A.C.E. 2 - v1.2 stable (Advanced Combat Environment)

Will BI allow you to bring vehicle/character models from arma2 to OA as part of a mod? Or is there some legal issue with that? -

Don't forget how much content is pulled straight from Arma2 that's no longer present in OA. -

Going forward will there be 2 parallel versions of ACE? One for Arma2 and one for OA? Or will it somehow be combined (ala combined ops)? -
The Undead Mod

A.C.E. Advanced Combat Environment - Public Beta *2*!
Fenix16 replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I can't seem to find any info about the proper procedure for Agm 114 laser guidance. In the original ace, I remember that if a target was being lazed by ground forces, the missile could be set to the desired firing mode and launched. Provided you were aiming in the general direction of the target, the missile would hit the target. I can't seem to get this to work with the new system. 3 friends and I tried with most of the helicopter variants with the same results, the laser projected from the ground is completely ignored. Is there something else i'm missing? -

I can't seem to get the fast roping or the pseudo IR (using the T key) to work. For the fast roping, who needs to have the ropes? The pilot? The crew chief? -

You can disable the sm sounds by removing it from your shortcut. Also, PLEASE buy more ram for your sigs rig. It pains me to see such a nice system being handicapped like that. -
Seems to be the bane of my existence. i7 920 @ 3.8 ghz, gtx 295, 6 gigs of ram, vista 64. From my rpt: "Memory store: Failed mapping, already mapped 2532 KB, error 8 Virtual free 27140096 B, page free -1 B, physical free -1501859840 B" Repeats in my rpt incrementally until the amount "already mapped" hits 4240. I get a CTD yet the process arma2.exe remains active and continues to use the same amount of system resources. Anybody else experiencing this?

I don't see how the game engine attempting to write to non existent memory is a "TS issue".

My RPT File-always with the same errors
Fenix16 replied to mc sonar's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Same errors here. I think you left out "Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 7146C53E" at the top. The latter value will be different as its an address. Can't wait for this stuff to get fixed. -
I've gone through the process of reinstalling dx 9 twice now with no changes. It still tries to access memory that doesn't exist resulting in the crash.
-
Having the same exact issue. Seems to occur more often in multiplayer for some reason.
-
I think only BI can help us now.
Fenix16 replied to wazandy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
True, but it is difficult to build a reliable fast car when each user is providing their own engine. -
How much should I alloctae to page file?
Fenix16 replied to Barso's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Benni is correct with the recommended amount. Honestly though, with 6 gigs of ram you probably won't notice any difference between a page file thats 6 gigs and one thats 9 gigs.
