Cannons are getting recoded, cos from the cwmod days, they were coded in such a way that they would not attack other cannons really (and without the optics) you couldnt aim them by sights, as you well know, so we'll add those too. So then they'll get a recoding, incidentally the coehorn already has, and uses two crew now instead of one. Anyway heres a pic of the artillery with the keg effects.

Okay, someone emailed me and i lost the addy after deleting it oops, asking about the range of normal confederate soldiers we have. lol seems zoauves just doesnt exciiite ya huh kid? hehe Right, House Divided has 21 custom units thru alteration and object selections etc, (still with tasty run fast lods) for 'basic' confederate soldiers. That is 21 basic and different rebs, and these are in 2 groups in the editor also. And in each group theres more than 4 types of musket i think, its a real mish mash o' these boys. There are some more regular groups of course for the rebs too. Anyway i thought i would show a picture of them all, they are partly obsured by the new weapons. (again remember lads, 60 faces!!! all automatic, all random, so u'll make some new friends with these lads. Finally, the post effect (if u notice it on this pic) is an optional dll keg (like conspiracies) except ours is dirty, that is OPTIONAL but makes the game attractive, and will be in the download for those who want it. Finally, these units sum up to me, more the realities of that war, its grim, horrible, dirty reality, the union troops will be getting dirtier too (not as bad as these poor guys tho)

Good morning! Yeah i know lol Longstreet ur not the first to say 'if our mod is as good as it looks etc' your gonna get me paranoid about the hype lol! Well basically i think so far its coming along really well, and u guys will soon get a chance to sign up to join our mod as beta testers and comrades in arms etc. Was working the other day on the artillery, mortars etc, and yep they'll fire custom cannon balls that you'll see gliding thru the sky towards the enemy aieee Now that triglav and picket have retired from cwmod, I will be a little more candid in talking about our development in relation to our shared foundation with cwmod (as im guessing that their release is to be the last.) and i mean that only in terms of technical descripts and boring but interesting things, not like omg our mod is sooo much cooler than theres bs etc. In fact, any cwmod members would be useful ONLY if triglav doesnt need them anymore, if they want to help out here. I'd also encourage those folks wanting to join in the discussion of the civil war mod from theres to come over too, and help craft the development of this one (which is certainly here to stay)

Ah what the hell, heres a wee pic for u lads Some eye candy of the 1st Louisiana Zouaves (forgive any typos! lol) Obviously all units have blood textures, (quite nasty sore looking ones at that) but injury has to be depicted more realistically than that, and since medics can't really 'cure' anyone in 10 secs like they can in ofp, and certainly not in our period setting, mortality must be represented better. Hence it has been, as you can see in this picture, (and as is typical in the mod) during the fighting, men will live, die or lie injured - for some time (bout 40 secs) This is a simple adjusting of the cpp, no scripts etc. There will be a new animation for injury (just stuck a stock one from the game for the pic.) But its just to get your imaginations going i suppose

Oh what joy, just to keep you posted, ive been working on the units now, getting their lods top notch, and they are. Basically you can run a lot of them without slowdown, and they look attractive at all ranges, why? Well lol not just the er genius of zal and my textures haha but also cos of Lt HuNTeR's help with model lods. Its not a thing u can see in any screenshot, but rest assured, the lods for these units (that once coded and object selected come to some 100+ so far) is a lot of work! You will im sure be pleased with the result. Once these are finished, I will be either working on the special suggestions (of the 20 regiments) or finishing coding for artillery (most likely actually) and our 'injury system' animations.

Well if ya found 1.2 cwmod pretty nice... Its impossible to know when this release will be finished exactly, but i can say approximately that an internalised team beta (which thread regulars can apply to join the team as beta testers) will be available within 2 months. Considering the time it takes for modellers or texture artists to pump out this stuff at this standard (im not considering myself great in this addon making respect) then its understandable the time it takes etc. But i will let you know, till then we like to keep you chaps posted. The main differences with the cavalry is that we are looking to create a singularly animated horse + rider unit, as a temporary version we may make cavalry units utilising a similar scripting process currently in cwmod.

Despite our differences, triglav making a mod release is never easy (and pleasing everyone is impossible) so congrats on release of 1.2 from the house divided team to yours. -

Well gents, not that we're aiding and abetting the enemy muahahah lol, but cwmod 1.2 is released, and id suggest u chaps go check it out etc etc, Meanwhile, here is a final fantastico - final list of weapons that will be in the first release. * Springfield1861 *(3 Band) Enfield Musket *Lorenz Musket *Sharp's Rifle *Henry Rifle *shotgun *Spencer Rifle *Spencer Carbine *Winchester *Sharp's Carbine *Richmond Musket *Springfield1855 Musket *Fayette Musket * (2 band) Enfield Musket * Whitworth Rifle * Enfield Carbine * Colt Revolver Rifle * Colt Navy Pistol * Deringer Pocket Pistol * Remington Pistol * Let Mat Pistol * Baby Dragoon Pistol The weapons that will not be included in this release (but will subsequently) include the Colt Peacemaker modelled by Lt HuNTeR, and another pocket pistol and winchester with scope by Williams. In anycase that is a TOTAL of TWENTY-TWO - 22 weapons done at the quality you have seen of those modellers and texture artists that contributed. If we go beyond this number of weapons for the first release, i think we'll be grinding iron as they say. So, at the moment, some lods are being completed, 1 or two more optics, then some coding and sound effects and the full weapons of this release will be finished, meaning I shall be moving onto units, which will see the makings of all the special units suggested to us (with a sgt, and corporal nco using object selections for rank tabs) and our cavalry. At the same time our map will be developed, however we may opt for a simpler map, to ensure we can make a release sooner rather than later. As always comrades i appreciate ur thoughts

Alright, well here is the first weapon model produced by Williams the new chap that joined our mod as a modeller. This is the Colt Baby Dragoon, and ive edited a wee texture to make it nice etc. Overall i nice addition, tell me whit ya think boys

Yeah the lemat is already in it, so is the colt navy, and the deringer and the remington, i mean there already finished, there is also a colt baby dragoon, and another pocket pistol, and probably another pistol somewhere (looks around) The optic, follows the animation of the pistol, which is 1 arm extended holding it out, (not firing from the hip) but arm pointed out, so in ofp u can see the arm and aim from the optic. um... let me give an example... I mean i want to have quite a few pistols, cos they don't take up much and they will give variety to the foes you'll meet however, too many pistols will comprimise the speed of our mods development in other areas hence, we will probably end with about 7. But thats not bad for the first release. EDIT// Oh and btw in the pic is the lemat

Yo lads! Right so the Whitworth is done, and so is the cavalry carbine enfield for the rebs... Optics have been done for the muskets, shaps, spencers and pistols basically. They have colour optics, pretty basic but attractive enuf, far nicer than the old ones... Just an optic to do for the henry rifle now, and i will get to doing some coding/ sounds, but the weps are getting there, id say just about 80% done, omg lol

Hi shinkansen just trying to get those ww1 units hosted for ya, having some probs with server, will get it sorted tho! CHRISTMAS GREETINGS to our comrades at the WW1 mod from House Divided, your mod teams work is appreciated and stretches the boundaries of possibilities no less than those mods reflecting the era of musketry. Keep up the good work, and rest assured that as time comes back, i will be greatly expanding the ww1 infantry in support of your vision and efforts.

Yep Lt HuNTeR that ol' xmas tree addon will just not do! lol Thanks very much longstreet, your words of support, and dynmanite cows and harley (our historical noncho) are all appreciated, and help i think to get us new members and also to mantain a comfortable and happy level of morale in a mod that the work is being appreciated and that people will be looking forward to playing it. When that feeling is lost u can see where mods have slowed down etc... (not in our era of set mods but in others) Thats why as a community its so important to support the mod and artists doing this work, and is why we at house divided take so many requests and listen to what you guys have to say cos we all consider you posters, an extended family of the mod team And what better time to say that than at xmas Let me take the chance to say thanx to my friend Lt HuNTeR for all his hard work, he's a champ modeller, to zalmoxis and daddylonglegs, good texture and map makers apiece. Glad u like the faces Biv, there are loads, and the famous military leaders we do will have custom faces too etc... Dynamite_Cow, the 'is that ofp' remark is a great compliment regarding the quality of the weapon making Lt HuNTeR and Zalmoxis have done. Also let me congratulate bourbon addon maker hehe Williams who is now producing a variety of weapon models within the sphere of handguns. Meanwhile i shall be making optics for our weapons, and getting their coding thunder - tight lol After that, we have some new stunning infantry animations for our new 'injury' system that i think will hopefully impress u lads.

Argh i know i know, will the bloody muskets ever end... This is the 3rd last of the 'ordinary' muskets, Meaning we have the exciting original 3, 1) Springfield 1861 2) Enfield 3) Lorenz 4) Fayette 5) Springfield 1855 6) Richmond Meaning we still have some crappy 2 europ cheap imports to give to the rebs, Now basically when u fight the rebs they'll be dispersed with quite a number of weapons i imagine, and we have decided to give them variety of arms, as opposed to uniformity of arms for the union. So these 8 muskets, about 2 will be for normal union dudes, and 6 will be mixed with reb dudes, so there ua have it intriguing, this isnt including all the stuff (in the last cwmod when we were part of them...) which has been retextured, models fixed or replaced. So we're talking some what? 20 weapons?

Okay, now just expanding the musket clone army lol, right so, ive got 4 slots for muskets, and originally they were all earlier versions of the springfield (there all coded up, bayonets et all) so im replacing some of them, (oh ive also got a crap belgian thing ill probably be keeping) Anyway, truth is, many of these muskets do and will look a little similar, so i dont expect u to pee ur pants with every pic i post, but ah well lol. This is the Richmond Rifle-Musket, there WAS enormous variety in this weapon concept, ive chosen the one with brass back and guard. And yep, it looks quite like a springfield lol (in actual fact its quite a wee bitty longer, just a wee bit) apart from that, screws are different, different, places, (its all the little details you will notice more ingame or close up than in these stand back pics.) This one has CSA scarred onto the butt and has a little bit of rust. (just a little.) Let me reiterate, there are some 8 standard muskets, basically 1 or 2 for the union normal joes (so far) and a considerable variety for the rebs.
