  2. Nope, I did not have Carla joining me. In general the mission was extremely easy for me, as long as I made sure to have my three group members driving the ammo trucks (yes, three of them ) I stole and making them do so at a large distance. Could it have to do with the fact that I was fully armed using weapons from the well-stocked bases? I.e. looking friendly to them by the sound of my gun )
  3. I killed some more troops. The codeword appeared about 15 minutes after my last kill. Is sending off Floyd with the rescue chopper a pre-requisite for the codeword? The codeword appeared within a second after I entered the vicinity of the three trucks that were located near the chopper and the text about Floyd keeping his word appeared. Secondly I still believe that for some reason Berias men just don't fire at me anymore. I had this strange situation where I closed in on a BMP2 with Marco as a driver and me in the truck as well. I noticed the BMP2 when we were too close so I was just waiting to be shot. It didn't happen for at least 20 seconds. Then I jumped off the car to kill the tank. A split second later the tank opens fire at the truck, now only containing Marco. Also when encountering patrols I could shoot most of the enemies at close range without getting any fire back, whereas my men are shot immediately, even if they are further away.
  4. Ahhh.... I think I misunderstood the 80% ending. I thought it was killing 80% of the troops at the base and airfield and disposing of the boss. I will move on from my last savegame and kill 80% off all the enemies on the island (I'm glad it isn't over yet :-D)
  5. Great mission!! It seemed however that at some point Berias troops hardly attacked me anymore. (They did shoot any of my team members on sight though.) During the dark I was able to approach them to about 200m and used a AK74PSO to kill them all without them firing back at me. This way I was able to finish the game by killing 80% of the troops on the arsenal and the airbase and killing Beria as well. In the end, however, I did not get a codeword. Did I do something wrong? The game did end for me and the first three objectives showed up as completed. (Investigate helicopter landing, Find your friend etc... and Dispose of etc...)

    ArmA Warfare 1.1

    Had the exact same thing happening in Paraiso. I extensively checked all surrounding buildings, but couldn't find any resistence or opfor left. The capturing-bar just didn't appear.

    Boat addons

    Thanks for your reply. I noticed that one though. I would, however, like to have more different types of boats. Such a large landing craft will usually be guarded by other boats, being able to give supportive fire and such....
  9. For an invasion type of mission I am looking for some boats. In OPF there were more available than in ArmA it seams. I have been searching for custom made ones, but all I could find sofar was an alpha version of a large (2nd world era type) landing boat and a project in which an aircraft carier is built. Are there any boat addons available for ArmA that I am not aware of?

    The AI not being able to board ships, unless they are positioned on land (and thus unable to move) seems to be fixed. Â
  11. Yup, at least in v1.08 (Tested this by restarting ARMA with the old link not using the beta. I verified the version number it displays after startup (1.08.etc...) and AI does easily board the boat in the exact same mission. This needs to be fixed, or all mission containing a boat for landing on the coast or escaping from it will become impossible.
  12. I would like to know if anyone else noticed/ reproduced : Some more info: I positioned the boat on the edge between Eh85 and Ei85 at the 0m altitude contour. I repositioned it several times, but the only positions the AI enters the boat, it is too far on land (e.g. it wont move anymore.) I do not use any mods, scripts or whatsoever (I don't even know how to use those.... yet ) I really like v1.11beta sofar, since (for me) it is completely stable (in contrast to v1.08), so I would really like to know if there is a way around it.
  13. One possible problem, I encountered is that in a self-made mission, my men wont board a boat anymore, unless it is positioned on land (where it can be boarded without going into the water.) This mission worked nicely, until I installed v1.11. I confirmed that it still works when starting Arma v1.08 using the old shortcut. Could this be related to the changes in AI pathfinding for bridges?
  14. My problem is acutually at the end of the mission where I am put in a chopper with a huge firepower, but harly being able to hit the enemy before (some of them) hit me. Am I missing anything? (Except my targets, that is?)
