    even IF there is support for 2 gunners on the helicopter doesnt mean it will be support for 2 gunners on tanks, cars and so on.

    Model great Textures..i think will be great, cant judge really until ingame. But it seems you hate making the ofp parts, like config, making the wheels turn and so on. Just wanted to say i offer my help on that. Config, selections in o2.. about the lamp, you can have it but what i know you cant make it rotate.. without alot of stupid scripting.

    wow.. if i knew this was working on maybe i wouldnt start my own project. My island, Koh Pulau seems we have almost same idea, but i want to make mine for armed assault. Maybe should concentrate on the addons and mission and use your island, havnt started on mine yet anyway..

    does that work, or is it an idea you got? I like the idea, would be easy for big packs like the swedish forcespack or FDF and so on to put "alternativ" configs into use. Like less fuel for vehicles, for making the fuel trucks more used or like you say for dispersion..

    great!... two weeks left then i am home. Is it OK to include this in a addon pack with soldiers? and i checked your readme but not sure about this, but what you think about making lets say a mortar, 60 mm or 81 mm.. then my idea would be to replace the inv target with a visual yellow thing for player gunners, then you get in Mortar as gunner, press "Select target", a yellow ring shows where to aim the mortar (not visuall if you not gunner in the mortar) you take the scope, aim on the yellow thing fire and hit the enemy base or whatever you fire on.

    one thing tho, ofp never had a "support for 5, 6, 7" players and so on, infact as far as i know you could have "unlimited" with players.. you think armed ass be locked on 60 people? Like Steal Beasts 2, the PRO version allows for unlimited players but the PE version has it locked on 8.. even if its same game, just diffrent price.

    Ricochet  in ARMA

    people that talk about how stuff is in Operation Flashpoint, Resitance. It works like this. In config for all ammo you put two values, one that is "point damage" and one that is "area damage", this is mostly because like mortar, grenades should be able to kill a area since ofp doesnt make "fragments" from a mortar. You write the distance and the damage, like for a grenade you make a area of 5 meter that kills people, (small area, but killing) . With a mortar you make maybe 20 meter that wounds people (big area and small damage). Now, why its made like this i dont know, but bullets from rifle have small area damage and not only "point damage". OFP:E sounds to have alot better, but to watch whats going on, and to know is pretty big diffrence. Like some people that say there is ricochets in ofp is wrong, but they do have a "solution" to make it same.

    How are Mods preparing for ArmA?

    SFP is preparing for Armed assualt, and we will probaly go from SFP 4.x to SFP 5.x sometime after Armed assualt is released. The soldier models will be remade in order to have Armed assault quality but other then that i think our weapons, vehicles have enough quality (except some that can be made better even for OFP) so we waiting to see if the new engine can make something possible that havent been possible. Maybe we can code the antitank missile systems better, or finaly fix the 4 rounds burst mode on Strf90 so it works in MP. Ai tweaks. So its not so much about using all new fancy functions for bumpmapping, we will probaly look into it when the game is released, its more discussing what we want to have in Armed assault, or OFP. what would be the next step. but we dont know when armed assault will come, so we contine work with our updates for OFP.
  12. I was thinking, in the flashnews that is posted once a week? If placebo, or someone could select one question that was asked by hardcore gamers, missiondesigners or addon editors and write a short reply to it. Since its pretty boring reading stuff that is meant for people that never played ofp,like many stuff seen in the articles sofar. Like "will Armed Assault allow rivers?" Yeah, but not tunnels.. now, that could mean just something like many islands done already. What a island editor would ask would be something like: "Will it be possible to place water on diffrent heights?" Now that answer would make us know for sure if there is anything new with the water, if its possible for lakes in the highland or only as before. My question would be: "Will it possible to fire your weapon from a cargo postion/proxy?" So what would you say, if fans write alot of questions then select one per week to answer, cant be that hard?
  13. ahh, you guys suck.. its the ringing in the ear when you fire some heavy shit.. like a Granatgevar (Carl gustav), if you close, like 3-5 meters away you will hear a ringing tone, but not if you longer away.. it requries you got the music volume up i think, but this effect is unsupported.. because i dont want any whining about it, but boy its sexy.

    Enemy In Sight - the next OFP "clone" ?

    i really looking forward to it. What i hope is armed assault to be the large large, true large ones.. like cti, stuff like that. And EiS like a modern hidden and dangerous.. excellent for medium area, like a modern delta force-delta force 2.. (the rest of those sucked).. I am not rich, and problem will be upgrade my computer but i have no problem in buying two great games, just wish we could hear alittle bit more about EiS..

  20. Uploading fixed version as I speak.. I thank you for this, truth is that my "sfp" folder has alot of projects not officiall, and when creating the patch i missed it. Sorry for that.. Pretty much work with 3 diffrent files, and people that have diffrent versions, murphys law is greater then my skills sometimes. thanks everyone for the positive feedback, it really helps to see "thank you", and now some thoughts.. I am leaving the "team", for a small trip (be back in may), but SFP been thru this before and for some reason it seems the stuff gets better when I am not around... (on the other hand I make sure stuff is released.. =) ) but when it comes to the Strv103, there is a way to do a real cool one for humans only but there hasnt been enough motivation to do a tank that is "human" only in the team. What I see in the future for SFP is mostly the RG32M (kinda like a hmmwv, but looks like a overseized jeep), i would GUESS this is the next addon from SFP.. because many in the team would like to see it ingame. SFP is still working without a goal, we are doing what we enjoy even if it most of the time seems like addon editing is a curse. Drains energy and time from you without you getting anything from it. When I come back I hope armed assault is released and that SFP has been converting some stuff and is improving.. but most of all I hope we soon will get relief.. We getting old, and tired, many addon groups have already more or less "closed" their work.. anyway thanks for your support and I now wish all the best to rest of the core, Shar, ktotte, ugga.. and all other SFPcrews, helpers and fans.. thanks. Also want to send a extra "thank you" to Hotshot for his COOP missions, if you havnt checked them out do so, addons are great.. missions are nice. The combination is what makes ofp alive.

    EDIT: Download (50 kb) Version Alpha 0.1. Your input is wanted. Up to 24 players, the more the better. There been, alot of talking, but afaik nothing made really. So..i made something. Features: 3 controlzone, you can respawn there if your side have captured them. Tickets, like in bf2. Classsystem, wanna be a sniper or machinegunner. Easy to change, betweeen "deaths". Using wwii stuff, FDF mod 1.4 I think i will have a beta out around 24 december. Mostly trying to tweak gameplay now. Thinking about if include vehicles, stuff like that.
