If it's NVIDIA: Maruk stated somewhere else, that you should try to downgrade the drivers, as the current ones have some problems here and there. Dunno exactly where and by what calculations, but you might give it a try?

"windows firewalls are pathetic" like every other personal firewall installed on your client is.

The style of that Video is really RTL2-ish. But it's sad to see old problems re-introduced anyway. -
I guess it is again the fillrate thingy that makes it a little edgy and blurry.

Christian.1987 has posted some new shots at HX3. Edit: +2 here

It is probably called 505 and replacement takes at least two weeks from friday on :D

There are some reports from our community and others, but far less than expected after reading the PCGames article, that the disc throws checksum errors while installing the game. One gamer tried it 15 times before giving up. Others report that they cannot really understand why PCGames called it a bug-disaster and thereby claiming it is unplayable. Because it is said to be playable pretty well, mostly from all first 'hands-on' i've read so far - even in the Gamestar's forums. Of course - bugs exists! It is not a secret anymore, that there will be a release patch for the Petergames version, but nothing really major that makes the game freezing or stuff. There is no FPS limiter like in ArmA was, thanks to the copyprotection, no significant fps drop near fooliage. I was shocked first when reading that article, but hey: This time it is not a general bashing that started because of an unplayable game that was released, it is a particular report that seems to stand a little bit alone. However, patch is on its way. Hope it's ready on friday.

As said, in some areas the German build is available at stores from now on. Guess there will be further reports to see what is an error caused by such a crappy installation or what is really a bugging bug. -

Why not? There are also versions available at stores as reported by buyers. Yes, today! So the bad press is about to spread all over the german communites. That is goind to be a sad day for the folks at BIS... -

Folks at BIS are busy like hell currently. So everything that was said remains 'probably' regarding to what is actually done at the moment and what is in the pipeline or on todos. But you can expect that it is goal to bring all the versions to one level, as it would be a little silly to have different versions playing online. Content-wise buyers of the German version will have to have patience. But on the other hand, they are the first diving into ArmA2. However, let it be rainy and cloudy over the next weekend :D -

It is not a secret that i do badly miss FLIR/TI in ArmAII, but these pictures let me forget about it a little. Those are stunning pictures, really, especially from the nature's page on arma2.com. When OFP2 becomes a 'realistic walking simulator... with ingame crashes', than ArmAII will definitely become the new nature simulator. Where Sahrani lacks in 'i feel being home'-mentality, Chernarus seems to rock in every aspect. Now that's like a true successor to OFP! In Addition to what Dyslexci says (i'm ignoring his pretended dyslexia, since his nick is a real crackjack and every time it stops me from reading on, as my brain tries to assemble the name correctly ;)) about the new animation model in ArmAII and that he starts to find even deathmatches can be fun. ArmAII seems a rounded product, in both, visual- and gameplay-wise. Fine so far, damn fine! -

At PCGames.de it is said: "ArmA 2, das von der USK die Freigabe ab 16 Jahren erhielt, erscheint exklusiv für den PC und durchläuft momentan einen intensiven Betatest. Morris Hebecker, Geschäftsführer von Morphicon und Peter Games, beteuert, dass Konsolenpläne keinerlei Einfluss auf die Gestaltung der PC-Fassung hätten" -> 'ArmA2, rated for age 16, will be released exclusively on the PC and is currently undergoing intense beta testings. Morris Hebecker, CEO of Morphicon and Petergames, assures, that plans to bring ArmAII on the next-gen consoles, will not have any impact on the design of the PC version.' But, of course, that says nothing about the topic. So i guess the BIS folks need to make a statement here ;) -

@Nemesis: Yes, German ArmA version can be switched to English via ingame switch - i switched, since there are some serious translation glitches like the M203 is translated into "Raketenwerfer" what would mean 'rocketlauncher', instead of "Granatwerfer" what means exactly what is described, a grenade launcher. However, the feature to switch the language came later with a patch and was not accessible at first iirc. The usual things with translations. Best example is how the german dub studio that dubs The Simpsons translates 'second hand smoking' that rather means to smoke passively (a native speaker told me so) than to smoke something, that someone already had smoked :D In German 'second hand smoking' was translated into "Zweite Hand rauchen", meaning the last part of the sentence above this one. And that's bullshit because it should mean "Passivrauchen". The dub authors mostly don't know sayings or abbreviations, that's why many times, its better to have movies and games and even books (i did it with Bowden's BHD and Killing Pablo, Wright's Generation Kill and Hooker's M.A.S.H) in English. -

Well, it is clear how to rebuild them and stuff, but the problem was, that it is strange that destructed buildings since OFP where rebuilded automagically during the campaign and Batdog wanted them to stay destructed. I just pointed out, that some buildings can be key element during the campaign and therefore would need to get rebuilt once destructed. Indestructable buildings is not a solution to me, since any intense bombardment would destruct any building, in parts or the entire thing.
