Where did you hit them, and with which weapon? I've never tried the new release of FFUR, but the weapon values in previous versions of FFUR and WGL have always seemed great to me.

Ah, well I should have mentioned it's a fairly compact camera, I'd like to be able to just have it with me in a pocket or bag, without worrying about scratching the LCD.

I've recently purchased a new digital camera, not anything too special, but I want to make sure to protect the LCD screen on it. Do any of you use a specific brand of screen protectors? There sure are a lot to choose from, and I'm not sure which ones are the best

The American Civil War Mod has a few revolvers, as does the House Divided Mod. I'd definately recommend trying those packs out.

I just saw that there's video of the flag raising from Wikipedia captured by a camera man standing right next to the photographer who snapped the famous photo. Very interesting, I never knew it existed. Oh sure, definately. However, one thing it does illustrate is that bayonet is still not completely useless.

I hate to say it, but after playing the demo, I'm disappointed as many of you are too. I suppose my computer isn't top of the line, but I thought I would at least be able to run ArmA at a decent level. For my computer at: 3.0 Ghz P4 1 GB RAM 256MB Geforce 6200 I ended having to decide whether I wanted to play at an unplayable frame rate at normal level or wanted to have a smooth frame rate at low, where it is impossible to see any enemies due to the extremely low LODs. The computer I own isn't top of the line at all, but I definately thought I would be able to run ArmA decently. I don't like to complain, but I am disappointed with ArmA at the moment It's all still fine though, I've still got OFP

Attaching your bayonet to your IBA makes you look cool, and you can take plenty of pogue ass "Cool Guy," pictures with them, but it would be a sad day in hell when you jump from the humvee and someone shouts, "FIX BAYONETS!" I'd rather beat someone to death with my E-Tool anyways, you can hit them just right on the neck and either decapitate, or almost decapitate. You can apply a decent amount of pressure under the chin and "POP!" head comes off. One time we saw this guy from Psyops who strapped a dagger to his boot, but we all made fun of him. The Army also has a TM on how to arrange your Barracks funiture. So what? *edit* I think the only reason we were issued Bayonets is because the armorer had them and needed to clear out the Arms room anyways and he didn't want to take a crate of them with him while he sat on his ass and got fat at Camp Victory. I think you're looking for this thread. I agree, the air war is a very interesting topic. However, at heart, OFP and ArmA are not very good flight simulators. You'd have a much better experience in a true flight simulator (Falcon 4.0 for example).

I remember checking out the Operation Flashpoint forums over at IGN once, even there, Placebo was answering questions and helping out members. Thank you Placebo, the work you put in here was beyond anything required of you. Good luck in whatever else you pursue

I want to say in the older OFP that Editor Update 1.02 had some objects like footprints under a category called "Camera". Maybe try out one of the ArmA Editor Updates: Germany '85 6th Sense I have no access to Arma, being an American, so I really can't say anything about those two.

Is there any projected release date at the moment? I saw on the forums people were saying maybe around 6 months? The game looks amazing

This holiday season I'm looking into getting a start in photography. I'm not really looking for a dSLR, but more of a step up from the point and shoot cameras. I noticed this Powershot S3 IS respectively placed in between the dSLRs and the less expensive cameras. I'm just wondering if it would be a good camera to get some good shots of sports in my town and take on a trip to Germany? I wonder if any of you guys could give me your opinion on a camera like that and maybe some other suggestions, because I trust your opinions a lot more than the 18 year old's trying to sell me any camera at the store

If I'm thinking of the same thing you're thinking of, you just put "-nomap" at the end of the shortcut you use for OFP, without the quotation marks.

Seems kind of odd to say professional killers, SWAT would much rather save a life than take one, and only use force in situations where another life is at risk. To say "professional killers" seems to imply that they have a mindset of going into to a situation and coming out by killing all those opposing them, which is hardly the case... I just don't think it's right to portray SWAT as a bunch of ruthless killers, I'd personally say SWAT officers are "professional life-savers".

I've got a weird situation where Marnid and Borcha, who are in my group, just all of sudden disappear. They don't die in battle, but we'll be traveling in the map, and they just leave my party. Very frustrating, because then you can't get them back, and I paid 50 denars for Borcha
