Well, there obviously is an M733 with a removable carry handle, otherwise how do you explain the photos of them? Also yes, they used a variety of weapons, many of which we probably dont even know about to this day, they could have had some early M4's or MP5's, or god knows what, the main reason i was trying to clear up that it wasnt a CAR-15 is DF:BHD, all the carbines in that game are M733 and yet are labelled with 'CAR-15', and every carbine in the movie, apart from gordons, were also M733's, and its not really as if people are getting excited over the real event, people want the guns, and anything surrounding the movie, as they have been made 'cool' by hollywood

Seems like something for BIS to fix to be honest, we cant be expected to make all our addons compatible with 1.46, 1.75(for those that cant upgrade), 1.91, and linux versions for all of those, we would just be spending all of our time making different versions instead of getting any work done.
-
No answer? Â Nope, i dont think any of us have experienced it, so kinda hard to fix it. We also dont understand the flashpoint.rpt code, so again, hard to fix it, if you maybe give us some more details about what happened to cause the crash (other than the MH-47E being damaged), also system details, os etc

Can someone tell where can i find a realistic m249
Eviscerator replied to rbeni12's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Standrd M249 is also included in the pack. -
Have you thought about using some kind of software voice program, like Teamspeak/Roger Wilco/GameVoice? Then you can play in sockets, have voice, and not be worried about your partition being wiped.

Hawker hunter beta release :)
Eviscerator replied to <>Crippler<>'s topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
The Red Arrows never used the Hawker Hunter. Â In 1955, 54 Sqn. put together a 4 ship team known as the Black Knights, then in 1956 111 Sqn. became the official RAF aerobatic team using 5 gloss black Hunters. I think he may be getting confused with the BAe Hawk, doesnt look anywhere near similar, but the name is kinda close. -
The "lost brothers" are alive!
Eviscerator replied to Uziyahu--IDF's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Erm, there are other modelling programmes. The MiG is in 3DSMax, the Galil is in Milkshape3D, and i cant work out what the Merkava is in... -
The "lost brothers" are alive!
Eviscerator replied to Uziyahu--IDF's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I dont think thats the version they were using, as that models got to be at least 100,000 faces, not really suitable for ofp. I remember seeing a lower poly version on their site somewhere. -
Every single MAAC and Marfy tank, you can find links to just about every tank addon, ever, on here: http://members.cox.net/johnnylump/OFPLinks.html

I think the AMTRAC youre speaking of was the LVTP5, the AAV is the LVTP7A1, or is an upgrade of it, uses the same chassis anyway.

The "lost brothers" are alive!
Eviscerator replied to Uziyahu--IDF's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
The ofp engine can easily handle cities, just not using BIS buildings which a lot of map makers are doing, they need to use low poly buildings, for instance for the amount of polygons in Viktors office you could have a city with nearly 1000 buildings if made properly. For instance: -
Joint ammo and mag project (jam)
Eviscerator replied to Tigershark_BAS's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Anyone elses opinions on what we should use? Either: "<Ammunition name> <Fire Mode>" So it would look like: "5.56x45mm Single" Or: "<Weapon Type> <Fire Mode>" So it would look like: "Rifle Single" -
Argh, that has got to be one of the worst installers ever, not only does it try to add a shortcut to your start menu to uninstall, it trys to add an uninstall exe to your addons folder, i hope noone else uses an exe like this for addons again.... Anyway, the MiG looks great, flies great, only thing i would like more is a ground attack version.

Edit: Erm, i have no idea why this posted here, i didnt even open this thread...

We had the same problem over at BAS with the unit textures on the soldiers arms, the way round it, found by SelectThis, is to create multiple faces, one for each of the decals you want and texture them with the decals, and then unhide them as you would normally do, its only when you try to add a texture not originally mapped to the face that it becomes blurry.
-
No point, its much better on system resources to model it, take a screenshot from the viewpoint of the gunner and then use that image as a template for a textured iron sight. there is, because you'd see the sights bob a little when moving. Not unless the head/rifle moved, which they dont in ofp, not when able to put iron sights on anyway.

Weapon able 2 target only air units
Eviscerator replied to -IT-Q-'s topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
You should be able to do this via the threat definitions, although this should really be in the addon and config forums, anyhoo: Type= Â is the category the vehicle/object falls under, and then with the figures in the 'threat[]=' section you define how important it is for the AI to attack it, with 1 being the highest and 0 being the lowest, so to make them only attack air units you're looking at something like: threat[]={0, 0, 1}; or threat[]={0.1, 0.1, 1}; -
Also, as the intel numbers are in roman numerals it would be a PIV, not PIIII
-
Well, its only 1800rpm for the first two shots...the rest are about 600 (in full auto).
-
I think they are jpg, and ridiculously high resolution.
