Someone should realy make this addon for WWII missions the Airspeed Horsa It would be an excellent addon to have available.

It will be a sad day for everyone if UBI buys Codemasters, UBI's future is Console games 1st, PC 2nd, from what I have seen with UBI they have a policy with PC games of send it out now even though it is broke, and maybe we will fix it later, they offer next to no support for their games and rely on community support, if you need to speak to their support you can email them (but dont expect a reply) or you can call a premium rate number and hear someone tell you to format and reinstall everything, or that problem is known about and may be fixed in the next patch. RvS and Lock On are glowing examples of how to screw up potentially good releases, both were released too early with too many show stopping bugs, hell even Lock On could not run on a 98 OS when it was released, and for anyone from UBI or the Dev's to even say that they were not aware of that bug before release is nothing more than a LIER. RvS introduced more bugs than it fixed. BIS would be better to produce/develop OFP 2 and any future products in their own name, because UBI will surly put a stain that will be hard to remove from BIS's excellent reputation.

I would have to agree, they have managed to improve collision detection in VBS and improve the graphic quality, so if it is using the same engine, just how hard could it be for them to transfer some improvements made in VBS engine to the OFP engine....hell they could even charge for those improvements, no-one is asking for anything for free, just a continued support for this program until OFP II is released.

I am trying to get a group to start aboard a 5T Truck, In the Group leaders field I have Group1 = GroupThis; This MoveInCargo truck1 The only one that starts inside the truck is the group leader and that is oly if I set him to In Cargo, if I dont everyone is just standing around out side, this is on 1.46, Anyone got any advice as to what could be wrong?

I got drawn to the darkside (AmericasArmy) so have forgotten nearly all I learned when I first started to make missions (many moons ago). I am surprised that no-one has still not got around to producing a manual that a numskull like me could follow, just something that list example common everyday commands and init strings that are used in making a mission, nothing too in-depth but would cover the basics and intermediate mission building. Could be a money earner for someone I know I would buy it

Thanks for the fast reply The problem I have is that a script for re-supplying troops, depends on the group being called group 1 etc, unless I try puting group1 as the unit name ? Dont the _x mean that the group is un-named? Edit, Just tested it, changed the exec to echo the unit name rather than group 1 etc, and it looks like it works ok, thanks again for a fast reply

1. Smoke grenades fall through the bridge (loosing good cover there) 2. At the start when you fill up the moterbike at the garage, select save close the program, then start again at your save point, and watch your self get teleported to a tiny island as punishment for saving too soon (lucky it is at the start) 3. Roades are incomplete in places. 4. Tanks difficult to stop downhill (a lot harder than before) 5. Troops run so far onto the bridge then run around like demented children and wont progress across the bridge. 6. Vehicles sometimes have a problem crossing the main bridge under AI control. 7. Small airfield to the north does not function with AI's as pilots for planes, even if you set auto-land it will fly to the main airport. 8. Cannot change from bino's to RPG unless you change to main weapon first. Nice addon! but BI could have spent a little more time on the quality control, or is this what we can expect from BI "poor quality of goods" only to be rectified by patches?

I have an issue with the 2nd mission in Res, My No3 got wounded after I ordered him to attack the tank, the gimp refused, then got wounded for his troubles, but then no matter what order I gave he just sat there with his RPG at the ready shouting roger, I ended up having to kill him, to progress with the mission (bit of a bummer, when you are suposed to try and keep ya men safe). Other problem I had was during the convoy mission, I shot up the renforcments, then instructed the men to climb into the truck with No2 as driver of one truck and myself as driver of the other, and the other men instructed to climb into the back, this they did with no problems, but would not move back to the camp when instructed, I told them to disembark and drove them to the camp my self, then went back for the 2nd truck, when I got there No2, 3, & 4 were still sitting in the truck (so who the hell did I drop off at my camp?) when I tried to mount the truck (no sexual prefrences please) it would not let me, untill I shot the driver, then it said "Oh! No 2 is down" but I could then drive the truck back to base, and complete the mission. I hope these bugs are just one off, as if I have to keep shooting my own men to complete the missions, Ill be doing the enemys job for them

I think all other nations should suspend all  diplomatic connections and support with Israel, untill they follow the UN demands, then a buffer zone is setup between Israel and Palastine, controlled by the UN, Arafat should step down, and his replacment should be given the opertunity to build a police/army force within Palastine, this to be overseen by the UN, then this force aided by the UN is to seek and remove any known terrorist network from Palastine, If the people of Palastine realy want peace this would be the time for them to prove it. Sharon should also stepdown as these two children will never be able to agree with each other, while they continue to blame each other for their actions. while they continue to do this there will never be any hope of peace. The people of both Nations  keep saying they want peace.....Instead of talking about it....do something about it......get a leader into your goverments that can arrange a peace process. It will be hard at first, but untill they can get somebody in there that can talk to each other and work with each other towards peace they will never see it.

Unless a customer specifys special restrictions or working conditions at the place of install, why should the contractor bow to their every whim. I install business telephone systems (my own business) and we inform the customer that they have to remove ceiling tiles, fixings, pc's or what ever or we wont be held resonsible for damage, we had one company that tried to sue us because we told them to move their server 4ft (the server crashed) they was without a network for 4-5 hrs, they tried to say that the server did not need moveing to do the work so they held us responsible for the down time, nice having a terms & conditions that they have to read and sign:) and yes it didn't even get to court (and they are still our customer). As for removing footware unless the customer can supply an alternative footware then they have to put up with what we have, not forgetting that they have to ensure that the replacement footware is clean and safe, also if you get injured while wearing thier footware they are liable for your injurys, as they are also responsible for your health and safety while working there. If we get butthead customers we normaly ask them to provide proof of their liability insurance before any work is done (you should see their faces):):):) And yes I have a very profitable business:):)

Looks like the truth is starting to come out, about the American secret service knowing about the terrorists prior to 911. Information was passed to the White House, FBI, CIA and god knows who else, about the suspected plan to highjack a plane or a number of planes, they were also given the identity of a number of the terrorists involved, weeks before 911, but they just sat on that information, someone said that they did not suspect that the USA was going to be the target, so there was no urgency to clarifiy the information. WTF!..........No Urgency! for the love of god, what gives any nation, agency, or person the right to decide what information should be passed on regarding any suspected terrorist act? irrespective if your countrys security is not concidered to be at risk. Now we see that the US security services are now having their balls hung out to dry, and a new closer working relationship is to be formed between those services, I just wonder how many people had the information at hand and did nothing? I hope those bastards that had the information, have a very hard time sleeping at night now! And yes I know there are spwelling ewors!

That is why the American government is so concerned about Europe adopting the 1 market 1 currency policy, you combine all the resources and capital from Europe and Europe does becomes a state (even Russia has shown an interest in joining Europe), then that state will be just as large as America, and then Europe do not become dependant on America for military might, or financial aid (there is already talk of Europe having a European only NATO, to police Europe and surrounding area's) UK, Germany and France are in negotiations for building a number of super carriers, and building a European Navy that will dwarf the US fleet (mind you, this will take many years to do, look how long the euro fighter has taken to be built), then America may even be asked to leave the European countries they are guests in, as they will no longer be required for security duties. This could fall one way or the other for the USA, USA get’s left out in the cold, or over the time of these supposedly planned integrations, the USA gets included in it, but they could loose the control they have at the moment within NATO and the market place. I could be talking clap trap, but it is info I have read on the internet from news/financial/current affairs websites. Only one problem with America is that they have a few assholes that sprout the usual comment "if it wasn't for the US you would all be speaking German now" when America is called into disrepute! Other than that and some of their government’s policies, America is a great place, with great people.

The annoying point is, it was not just the one agency that decided to sit on the information! (by all accounts it goes right to the top) also because the USA was not thought to be the target for the highjackings "they" did not feel that they had any need to check things too urgently or pass that information on to other nations that could have been considered at risk! Yes I agree that it is easy to look back and see the wrongs, but for such a government like the USA, or infact any goverment to ignore information like that falls on the side of total incompetence. Maybe if there wasn’t that built in suspicion and paranoia between their own agency’s, maybe just maybe 911 may never have been able to happen, and for that FBI or CIA agent to say that “because the USA was not the likely target for these highjackings, it was considered that there was no urgency to check this information out†comments like that can only re-enforce peoples view of the USA “that if it isn’t in the USA’s interests then screw them†Yes a lot of lessons are going to be learnt from this, and not just for the USA, every country will learn from the mistakes made leading up to 911, but lets face it “it was a very expensive mistake to learn fromâ€

Wonder how long it will be before someone starts threating you with legal action, because you are supplying a mission on the cd made by "joe Bloggs" who has used "john smiths" add-on & "fritz grubbes" script to make the mission and "friz" has not given you permission to use his script.... Lets face it.... all anyone will see is that you are making some monies by offering the "Free" Un-Official Resource CD to anyone that donates to your site....and you are re-producing their work without them agreeing to it!
