yeah, ill also being doing a mixed a10 verison, but ill need the mod tools to do so, so that will be later... my next step is changing the sound of the gun to more realism, then maybe look around at the armor values. And i will probly be relooking the smoke out of the gun, to make it... mmm better, but later.

Ok... i still have no clue what i'm doing wrong in the config of the a10 to still not have any gun smoke, can some one on these forums help? More info on the A10 Mix coming soon.

Ok, now i know ive trying almost anything to get smoke on the gun, i know i'm not doing something right.... i even took diesal ofp a10 and looked threw that Config, i found what i needed, but i just need to know how to put it into this config to make it work with the a10. Now, the weapons are a difrent story, im going to screw around with that tonight and see if i can do anything with out the mod tools.

thats what i'm mainly going to edit, is the cannon, i'm going to make it so it smokes and maybe add tracers...

it would break the game, cause its not just an addon, its added into the Config file... You will ether have to wait for an addon maker to make a new a10, or roll right back into 1.07 EDIT/ ok, it might not break the game hearing from the above poster, but... i still dont think its smart, its really not worth it.. just wait for me to take the a10 and mod it to realism, then you can do that.

Ok, now... i'm not whining, but i am complaining... And, i'm not trolling.... but the a10, is just way under looked... The GAU Main cannon, wth... wth is that peice of crap?? when u fire it, no smoke coming from the gun, no tracers on the bullets, Nothing? and then the gun is WAY WAY under powerd... i mean omg, Wth, i feel like i'm shooting a mini gun on a blackhawk... And whats with this 1 sec burst, 2 sec burst crap??? Please, answers would be nice on some of this, and do not give me an answer saying, Oh its for balancing.. cause there is no balancing in war, and this is a simulator, so come on... I mean, i do like how the wheels spin, and the front one turns when u turn on the ground, and i like how when u board it the ladder comes down and the cockpit opens, but other then that, its just paper weight after you fire off those rockets or drop those bombs, but in real life, that thing is probly more leather with that gun then some missile. Ok, once the mod tools are out, ME... i will try to learn how to do this, and i will fix the damn plane my self, maybe add a couple more loadouts that can be changed in mission and not in editor... But, it just makes me mad to think BIS/ATARI or any one would do this to its arma community..... Not finishing half there products in the game, A10, weapon sounds, all sounds infact, no MI24 hind??? thats a fricken joke.... No 7ton truck.. nothing... wth?

you forget to add... -No tracers on rounds (whoa, now thats a screw up... like, every fricken gun if not all of them have tracers, and the a10 dont... eh, weird...) No smoke, and no tracers really make that plane feel like a peice of crap... its somthing that some one needs to fix, i would, if i knew how to mod...

^^^^^ Once again wrong, they can also put bombs there, not just drop tanks.... but, back on topic, this is not about the fricken bombs, its about the crapy 30mm that bis/atari totaly screwed up.

Nice, now it dont look like some one spit balled the vehical once it blew up, dont get me wrong but i hated the crumble effect of ofp, and i now kinda hate the total rust effect in arma, this would be a nice add.... keep up the good work!! But, for some suggestions, maybe u can add some holes from bullets/shrapnel, and maybe add a hole or two from rockets maybe??

that is the new bis a10 for you, and that missile being there is not accurate one bit, usaly a bomb would be there, that missile being there jabbed my mind. BTW, I hate BF2, if you really think i'm compairing it to the most unrealistic game on the planet then you need some help, some major help. And also BTW, There is NO SMOKE OR TRACERS on or coming out of that gun on the a10, the smoke should be anuff to blind the pilot for 2 secs, watch the video in the first post, you'll see what i mean.

well, mister freedom of speach(refering off you'r sig). The smoke not being there on that gun really kills the plane, and i dont feel power behind the gun ether, so... yeah.

well, ive had the game for 5-6 days, US version, and... i still think the gun is under powerd, when i do a 2 sec burst my speed should be shreding away because of the force of this gun, and the ground should be shaking because of the impact of those 30mm

i just played arma with my american 1.6 version with this mod and it kicks ass, u just need to switch out the a10 noise... its not that bad, but ya cant leave that out.

..and finally I found out the solution to my problem!.. Actually sfmadmax replied to my pm. Thanks sfmadmax!!! In my case (and sfmadmax's too) it's a USB keyboard causing the problem!!!!!!!!!! Start the game, start a simple mission, unplug the USB keyboard, plug it again and voila!!!.... Everything works great Tricky, isn't it?? did u even read that? ^^^^^

There seems to be something not right with your PC: "3D_Performance=2000.000000;" On my PC (C2D 6400@3200MHz, 2GB, X1900XT) it says: "3D_Performance=12000.000000;" That said I also experience slight pauses when bringing up the map and going back to the 3D view, but I'd not classify them as a "freeze" myself. Hitting escape brings up the menu pretty much instantly. Don't know what's wrong with your rig, but something seems to be, no? "hardly that good looking" - you're joking, right? It may not have flashy graphics like any other run of the mill shooter, sparkly and shining everywhere, but I don't think that was the goal at all. ArmA strives for a realistic look instead and boy, does it ever succeed. Now, my PC doesn't have the horsepower to run it at max details and still have playable framerates, but sooner or later that day and hardware will come and you bet that I'll be there. Well this game is pissing me off...

i just built this pc from the ground up by hand, i dont think doing that will do a damn difrence, thanks anyways... sorry i'm going at you like this, just i dont want one of the best pcs to start acting like shit to a hardly that good looking of a game that i could defenitly run.
