So, what do you think neoconservatives believe in?
-
I think that is rather irrevelant since the other end's privacy and therefore rights are violated nonetheless. The only difference is that there is one less person being mistreated.
-
Nope, the NSA had all the powers they could have to wiretap foreigners outside the United States. The whole point is that the TBA decided to extend their wiretapping powers by issuing a secret executive order in 2002 authorizing warrantless wiretapping inside the united states therefore circumventing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance act and the fourth amendment.

To quote the US citizenship and immigration services.. http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/PermRes.htm And to quote the supreme court of the united states.. http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct....ZS.html http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct....ZS.html http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts....vol=410 I think it is clear by now that any legimate (and possibly illegimate) immigrant residing inside the United States and it's territories is covered by the rights granted in the bill of rights. The main difference between a citizen and a resident is the right to remain in the country and the right to decide it's rulers.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." So I suppose non-citizens are not people? The reason why the citizen concept is avoided is because there are lot of occurences in history in which citizenship was refused or taken away from the people in order to oppress or even eliminate them, for example, the jews in nazi Germany were redesignated as "subjects of the state" rather than citizens.

150 euros for the OEM version here at the cheapest. Pretty much the same as xp pro.
-
Does'nt really matter with that kind of hardware, maybe if you really hate/love the XP interface...
-
I think it's pretty clear now that it will not come out this summer nor spring.
-
Gulf of tonkin?
-
That does'nt mean much either considering the inflation.

Well, hopefully (More "Hopefully-or-I'm-Going-To-Attack-BIS") the netcode has been improved, so that should sort things out - Ben I'd say it has been fairly well improved already, playing 30 player coops with directplay and proper connections worked like a charm with newer versions.

I tried turning that island in a photo editor and I have to say that it really does'nt look like sahrani to me.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4889668.stm Will be interesting to see where this leads to. Not that I was very keen on the idea of wasting our tax money on religious extremists.

Where excatly in the PATRIOT act? I tried looking under title II that seems to cover most of the surveillance stuff but I do'nt seem to find anything pointing to congressional oversight. Not saying that you are wrong but..
-
There is oversight. Â There is a panel of 4 congressmen, 2 congressmen from each party, who have to view the information first before the wiretaps are made. Â This isn't a case of some yahoo acting like a tyrant. Â This method is quicker than obtaining a warrant and therefore allows the government to more easily catch terrorists or terrorist supporters. Â This process is necessary with the overwhelming number of throw-away cell phones available to anyone who wants them. Â These cell phones allows a person to make one call, then they throw away the phone and use another one. Â The traditional method of getting a warrant isn't fast enough for this kind of environment. Last time I checked the democratic way to get around problems like that when you have more than enough time is to introduce legislation.

No unless you plan on getting over 4 gigs of RAM.

Pff, it's not like we are getting sunk with westerners. Your average antibiotics/food aid haul to some 3rd world hellhole will provide much more new people than some organ transplant.
-
It's about members of some super-secret special forces unit (read: delta force) and their families. Quite unimpressive so far. The families bits are dull almost 50's-like and the military parts are so-so. Even Haybert seems painfully awkward.

Well, it's not like you can usually drive your IFV/APC through a lake without any sort of preparations most of the time anyways..
-
With FX5200 you'd be lucky to get fps to double digits..
-
Well, it's been a while since I played it last time but I recall resistance campaign having soviets invade nogova with the permission from up high.

The same friends who gave Saddam intelligence in spring 2003 about american movements? The same friends who keep supporting relics like Lukashenko? And with the constantly more authoritian measures taken by Putin who knows what they will do next.. The may not be much of a direct threat anymore but they are hardly friends to the west.

Considering that north koreans so far have been featured as bad guys in Splinter Cell 3 (ok, they are not the main bad guys in this one but still..), mercenaries and Ghost Recon 2 i'd say they are not 'next', they already are. EDIT: Ooh! I forgot about true crime: LA!

I think forcibly taking over eastern europe and killing millions while doing it makes russians bad enough dudes.

Tried the skill slider? It changes the shooting accuracy and advanced tactics, not sure about the fitness  Eh? I mean that if you play a mission as a 'special forces' unit, you should automatically be able to run further, faster and shoot better. It doesn't make any sense in OFP that a guy fresh out of boot camp is identical to a spec ops man, except for attire and equipment. Guess we would be wandering into the domain of roleplaying rather than tactical simulations then..
