No, no release date yet In fact, I just started the planning for it. My initial thought was to have three teams slugging it out on AEC. West gets Malden as supply base, with the navy element being the Nimitz and two escorts...probably the "Nasty" class PT boat and the Freemantle (look at ofp.info under "ships".) East gets Kolgujev as supply base - with the obvious disadvantage that they have no runway. On the other hand, the Kuzentsov doesn't seem to be explodable So yeah, they'd get the Kuznetsov and two of PC's Sovvremennys (sp!?!? ) Resistance would get Everon, and PC's Japanese ships, with the obvious disadvantage of no carrier. Again, they can use the airport on Everon as supply base. Ok, this is the setup, all ships are playable, as well as several airplanes. Obviously, this would need airplane respawn, or it would get boring very very quickly. As it looks right now, we have 9 ship slots, with the rest being aircraft slots, so ideally this would be an 18+ players game. The only AI should be AAA, Shilkas/Vulcans around the supply bases... My question to you is (you will be playing after all, so you have to make up your mind ): How can this be spiced up? What sub goals (other than sinking enemy fleet) could be included? Should East get the Kilo sub? Should/Could I add an inventive to rescue downed pilots (extra points, money, aircraft?) Should it be round-based or just check for total domination of one side (sinking of fleet, destruction of supply base?) Finally, suggest aircrafts! My current suggestions: - F-14 and F-18 for West (on carrier), with some parked F-16 and helicopters at the supply base on Malden - Mig-29 and Su-27 for East (on carrier) and parked Hinds on Kolgujev - Mig-21, Tornado, F-4 for Resistance (on Everon) So yeah, any input is welcome. Help shape this mission into something fun

I love this game The M-60 was mad, open up for 2 mins and EVERYTHING on the map was dead, you could call for chopper extraction, CAS....hand signals were an integral part as well. This game was the precursor to Wargasm and OFP

That depends on the addon itself - most likely, a multi-role version will be on the carriers and more specialised versions will be ground based - obviously, East doesn't have much choice in that regard, though the CoC pack does have a Su-25 with Torps...just might put it on the carrier, irregardless of how unrealistic this is. As for the bases, for AA I'm thinking Vulcans/Shilkas/AA soldiers only at the moment, unless we had some major AA revolution lately?

Ok, the ships are as follows. I have eliminated the Kuznetsov, as I can not understand how I can get it to sink/blow up like any other normal ship. If you know how to work the Kuznetsov, please drop me a message and help me, because I hate the idea of two Nimitz's slugging it out. The Japanese F-2 (which is their version of an F-16) is a beautiful plane, but has one major disadvantage - no missile warning system. So its out. The same with the Japanese F-1. SeaDemon's Mig-29 is also a very beautiful plane, but it has one major disadvantage - its turning radius is horrendous, I doubt it could maneuver on a carrier. So its out. After some testing, I decided to go with the following: Each side will have the standard BIS helicopters as well as more of the above planes at their respective bases. Resistance will have to make do without any. I will also add the CoC Torpedo addon, so this should be fun If the Torp pack does have resistance helos with torps, then they get those of course The downloads for the above planes are here: - Su-22 (Resistance plane) - F-18 pack (West plane) - Su-27 (East plane) As for the ships, I will announce the addons/used ships shortly.

No, there's not THAT much space on AEC, plus there will be too much AI that way. I am also thinking of reducing the amount of plane addons to 1 per side to ease on the downloads. At the moment I am still trying to put together a destructible and backfiring Nimitz and Kuznetsov, but it ain't working. I am also looking for a good East plane, but not having much luck in finding something to rival the F-18 pack.

Ok, time's up, the UEFA Champions League 2004-2005 has come to its successful close. Liverpool FC are the worthy underdog winners who have, time and again, proven critics and bookies wrong and beaten some of the best sides in Europe to take the European Champions League Trophy home, probably the most prestigious club trophy in the world. With all my heart I congratulate the winners and hopefully UEFA will see the error of their ways and we will see Liverpool try to defend their trophy With these final remarks, I am now putting a close to a very exciting year of European football and thank all teams for the entertaining football we were allowed to watch this year.
