Yeah I saw several of those, the most "funny" one is related to the aircraft gear up and down. The person or software translator that did the translation made a literal translation of the spanish word "marcha", that is related to the Car different Gears and has absolutely nothing to do with lowering an aircarft landing gear. I have seen anothers like this but this one made laugh a lot after wondering for 10 minutes why I was not given the option to lower the landing gear of the 130. I thought it was related to my speed so I reduced to near stall speed but not to avail. Then I thought, what is this a bout "marcha" on a 130???? And voila LMAO the landing gear came down I think would have not been so dificult just to contact some Spanish known players to ask them for a review of such menus. I do not know how big is your Spanish market but I surely belive it deserves as much respect as any other, by means of a proper translation. Just an additional note. I have set my game in English so I can understand what I do.

Gentlemen, I am just about quiting but before doing it I would try to get some advice here from your expertise. Computer graphics and video card tweaking is surely not on my "curriculum" :mad: I have the following config file I have a Dual core Intel 2,2 mhz, 3 Giga Ram and an Nvidia 8600M GS. Not the latest or hotest machine lol but usually runs most sims and games nicely. I do not pretend to have 60 fps but now I can barely get more than 8 in best case. I use Nhancer and I tried using the Crysis profile or Arma 1 profiles but I cannot see much difference. One strange thing I noticed is that I got the same FPS no matter I place all sliders to max or to min, and this puzzles me. I have great hopes for this game and I plan to upgrade my PC shortly but on the meantime I would like to be able to at least get used to Arma 2 on this one. Any tip, suggestion, comment.... would be most welcome. I have no clue what to do next other than unistalling the game and wait for better times. :(

I would also appreciate if somebody can tell me the recomended settings for a Nvidia 7800 GS Overclocked for Arma. I am not much skilled with configuring it. So I would like to know the recommended settings for the profile and if possible for the game itself. Thanks

HAWK, the add on maker is currently working on our long time desired C-130 Hercules. I am an Airline Pilot (helicopter) on Real life and I am helping him on the aeronautical side. We aim to have the most complete and realistic (as much as OFP allows) plane. The plane have excellent textures, with a VERY detailled cockpit. It has real C-130 sounds. It has animated doors. (3 lateral doors plus cargo ramp) You can walk inside the plane (while it is not moving) The plane hace the capability of carrying cargo and parachute release while flying. It also have, a group bail out command so you parachute the whole group (not exactly like ejecting  ) It also carries a script to order AI pilots to perform such tasking using action menu. And as new feature, Hawk has implemented a mid air refueling capability. The plane can extend a fuel hose and perform a mir air refueling to other planes an helis. This is something I am sure some of you will enjoy a lot. Do not worry about the action menu on the pic on Polish, will be translated to english on final version. Other cool stuff is that if the plane gets damaged, a fire is started on one engine and leaves a trail of smoke  It will probably have a Stall warning plus other new and cool features such flare  defense system to counter IR AA missiles. The actual cammo scheme used is not the most up to date but more widely used for most countries back on 80´s. HAWK is really doing a nice job, aimin for realism on this plane. I am helping on tech aeronautical stuff (Besides ATP pilot I have like 160 jumps from C-130  ) The work is well advanced so I do  expect HAWK have the add on ready soon. More info soon Â

This should not be a trouble since on the same add on used to replace BIS A-10, the excellent A-10 by Diesel, you have a grey version of the same model. Anyway I do not think this is a major factor on the gameplay here, you can see as good a green one than a grey one on OFP. You can always dowload the excellent A-10 by Diesel that incorporates several version grey and green and with different weapons configurations. It works flawessly in FFUR

Autorrotation exists in all helos in OFP, and nicely modelled I have to say. It was a surprise to find this on such a sim, while even the Flight Simulator 2004 fails on this.

The CoC Divers are mentioned on the Read me what what id this "Tac Events Add on" I do not have it and I cannot make use of this units without it. Regarding the Controllable Parachute, I highly recomend this onGandalf 21VB My squad have been using it since 2003 and it works just perfect and does the job very realistically.

Really??? Feel free to demonstrate your Pilot skills testing THIS SP Pilot training map You need FFUR of course and the Diesel-A-10 (full add on) the SA-11 and AEC island. In our squad we do have a dedicated Air unit with people just flying OFP stuff and we will not say this is easy With the New Tunguska and Linebaker in FFUR it will be even more "interesting" Have fun

I am very excited about the implementation of the Tunguska and the Linebaker. Surely they are much more effective units than the Vulcan and Shilka (Specially the FFUR shilka that has not even Radar) I prefer to have this new models, however it is true that this will make some old maps unplayable due their high effectivity. @ zaphar. Hehe not much people fly lower than Shashman. Swaf pilots do train to fly real low and Shashman likes to scare us all I was thinking in calling him the flying underground  . Anyway I have been engaged by the Tunguska flying the A-10 at 25 mts from 2000 mts away. Once they got a lock on you, you have a trouble. But said this I welcome much the addition of this vehicles because the realism they add and the challenges they pose for dedicated OFP Pilots like Shash or myself.

Both Add ons have excellent graphics, but as the read me says this is a BETA version. The SU-30 does not have HUD or any flight instrument so basically you cannot fly by night. The Leopard looks goegeous from the outside, however have several bugs related to the guner and Commander sight. For instance if you select the comander sight, then when you return to "inside" view, you miss the turret top. Other one is that on the commander sight if you make a 360 scan, you end up looking at your own tank from outside.

Well, I have to disagree with part of this. 7,62 is a more flat, stable trajectory than 5,62. The reason is innertia and quinetic energy. This is why most Sniper Rifles of the world use 7,62 mm despite their Army actual standardammo is 5,62. I have fired both calibers when I was on the Air Force and over 500-600 mts the 5,62 NATO looses precission and curves, while the 7,62 was more stable and required less azimut compensation up to 800-900 mts. The 5,62 weights less, allows soldiers to carry more ammo, and produced more wounds than kills, it has other advantages but flat trajectory is surely not its strong point. Also it is affected more for the wind. Look for a wind compensation table for both Calibers and see.

Hello Tarik. I do not see on the list of bug fixed the well known withe screen you get while using any helicopter mast mounted sight, specially the Kiowa Sight. Since I know you are fully aware of it since long ago I guess you also have fixed this, but I miss it on your bug list fixes. What is the status of this?

I am already considering a project for my squad about creating a permanent Persistent Universe for us. Since Armed Assault is supposed to allow players to join anytime, my idea is to create a specific island for our squad (We do have extremely skilled island creator among us ) and have there our 24 hours a day running world. We will have our squad soildiers on different bases representing the actual structure of our Battalion. So far we do have 3 dedicated servers for our Squad and the idea is having one running permanently the same map that would be a Island World created by ourselves. This will give us a place to have a real virtual life as squad. We do place great enphasis on training and other activities so our gould would be that anybody can join anytime do its training (usually a platoon training) and leave when need. Maybe on the other side of the island there will be another platoon also training. If this works as advertised, that would be also an excellent way to have meetings and many other activities on a real virtual way. I would like to know if the actula join in game feature will aloow this and if provided we do have a dedicated server running permanently the same map it will allow always people joining at any time on a permanent way. We have already many ideas about this permament Universe but we do need to know a bit more about the "MP possibilities of Armed Assault" Any of you know more about this issue?

This helo is nice although it is an outdated version that brings nothing an AH-64 cannot do. However a real gunship plane is another issue. If given a really good aiming device with a really powerful zoom that can be used by the pilot or a gunner (on the Mi-26 pilot and gunner) can use at same time the "V" view. of course it needs NVG Give the bird with proper weapons and it would be a really useful thing. If anyone tries the C-130 please make sure you review its tuning capabilities because this plane turning radious and most important rate of turn needs to be redone. Would be a great asset to have circling over the battlefield by night.

The old one was a great add on our squad used on some maps and even on a war vs other squad. I would also like to suggest to add multiple weapons even if you have to reduce a bit the faces of the model. it is worth I also would like to point that destroying the old ship was difficult because its "locking" point was just astern fo the boat thus enaging it with some weapons in some cases did not much harm. Worth take a look at it. Please do not forget to ass some lateral ladder and if possible some small motorboat that can be released from the ship like the Oil Tanker that comes with Mapfact. This really gives possibilities to any ship so you can let the ship on sea and disembark or embark ir safely using the attached motorboats. It is stealthy, more realistic and will avoid you have to run aground your vessel on the ebach to disembark a party. Please take a look at the Oil tanker (Smuggler version) of Mapfact.

Torpedoes are important since everytime we do have more Naval Platforms on OFP and because the real thyphoon carries them. The CoC Torps are just great and have already been impleemented in other subs like the KILO.

I am afraid that despite Ralph comments about only mentioning the movie, the subliminal propaganda it has forces us to talk about it. All freedom loving people are on war against terrorism. I am not going to say that Allied Soldiers are saints and that terrorists are all evil, that would be a poor cheap comparation. Wars have collateral damage, they always had and they will always will. The main difference is that the Allied side did not specifically target civilians as its main objective while the terrorist do. Here in Spain they killed 192 civilians on trains, not a single soldier or even armed people was hurt. I will not question their rights or ideas, I do not even have the time for that. I just know they are against our way of living, they are against our freedom they are against our values. And be sure that if give the chance they will destroy them all. Think in how the Taliban ruled Afghanistan, think about how the Iranians rule their country and be sure that if nothing is done to stop it, this is what we can face on our countries. Super high tech weapons have proved not to be a guarantee against this. Our soft, confortable middle class people have not the strenght or guts to face those terrorists face to face on combat, it is simply "not nice". Do not feel too safe and think of this as remote issue that will not affect you. Some people on the US and Europe have already paid with their lives at home. The point on this video that as a OFP video have the best quality I ever seen on the technical side is that somewhat looks to justify the suicide bomber and so the Terrorism action as an act of justice. And this is exactly what the terrorists have always wanted us to think. "yes, they did this because this..." They already forced a goverment change here with this "way of thinking" a goverment that removed our troops from Iraq. People here already thought we were targeted because we had soldiers in Iraqu even when the bombing was planned before the Iraq war. Terrorist 1- Democracy and Freedom 0 Keep justifying their action and soon they will start "reasons" to alter your politics and even your day to day way of doing? Next time they want to force your country to do something they only have to kill 200 of your civilians and let the the thinking that this is "because we did that" logic play and watch the resoults. Other issue clearly publcited on the movie was that "media is corrupt". So I wonder who should inform us about the "truth"? Al Jazira? Media is what our societies are and deliver what we want to hear. But it is best that only hear what a Mullah or Ayatolah have to say with no option to even disagree. Do not forget de media people have died while trying to do their job to keep people informed so now we all can freely second guess everything from our confortable armchair at home. Do you think this forum or even this games or even internet would be allowed by this people if they have the chance. The movie as move is very good on technical quality but I feel that besides recognicing the technical value that it almost looks  too "professional" I cannot fail to say its clear and defined message as justifying terrorism acts makes me feel sick. Lets not allow with the excuse of Art have this clearly Terrorism actions support or justification is a forum that is characterized by its freedom defense values. Sometimes being neutral is not possible. If I have stepped over the forum rules I apologize to the outstanding moderators we have here.

Sorry to brought back this old thread but I am looking for a functional UAV vehicle and the only one that I know that is not exclusive part of a mod is this one. I remeber I used it and even for an add on made in 2003 was real good and functional. The links do not work anymore. Does anyone have it? Does anyone knows where to get it? Does anyone where to get any realistic UAV for reconeisance that is not an exclusive part of a mod? Thank you
