, just would like to do the freefall, and safe landing. Anyone able to help? Thanks very much in advance! Hawk

  17. Hello all, I did a search, but couldn't quite find what I needed. In my mission, I have an MI-17 dropping off a squad of Soviet soldiers. This is the script I am using for loading the squad: "_x assignascargo heli2" foreach units aigrp;"[_x] ordergetin true" foreach units aigrp heli2 is the chopper, aigrp is the squad of soldiers. My question is, after the soldiers are dropped off and the chopper leaves, my guys kinda sit there and don't do much. How do I give them orders as a seperate entity? I've tried assigning them waypoints, but when I do that, before the board the chopper, they just start running to the waypoint! lol Thanks very much in advance! Hawk
