Aah, the quality of this addon is just mindblowing. Especially the intro sequence for the single player mission was the best I have ever seen. But I couldn't get the shilka destruction objective completed, I called in two missiles and personally walked up to see that all the four shilkas were dead and crumpled, but I can't be sure that a driver didn't get away. An UA problem, do you know yet what addon is causing the CoC_Hum error? It makes the tomahawks explode early with an added script error report.

I agree. It is pretty much impossible to play new mods and addons (single addons are 90% useless for MP use because you can't get over 4 people in one game to download an addon for one mission , but addon release policy is another topic...) publicly unless you're very lucky to be at that one server at the start. Even in private it can be hell to get everyone to download a new mod, but that can't be helped.

Actually I have a FDF + Tonal mission made, still beta but very playable. The mission is peacekeeping, altough that's just an excuse for putting the FDF on Tonal, the mission itself involves gunning down everything that moves...and does lag like hell, no way around that I'm afraid...

There are too few missions for Tonal to justify such a big download for everyone, IMHO. Great pack/island, though. MAP is a good pack, it includes 2 sides and many, many weapons, unlike, say, rangers + blackhawks that are 2 addons and only add units to one side. I don't know where to get good missions for either one, sadly, when I asked about it in the MAP thread Suchey adviced me to get to the MTCO addon server and download some maps, but I've never gotten around to it...

Yeah, that was fun. I liked being squad leader, I thought I made some good calls even if no-one is interested in following them sometimes. I may (relatively) babble, but it's better than sitting on my hands. PICAGE: Squad on their way to the LZ Go go go! The mortars are destroyed... Getting briefed... Eeh... A Russian infantry squad encounters a volley of fire and satchels going off under their feet, they didn't have a chance. Hellfish is sitting reeal comfy...

What a hero, knowing GTA he'll slaughter a few hundred (innocent) people along his way to prove his innocence, take his revenge or whatever.

I think that was just a limitation of the PS2 platform, future versions should have more traffic and pedestrians. It takes less power to have many of the same models visible at once.

OFP 2 is the next OFP, not an upgraded one. That's the BIS line, and it makes perfect sense. Starting to upgrade OFP will only end in tears, it will produce MORE bugs, users will complain when the system requirements are higher, and then you'll hear lots of complaining when "well BIS improved this, why didn't they do this then it wouldn't take much work at all I guess they're lazy wah wah". It would also increase the workload for OFP 2, the bar would be raised. Don't many addons take textures and models from BIS files? Then they would probably be broken or messed up. We have, what, 1000 active players now, if even that much? You think the tens of thousands of BF players will suddenly flock to OFP because the poly count of vehicles has been improved a bit? I don't want players to OFP that are swayed by pretty graphics. Why would BIS want to make it competitive btw? It isn't sold (or at least bought) in any large extent any more, and as I said above it would be impossible without changing the game a LOT and breaking everything old.

Yes it was without buttstock in the movie, and not only does its appearance speak for being a 47, but I think 5.45 mm would be pretty scarce in Somalia.
