Heh, BIS isn't very tactically clothed though.. Couldn't we hold a BIS game next spring or summer in the Czech republic or so?
-
ffs, leave them alone.. let them take their time and stop nagging, just wait for information like the rest.. If BIS has an announcement I'm sure they will release it, they won't be rushed by all these idiotic and useless threads
-
You can't convert a real (Deac) Ak-74M.. The Marui receiver is slightly longer or else all parts won't fit in, if you want a full metal Ak-74, either save up for a Guarder kit, or wait for ICS and G&G to release theirs, the last 2 won't be sidefolding though... Whatever you do, stay away from the CA SLR-105, it's rubbish in terms of realism, not as bad as the Marui Beta Spets but still bad (very unrealistic, especially compared to the real SLR-105)

Me at the last skirmish (same one as Necromancer-) in full Soviet 1980s Afghanistan loadout, with gun (Aks-74 & GP-25) I borrowed (1P29 scope is mine though)..
-
I'm a member of that site actually I know the guy who wrote it as well, and I'm now thinking of just selling the 47 and getting a G&G Ak (hopefully they will do a long Ak as well).. Oh the forum on Red Alliance is very good as well..
-
Seeing as this thread was kicked up, here is my latest purchase... Soviet built 1P29 rifle scope. Meant for Ak-74, RPK-74 and PKM's. And yes, Earl has them on his Ak's as well.. Picture of the scope + extras

I'm not sure how to explain it , but if I remember correctly, F5 just regenerates all lighting thingies.. IIRC all models start out as smooth and using sharp you can make a cube look like a cube etc... I'm sure you will be convinced when you try it
-
Hi there, Your ships look good and I'm following this thread with interest but I noticed that the lighting on your surface ships looks odd. I'd try using the sharpen and smoothen commands (u and i), these will make your ships look 3x as good. Another link: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=35568

Hmm an airsoft skirmish with the BIS team + BIS forum regulars.. that could be fun as well
-
Hmm, where is the gas tube on that hideous gun? And.. didn't the Aks-74U needed a special muzzlehider to make the gas expand more so the gas could push the whole system back? If so, wouldn't that mean this gun wouldn't work properly?

http://www.russiancombatgear.com http://www.rusmilitary.com (expensive) http://www.frontofrussia.com (very nice source for Soviet era gear) http://www.redsoldier.com http://www.ebay.com and local places selling surplus gear. I have mostly used ebay and local places, but I have also had 2 orders with Front of Russia, haven't used the other ones yet but I know they are good

I'd get a full normal AEG, they will last you a long time and you can throw down BB's at a decent range, even when left stock
-
I have not yet installed this mod (My computer sucks to be honest, I can only start up desert island reliably) , but I just noticed this post... Do you have an AS VAL in 1985? That would be quite a feat, considering the development of the VSS Vintorez started in 1987, and the AS VAL is based on the VSS... In 1985, they would use AKM/AKMS rifles fitted with PBS-1's..

It looks good Although if you are trying to make it look like Have Blue, you should look on this picture, the tail fins are / \ unlike the \/ like the F117 has. And it has other differences
-
Picture #1 Myself in KLMK, with a Russian Afghan era chest rig and some bushes. (The gun is a TM G36C, a donor gun for a VSS Vintorez conversion. The KLMK worked pretty nice, the bushes also helped a lot. (On that mission we were ordered to avoid contact and reach a certain point, while the other 2 teams were fighting each other)m Picture #2 Again, Me wearing Russian M88 pattern trousers, Y-strap harness with mag pouch, VSR jacket , boonie in Kamysh and Ak-47S with double mags taped together (teammates gun). Picture #3 Our team sniper, with an Ak-47S converted using a Guarder kit, not the most realistic option but atleast it's semi auto. It was a good weekend, I had loads of fun. And that's what its all about.. having a good time

It's the G&P SVD, don't get it though, even though it's made from a real SVD, it's has horrible internals There are more differences between the Ak-47 and Aks-74, like you said there is the skeleton stock and muzzlehider. But you also have a completly different receiver, different magazines, different handguards etc Here is a picture of a custom Aks-74 a teammate of mine did (He still misses some details on the receiver):

Don't have any decent pictures of me in my camo, but here are some shots anyway: Some guy with our teams RPG-18 One of my teammembers with a SVD Dragunov (Click to enlarge)

I absolutely adore this plane, it has come a long way since the version I can remember The texturing is sweet, inside is very good (ok cockpit a bit less), overal, I love it! For the carrying cargo bit, you could do hiddenselection boxes in the plane, so it looks like it's carrying SOMETHING, if you want I can explain further with some examples of how it should roughly look. You have again proved yourself to be one of the best and fastest aircraft builders in the community

Make it a weapon, then use the fired eventhandler to give it a higher speed, if you want a one time use weapon just set the burst function to the maximum ammo count This is a nice way to do a secondary propulsion with its own fuel load, I did the same on my ramjet/rocket powered Lippisch P.13 (WW2EC, unreleased). //EDIT: I could do it for you Jag
-
I use OË› for modeling combined with Paintshop pro 7 for texturing.. and the usual pbo programs... I also use Deep exploration for renders of stuff I made with O2, I just used the send as option (asc format). I also use Deep Exploration to convert any format to 3ds so I can import it in O2. I do hope BIS will release some sort of OÅ‚ for OFP2

Yeah, sorry, that's what I mean

Trenchfeet installed a dust script on my Hurricane addon for WWIIEC, it always produces dust, so even on tarmac etc. It looks quite nice. I will see if I can get him to come to this topic to explain since I'm no good at scripts etc. //EDIT: Typo
-
Also nice sources for REFERENCE (Not stealing!) are Flight Simulator addons and for WW2 planes the IL-2:Forgotten Battles/Pacific Fighters series... For real pictures another nice place is http://www.airliners.net/

First exit polls show 62% of the population of The Netherlands voted, and 63% said no and 37% said yes...
