Yes, but probably wont make the release of SEAL Team 8, there are several things concerning this weapon and others that are still being decided...and im pretty sure not announced...so i suppose you'll just have to wait
-
Great looking choppers, especially the Puma! Only one thing i did see, if all the addons require each other, would it not make more sense to put them all in one download?

Don't drink and drive , how did you do that (Means how much editing did you do?) Model edit.

Seb nam pack 2 (full) or 3
Eviscerator replied to Landwarrior87's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Well, we expected to make them, but our workload has been too much to be able to do any considerable work on them, also with the modules and the missions it would probably have been 'Nam Pack 3', so my last statement stands... -
Not really, we were discussing SEAL weapons, not sure how that is offtopic...

Seb nam pack 2 (full) or 3
Eviscerator replied to Landwarrior87's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
The 'Nam Pack 2' is complete, not 90%, not a beta, not a demo, the released version was finished. -
Yes, which is why they are SASR (Special Application Scoped Rifles) and not 'sniper' rifles, they are used primarily as Anti-Material weapons and not Anti-Personnel.
-
Indeed, like dropping Mk 82's on the annoying ants in your garden...

For Christ's sake no, i'm not. Anyway, a  SR-25 is a rapid fire marksman rifle, what about proper sniper weapon the SEAL snipers use? Is it a regular M40 or something else, and errr... would it be included in the pack? Its an M91, a remington 700 based weapon. And yes, its already in there. Theres also the .300 WinMag, although thats not included. The M88 is an SASR not a sniper rifle, just like the Barret, they are used for Anti-Material and arent that accurate. (The best the M88 can do is 1.5 MOA while the Barret is probably a lot worse) So what would you use at 1600m? M24? no you wouldn't. The only reason they aren't too accurate is because of the lack of match grade 12.7mm ammo. Anyway what about that Canadian dude that hit that guy from was it 2000m away prolly more, I can't remember. I doubt you'd be able to do that with your M91 1.5 MOA is with match grade .50 ammo(edit, just checked again, wasnt match grade ammo), also apparently the canadian guy needed 5-10 shots to get the guy, which, with a sniper rifle is attrocious, sniper rifles are meant to hit on the first round, so the sniper can get away quickly, which is why bolt action sniper rifles are more popular (not talking about the M88 anymore), as they are more predictable, their loading process is less complicated so less things can go wrong, making it more likely the rifle will shoot in roughly the same place each time making it more likely for a first shot hit.

No, the SR-25 is an updated/modernised sniper version of the AR-10 (the precursor to the AR-15, it was up against the M14 to be the US Armys post-WW2 rifle, it lost because it was seen to be too modern), its chambered in 7.62x51 not the 5.56x45 of the M16/M4, also the M4 SPR isnt exactly an M4, its based on an M16A1 lower receiver with an all new upper receiver, its as accurate as an M24 out to 800m, in regards to the bipods the SR-25 and M4 SPR are not average rifles, they are dedicated sniper rifles. Also the SR-15 is not a 5.56mm version of the SR-25, however there are versions of it that look very similar to the SR-25, the SR-15 is basically just an M4 (but obviously KAC's version, and i think semi auto only) but with RAS as standard, there is however also a 'Match' rifle, with a 20" FF RAS barrel, which is the version cheeky monkey showed which does look a lot like the SR-25, but is not just a '5.56 version of the SR-25', as the normal SR-15 looks just like the M4, even the match version has a lot of noticable differences as their receivers look totally different. Edit: Just read Cheeky Monkeys post, the SR-15 is not the sniper version of the M16, if anything is its the SPR, the SR-15 has a barrel length of 16 inches, only two more than the M4 and 4 less than the M16 (two less than the M4 SPR), its also a civilian weapon, so not a sniper weapon, as that would be illegal There is a match shooting variant as i mentioned above but it is not a basic SR-15, thats like saying the M4 is the M4/M16's sniper rifle just because it carries somewhere near the same name as the M4 SPR.

Seb nam pack 2 (full) or 3
Eviscerator replied to Landwarrior87's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
At the minute we just really dont have the time to do anything more on it, we're all busy at BAS and will be for at least another 3-4 months, the Nam pack 2 is finished already, the modules were an extra, we added the armour so that mission makers didnt have to use armour from other addons and it would allow them to make missions that would not have to be changed if or when we updated the armour, although, seeing as most complaints come from the armour not having proper 3D models we probably would have had less hassle if we didnt include them at all, and no there is no website to keep up with progress on the armour pack, there has been no progress on the armour pack as there has been no time for progress, apart from BAS work there are real life issues like real life, work, and girlfriends/wives that take up the SEB teams time, so there really isnt a chance for us to work on the nam pack any time soon... -
Because the SR-25 shown is probably an Airsoft replica, so fires tiny BB's... Edit: 2000th post WAHEY!
-
You may be getting it confused with the M4 SPR.
-
And yes, there are Mk 11 Mod 0's with the SEAL's.
-
Never looked at a BAS addons readme? Each of our addons comes with background reading about the real unit/vehicle.
-
Not completely sure, i was thinking of doing something for the 1985 post, but obviously that passed me by, ill have to have a think...and not post too much until i do...

30m x 30m x 10m should fit in O2, but will be off the grid. Just scale it to 3m x 3m x 1m then scale by ten

Actually you are wrong, they are not all the same, it depends on which 'simulation=;' the ammo is defined with, only certain 'simulation=;'s can be used on certain vehicles. The weapon does nothing at all apart from launch the round, the important information is in the ammo, you also forgot: simulation=shotShell; The only ammo simulation that can be used on car 'simulation' vehicles is shotBullet.

Actually its Deadmeat who is working on the hummer, as well as several other vehicles from marfy.

Config.bin mod for inq_weaponpack
Eviscerator replied to InQUisiToR's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
i have 1 OFPr.exe. that uses the hisky, blood addon, (will use this addon) and about 1gig of other addons (edit: with no memory errors) You obviously dont play MP then. -
These addons (desert as well) are fantastic, but one thing i have noticed is that the Mk82's are really really weak, i mentioned this in the other thread where crippler was asking for cpp help, but at the minute the FFAR's are doing more damage than the Mk82 (FFAR is doing 700 damage whereas the Mk82 is only doing 500 damage), most addon makers are using a value of 5000 damage for Mk82's (Including Col Klink's A-4 and G8's Tornado's). Gloster Meteor A-1 Skyraider (may have been renamed for use in the royal navy) And the Hawk, which youve mentioned but not listed.

Config.bin mod for inq_weaponpack
Eviscerator replied to InQUisiToR's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Any chance you can make it work with the Dynamic range soundpack? Otherwise people will end up having 4-5 different ofp:r .exes, one for DR, one for the blood addon, one for the normal game, and one for this -
ftp://www.gamezone.cz/ofpd/unofaddons/sebnampack2_full.zip And the arms on those units are big orange/pink blobs because it was made so that the units could have random faces, and as the faces change so would the arm colour, this meant texturing them with a very small portion of the face texture, they could have been made to have proper arm textures but then a black soldier would have had a white guys arms...or there would have been no random faces at all...
