i dont think it has much to do with geometry, as the module A pack used bis models (the ch-47 and ah-1) and made them attackable without touching the p3d's
-
the only way i can see that being possible is by making no steerable wheels, then make it have a tank class, thats the only way you can have that many wheels

it was probably either desert everon or desert malden (both can be found here: http://www.ofp.info ) or if not it would be the desert in Nogova
-
well...its certainly achievable, all the new nam pack choppers get shot at by mg's and also by small arms i think...or maybe only by small arms when on the ground, but they certainly get shot while flying

1: check the UH-1C download somewhere around this thread 2: check out the nam pack 3: quakergamer has made some of these, not sure where you can find them 4: http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users....mY1BtR_ UH-60 with M134 5: there is no website for the pack, although this thread on the ofpec forums is where most of the news is posted: http://www.ofpec.com/yabbse....adid=61 to ballistics: the littlebirds will hopefully get released this weekend (maybe also along with an MH-60L with minigun), i think the map its on is just the normal desert island....unless youre looking at a different pic to me?

as soon as helicopters touch the ground they become the same as any other enemy vehicle, so all ai will try to attack it just like they would a tank or a car, hence the rpg i believe the key to making mg's target helo's is in the accuracy=?; i think it was anything over 5 will make them attack, im not sure but i think this is how selectthis accomplished it, selectthis has also made RPG soldiers shoot at helo's im not sure how he did this but youll find out in the nam pack

woah woah im not upset you released these, im glad you released these so youve clearly got the wrong end of the stick, what i was giving was constructive criticism so that you can look at these issues for a next version as you mentioned, i also assumed it was meant to be a M60 as the quad m60 huey was a very well used version, and those hueys youve seen arent mine so why would i get wound up about it? i think you have severely overreacted!
-
its very good overall although a few things i noticed: 1: the guns are horrifically tiny, these guns are supposed to be m60's 2: the textures dont always match, the textures used on the front of the roof and on the nose dont match the rest of the huey 3: you should be able to heal at the heli, dustoffs had two medics onboard, so if you have a minor wound they would be able to do the same as medics in the field, and seeing as ofp doesnt account for things like chopped off limbs you should be able to heal at the medivac

why two versions? 1.46 and 1.75+?? using binarize you can make it so that cfgmodels works with 1.46, thus only needing one version

Something quite simple to make game more realistic
Eviscerator replied to GFX707's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
it has ejection all the time, its just hard to notice sometimes as it has a set direction and speed, so when facing the plane in different directions it wont work correctly and end up throwing you at the ground and also if bis read this: ALLOW EJECT TO BE HOTKEY-ABLE -

no i think its a compilation of sounds, isnt it?

How to avoid conflicting add ons...
Eviscerator replied to Powerslide's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
you need to use it on everything -
its actually a pretty old shot, and as ive already said, its too low detail, quakergamer should slow down and concentrate on getting one thing perfect before making something else, as this huey could use a lot of work

it is a remington 700, so yes it definetely looks like its an M24 or M40A1
-
you need to edit the mass in the geometry lod of the p3d
-
all the res-command sub domains are down, and if you have binarize there are some very good 1.75 commented configs in the zip, much better than the ones on the breathe website, might help explaining what does what, is there anyone that can do basically what the battlesounds does but with all satchels sounds(so its just a sound.pbo replacement)? i know he modifies the config for some things but im sure leaving them out wouldnt do too much, at least then people could enjoy satchels sounds online

well as the name suggests, the nam pack....is for the vietnam era, when there were no blackhawks, im pretty sure that Adammos is for the same era too (going by colours and the type) I know about them. Can you be more specific than "A few weeks?" I have a couple of little jobs for some Huey-Novembers and Cobra-Whiskeys. the AH-1W is a couple of weeks away, we have resumed full scale work on this now, as we are doing one project at a time to get them all released, after this will be the UH-1N although at the minute the UH-1N is being worked on while we wait for the texture files to arrive for the cobra (already finished, we just need them sent over to vixer )

well i had a KL?-125 (the ? is because im not sure but it looked exactly like the one stt has made) and most people are right about the noise, it is really loud, all you can hear is the engine, i couldnt even hear the person on the back shouting at me, so it should be a lot louder, the speed seems about right to me, although maybe it should be a bit faster as the addon is a 250, also im not sure if stt has done this or not but the fuel in these doesnt last long, i remember having to get fuel every few hours of pure riding, (oh and 1 fuel capacity point in the cpp equates to around a minute real time), anyway other than that, great addon [edit: i could also get to 110kph in about 2-300m so im guessing the speed its at now is about right, it also feels about right while riding on it, althoughyou may need some adjustments for a 250]

MI-24 cockpit glass can withstand 20mm rounds so a .50(12.7mm) round shouldnt be able to kill the pilots, this is probably also why bis didnt add a fire geometry
-
wow that looks very good, is it a modified version of the UH-1H? some of the things look familiar like the rotors, but its still great work!! i love the skin, now i definately want you to IM stt to see if we can get all the army hueys with this skin too as it looks great!

dont worry, all those choppers (except the AH-1G) were modelled by SelectThis, ive modelled the UH-1N(from scratch) for Ballistic's so there wont be any conflict of scale, i believe the whole pack (which includes 4 more helicopters, about 20 new weapons and brand new soldier models) will be out in a couple of weeks i think, but maybe you should think about IM'ing SelectThis and you two putting your heads together and maybe collaborating to make all of the hueys used in vietnam? as with your two models i think only an unarmed UH-1A/B is needed and it will have been accomplished, it also means that mission makers will know that if people have the nam pack they will have all the hueys and can then incorporate them, it also standardizes the look, so there are no differences, anyway it was just a thought. [edit: just incase theres any confusion, the SEB Nam Pack hueys are a completely different project to the UH-1N from ballistics]
