    Us presidential election 2004

I didn't see the whole thing, but I thought Bush did a lot better than Kerry. Guess I'm one of the only Bush supporters on this forum too.

    Evil Genius Demo

Well I put him in the mixer bowl and in the interrogation chair but no luck. He just wouldn't crack. Even pulled some Michael Jackson moves on him.

    Either way, it'll be hilarious.

    Mt. St. Helens

Or maybe the Cali. quake was caused by all this activity? *gasp* California is about to erupt!

    Team America- World Police

Looks hilarious. I wouldn't be surprised if it was very one-sided as most south park episodes tend to be. When I first saw it, though, I thought they were being sarcastic. "Team America - World Police", sounds like somebody poking fun at America's foreign policy if you ask me.

    Anybody watch the SpaceShipOne launch?

The prize is more of an excuse to expand the civilian aerospace market.

The 10 million million dollar prize? j/k I'd love to see what this guy can do with all that money.

It was nice not having a huge crowd this year. Â There was still enough people to stand around in front of the airplane to ruin my shots though (and get them denied from airliners.net ). I should be coming up with some good shots soon. Â I'm on the flight team at college and one of our activities involves standing next to a runway (and I mean right next to a runway) and juding spot landings. Â Should make for some great in-air shots. Â Maybe some wheelbarrowing planes and tailstrikes, but hopefully not. edit - Here's one I didn't post earlier. Â A P-51D "Gunslinger" after performing a heritage flight with an F-16. http://fspilot.homestead.com/files/Airshow/P51flag.JPG That's a 48 star flag he's waving. Â IIRC they said it was commemorative of the flags they used in WW2 (there were only 48 states in WW2). edit: oops pic size!

    <<<China>>>

Which is kinda funny since they only have a defense force if I remember correctly. That's what Hawaii said, then WHAM! This whole China v. US thing, somebody should make an OFP campaign or SP mission. Â Seriously, call it "Crimson Sunrise" or something.

It's really not that great. Â The static displays weren't worth it (last year they had lots more because of hurricanes, I guess Florida's not getting pounded this week because it was pretty sparse), you could only get in one of the big ones (C-17). Plus I got the hell burnt out of me standing around getting bossed around by 11 year old volunteers obsessed with people leaning on the orange plastic fence. The aerial displays are definately worth it though. Â Along with various aerobatic performances there was a warbirds display which was just amazing (AC-47, AT-6, PT-19, B-17, B-25 as well as others), F-16 demo was amazing, B-1 flyby (which is my new ringtone ), F-16/P-51 heritage flight, and of course the snowbirds. Â Not to mention the golden knights. Good show, but bring sun lotion.

Just got back from the McConnel AFB open house (air show) with a few pictures. 93-0602 C-17 Globemaster III tail. Â I love the tails of USAF airplanes. Â You can find out most of the information from the tail. Â This aircraft's MAJCOM is the AETC, it was ordered in 1993 and flys for the 97th AMW out of Altus AFB, OK. 93-0602 flight deck. Â Notice the control stick instead of a traditional yoke. Â The pilot remarked that this aircraft's minimum runway was 3,500 feet. "Let's Roll" nose art. Front aspect of 93-0602. Canadian Snowbirds in a great formation. Â This was one of the best demos I've ever seen. Â They even taxiied in formation. Snowbirds performing the "bomb burst", IIRC. Â Great formation work and timing. There were 2 A-10s, 2 F-15s, 1 T-1, 1 T-38, 1 B-1, 1 KC-135, 1 C-17, several different models of the UH-60, 1 C-21, and a large variety of WWII era warbirds on static display.

    go see this movie!

I've always liked the bourne movies but I never found time to go see this one. I'll probably get it when it comes out on DVD or something.

I don't see what's so impressive about it. Ground effect only has a real effect within half a wingspan of the ground. Â Judging by those pictures they'd have to be flying at under 30 feet at the most. Â I don't see how this plane even got past the drawing boards. Â At those speeds, 30 feet is just too low to be flying across the ocean. Â Don't even think about flying across the land like that. Â You'd find a radio tower the hard way before you even saw it coming.

Yep.. The KM aka. Caspian sea monster which was an ekranoplan that uses the wing in ground effect. If I remember correctly it was over 100m long and it weighed more than 500 ton. http://www.home-taylor.freeserve.co.uk/caspian.jpg They flew that in ground effect?! Â Not for long. Â There's no way they'd cross the ocean in that. Â Hell they'd be so low they'd get picked off by waves. Â Look at that wingspan, that's way too low to do any kind of long range flying unless you've got terrain following radar or something.

If China somehow figured out how to move all of it's starving troops, inexperienced pilots, and knockoff equipment over here and invaded the US we'd probably just sweep down our millions of reserves from the north, landing our stealth C5s on highways and kicking troops and tanks out the door. Â Then we would work on infecting them all with the T virus. Â Then we could probably start using nuclear weapons on US soil, depends on how much oil is left in the affected areas. Sarcasm aside, it's not going to happen. Â China could not move a force large enough to sustain itself over here while every gun-toting American fought them off, not to mention all the troops freshly back from Iraq. At least not without us knowing first.

Gymnastics gone wrong I think when I saved it as a .gif some of the frames i put in for timing got screwed up somehow. Â It looks better if you view it with pivot. Download the Pivot file

Iraq still has (had?) plenty of ties to terrorism. Â Just none confirmed to AQ. And shouldn't Canada be on the list too? Â Isn't that how they got into the US for 09/11 in the first place? edit - I liked their report on the Cooter festival.

You guys would like The Daily Show. Â They pretty much make fun of whoever's president, as well as other things in the news. Â They've got this giant liberal fanbase now because a republican is president. Â I cant wait to see what will happen if a democrat gets elected.

Want to shoot yourself up with a Kalashnikov?

Try this: Â Get a watermelon, drill a hole in it big enough to fit the neck of a bottle of vodka (or everclear, or any other strong alcoholic beverage), then tilt the watermelon up as to pour the alcohol into the watermelon. Â Let it sit like this in the fridge for a day or so, then come back and enjoy your alcoholic watermelon.

I might end up playing it for fun. But I'm sure as hell not spending $50 on it.
