    The two towers protest

I came across this  site somewhere on a movie site and just thought this was too strange for words. If this isn't over-sensitivity I don't know what is.Criticising the title of a movie based on a book that was written somewhere around 1954. On a sidenote,I *think* I heard something about materials from the WTC used for a (war)ship called the USS New York. This is something I'd protest against since that's something  inappropriate imho, using the wreckage of a place where a lot of people died as a cheap publicity stunt for the war on terrorism...  (Edit : link : USS New York )

    Green berets

Bibmi's green berets are reskins I believe It's much harder to make new soldier models then to make new vehicles and you also have the problem that you can't change the face texture on the model easily. (I'm not completely sure about all this though)

    Anyone hear the news?

Note the quotation marks indicating sarcasm around perfect. I believe he meant to just stress something else.

Actually,he called you black :] Anyway,if you just look through .cz you'll find enough.

    Anyone hear the news?

Bah,If that other doctor would have said it,(an italian one I believe,I'm not sure)I'd be slightly more compelled to believe it then now that it's coming from some goofball cult who say we were put here by aliens. Anyway, man has been tampering with life from the beginning. Deliberately having dogs crossbreed to form a new species with wanted characteristics is just the same. Pitbulls were breeded specially for fighting with a tied up bull, dobbermans and german shepherds for other reasons, other dogs were bred to be little so they could be used as lapdogs. Plants are the same, having fun with trying to grow black roses,or green ones.Combining kinds of tomatoes so that the finished product has more taste,is bigger and withstands colder temparatures all in one package. Now it's just being carried out in the area of genes, and i haven't seen anything horrible so far.

It's great that you're gonna go to that much trouble for photorealistic textures. Keep up the good work

    Scale modeling and ofp:r

Nice models,I agree on the painting being frustrating, but you did a good job. You should take a pic of them together as a comparison. I still have a 1/35 Fuchs (ABC detection version) here, you make me want to start on that

Weird camo, where is it used anyway? *would prefer more work on the normal navy camo then two schemes*

The mighty us navy - a vulnerable dinosaur?

Hm,doubtable any officials will just blatantly ignore evidence nowadays :] Even the antiship missiles can be downed, exocets were shot down by the english in the falklands too.

Yeah me too,but gekko's live in forests, they live virtually everywhere. We could start an ofp region with all these members :]

    The Iraq Thread

Sigh... I say only the us has 'proof' and then you post a link where it says that israel has something pointing towards proof;but doesn't have it yet. Thank you for backing me up on that then. (and no,I just browsed the article, guilty as charged, didn't read properly) Still then, why not inform the UN with this so-called proof?
  14. Frisbee

    The Iraq Thread

Let's see,if now not only the us but israel too have proof, which,as they said : Â 'He said that the information has not been fully verified. "We have some information to that effect. We are now working to confirm the information," he told Israel TV's Channel 2 in an excerpt of a program broadcast on the nightly news. Hey look,a country which has a grudge against iraq and a country that wants the war in the first place have proof now! IF there WAS substantial proof, why the hell aren't they showing it to the UN and get an entire coalitian ready to stomp Iraq? It's not like the UN security council or so would give out secrets about the source.

    The Iraq Thread

Your senate says there's WMD's there and you would go there, fight and possibly die,if you'd be in service already of course. Without seeing the proof yourself. I'd call that doing your job, fine, but it's our duty as the public to demand proof why we should send our family to battle that might as well be needless. IF the entire united nations agreed there was SUBSTANTIAL proof that there are either WMD's in iraq or links with terrorist organisations, fine. But now,ONLY the us,which is the only country that WANTS a war has proof and 'cannot disclose it,because well, they just can't' doesn't that seem strikingly odd to you?

But you're still saying that there's evidence, that your governement has seen it,and you believe that so there's enough reason for a war. Now put yourself in the position of someone who'd have a relative going to the war,or actually going to the war yourself,I think you'd like to see evidence yourself. Proof isn't proof if it can't be disclosed to the public, note my example in one of my posts a while back. If you'd follow your governement blindly in everything because they are 'chosen representatives' they could do whatever the hell they please.(note:Your president doesn't even represent the majority of the americans if you look at the number of votes,or so i believe, that would make on think about the representativity,no?) But then again, only in america, other countries'd scream bloody murder if their governements'd do something like this without informing the public why.

LOL Okay, you say there's proof when the only ones who've seen it are a small group. Now,supposing it exists, you can now prove to me that it exists. If you don't let the media, and the average joe know,it isn't proof, period. Nagasaki and Hiroshima were civilian targets, they were cities, not military targets. The US (back then) intentionally attacked civilians (yes, unbelievable isn't it ?! ), well not only attack, attacked and killed civilians. The war could've ended without the need for a mainland invasion,or at least after DESTROYING ONE WHOLE CITY. Jeez.... [Edit: Smiley because of bad punctuation removed]

    What shld i get?

Exactly,it's just to give the average consumer an idea how to compare them. People who actually know their stuff would look at sisoft sandra benchmarks and others, but since most people go for 'the biggest number' they have to do this :] The new Amd will be called Athlon64 i think, and the Athlon XP will replace the Duron as the budget core, the Opteron as a competitor for Intel's Xeon on server applications.

First prove saddam either has links with terrorist organisations and/or has nukes and then use that as a reason to attack him. As you say your governement has proof and doesn't need to disclose it to take action,so in other words it can do whatever the hell it pleases. 'America abolishes courts and lets police sentence at will, the president and the senate have the results of a scientific study that proves that this would be better for everyone!Unfortunately this report cannot be disclosed to the public for reasons of national security.' The way you're talking you sound like you'd approve of this,if I was an american I'd  better damn well have a GOOD reason for sending my father/son/brother/husband/uncle/wife/sister......to a war and have a high likelihood not to return. You don't seem to think about that : 'they have their reasons,it's okay'

    Trains and train tracks anyone?

Should've said that too :] Just doesn't appear to me like people'd have to go to work in the city by train or anything, they're all just small towns. (1.46 here, sorry :]) So if someone'd make say,an island wih some bigger cities, and just bigger overall it'd be natural to have more people, who could the benifit from a railroad network.
  22. Frisbee

    Can someone make?

Tents'd take some time to set up,better done with a cutscene if you want a mission where you build a base. That, and how would you simulate the way you have to bash the pegs in winter nogojev's frozen ground? I think invasion1944 lets you build machinegun nests with the shovel however.

    Trains and train tracks anyone?

GeneralMortars beat me to it But if bigger islands actually appeared it would be nice though.

Technically, couldn't you say 'go to war to prevent further civilian deaths' on the way there'd be casualties. Because...isn't it always 'casualty of war' in full,or would a civilian killed between a gang and a swat team be a casualty too or an unfortunate civilian victim? Sorry if I'm making people laugh here, but I was just wondering (english isn't my first language btw)

    Df2 like opf?

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (IceFire @ Dec. 23 2002,10:24)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">DF2 is SOOO much more realistic than OPF. Â I've been playing the campaigns and I am on the "power" something mission where I have to kidnappe the african terrorist officer by hijacking his boat before he leaves in a chopper. Â This is a tough mission. Â I cannot figure out how to beat it. Â I am amazed at how you hear the enemies start to scream when you attack their base, (Onga onga!! very realistic like. Â It seems to me that the game uses real african and arabic speakers for the enemies. Â I don't really remember that with OPF. I remember this awsesome mission that just fell into place very realistically without any scripts. I had to attack the african terrorist weapons making depot. Â I parachuted in (you can control your direction parachuting in with navigable parachutes in DF2) and managed to land right into the back of a boxtruck headed for the enemy base! Â That was not part of the plan, just something I thought to do. Â when the truck got into the fence of the base. Â The gaurds stop the trucks to check the contents. Â As soon as the gaurd came around to the back of the truck I was in, I blasted him. Â Then I switched to burst fire on my M4, and quickly jumped out blasting trying to quickly put down any advancing enemies. From there I went on and completed the mission. Â It's unscripted, unpredictable stuff like that that make the game awesome. Â The game is very realistic like that. Â And there are tons more. Also, this game has realistic loadout capasities. Â Number of magazines, M203 grenades. Anyways, even though DF2 is more realistic, I still think OPF is the best because the graphics are soo much better, and OPF has weapon views.<span id='postcolor'> It's 'realistic' the guys in the truck don't hear the distinct *thud* when you land in their truck and take that as a hint to give you some extra airholes.
