No, these OPFOR vehicles are something quick and easy to arm our enemy troops, they also suit our enemy forces as they are, they are meant primarily as targets, so we wont be spending as much time as a full project on each vehicle, the BRDM-2 ingame is actually an OT-65, so BIS did get the geometry right, they just got the wrong vehicle. So this will be named an OT-65? Probably not, it will keep the same naming as the BIS vehicle, as i mentioned in the news post it is meant to appear ingame as a modified BIS BRDM, where the hatch on the roof is removed and replaced with a mount for a heavy machine gun. At least then they can be used in conjunction if neccessary.

For the driver sitting on the wrong side all you have to do is move the proxy, and swap it with the passenger, there will be a triangle near each seat, this tells ofp where to place the soldier model, just move those. As for getting rid of the passengers weapon, put this in the CfgWeapons section of your config: hideWeaponsDriver = true; hideWeaponsGunner = true; hideWeaponsCommander = true; hideWeaponsCargo = false; Changing true for the type of person you want to hide weapons for and false for those you want to still display their weapons.

Painstakingly.

Another vehicle we are making for our OPFOR pack is the BRDM-2, although, bear in mind this is not meant to be a realistic representation of the real thing, it is a BIS model edited so that the hatch on the top is removed and a mounting system for a machinegun put in its place, there are other versions of this and the UAZ that we are not showing for several reasons, so for now there is only the Russian vehicles armed with either a DShK or a PK. Also shown is a DShK on a tripod, without sandbags, this is independant from any other addon, therefore needs no other addon to work, it was requested for quite a bit at the time of the Nam Pack release its just that none of us SEB members have had a chance to detach it from the pack since then. There are also several other 'OPFOR' vehicles in development, and im sure you'll hear more about them soon.

M109a(6) rl research questions
Eviscerator replied to shinRaiden's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Not neccessarily, it depends on the ammunition, if its airburst then its designed to be used against infantry and even the lightest of APC's (ie BRDM-2) have protection against it, then again if its a 155x1mm piece of fluff, its not really going to do a lot of damage either. -
There would also be no way to control who got in the co-pilot/spare gunners seat, i think its a lot more unrealistic to have a grunt with no flight time sat at the controls of an MH-60 or sat at the controls of a minigun hes had no training for than just one SOAR pilot and one gunner.
-
Well, theres also the point of people taking the work you may have spent days making, and then rehashing it into something ugly (not talking about this case), or someone then claiming that they made it and taking all the credit, there really is no way to police people in the ofp communities actions other than news sites and community members trying to take a moral stance, and as was suggested, boycotting, ignoring or refusing to host or link to the addon. If addon makers want to release their addons as open source then so be it, but there are some that wont for various reasons, and their wishes should be respected.

Its on its second lot of internal beta, we're just refining the sounds now.

]http://skinmez.150m.com/images/me-109_3.JPG[/img] 1.000 2.000 3.000 4.000 5.000 etc etc... The last LOD is up to you. Maybe 150-700 polys if you have a shitload of LOD's, probably 1000-1500 if you only have 2 or 3... PS: Picture over 100kb, better link it before the mod's sick fluffy bunny or some similar character on you Last LOD should be under 300 so he can have a shadow.

No, i dont know about the scripters, but i dont even have a clue how that would be possible, short of swapping the pilot/co-pilot over midflight.
-
No, it was tried but was found to be unfeasible.
-
We have some MH-47's, although renamed in the RAF style, didnt realise they were black though.

I suppose you are using BHD as a reference for fuel probes, then no they didnt fit them as they didnt need them, same for fuel tanks and auxillary fuel bladders (inserted in the rear of the cabin), you would normally see the fuel probe + fuel tank combo on missions inserting SF deep behind enemy lines, as they were only a few km from the city they obviously didnt need this, they were used in the first (and most likely the second) gulf war, i dont think ive seen any mention of AH-60's used in Somalia, however they were used in the first Gulf War on Scud hunting missions, as for troops it can carry, it would most likely be full of ammunition/fuel in real life, so not much room for troops, and no comment on how many it carries in ofp, you'll have to wait and see. Also the HH-60 comes in various versions (in real life) most of which are in different colours, which one were you referring to? AFAIK there's: HH-60G (USAF CSAR) HH-60L (Medivac) HH-60J (JayHawk, Coastguard) HH-60H (NSW Variant)

Akm74 released beta of bmd3,btr80,bmp3
Eviscerator replied to Viriato's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Yep -
Not really anything we can show...
-
I dont really think the addon maker who created it had realism in mind, as if you look at the tripod its back to front, firing that thing as it is would just tip it over.
-
Maybe Eviscerator has the inside scoop. ;)
-
Maybe if we raised prices to 86 cents a litre *cough* england *cough* we would care about gas consumption. Â And my 2001 Suburban gets 22 mpg on highways, biatch. Â Â its actually more than that, as its about 86p, about $1.20 or so
-
You forgot the M240G on tripod
-
Are you referring to blackdog ? Â Â Â Well...nearly...

Same release date as the MH-6 or MH-60 (whichever is first), but we dont know their release date, so yet again, we'll have to say wait and see. I noticed in another thread people were saying it would be better if we explained why we dont give out release dates, so here we go: We arent paid to make addons, so there are no deadlines, various factors affect when and for how long we can work on addons, be it family/girlfriends/wives/annoying little black puppies, giving release dates is unfair on both the developer of the addon as he is forced to rush, or to work through the night (missing valuable sleep), and its unfair on the community, as it is unbelievably hard to live up to release dates and it only causes disappointment when we dont make the release dates, so this is why we dont say when the addons are going to be released.

Ooh ... how are you planning to do this? As far as I know the rocket launcher is mounted on a Tatra truck. The Finnish Defence Forces also use this launcher ... if you have worked out a good solution, we might be able to share some ideas? Only way to do it would be to code it like a tank, or a static object, but a tank is more preferable obviously as it can move, a few issues raise themselves with this method though, firstly the wheels wont rotateleft/right as the vehicle turns, also the truck will be able to spin on the spot, small problems when faced with the huge plus of having MRL's.

Thats not a KA-52, thats a KA-50-2 Ergodan. Erdogan actually  And that isn't actually the Erdogan..Erdogan is the name given to the version designed to compete for the Turkish army (or air force can't quite remember) attack helicopter contract. The main difference between the Erdogan and the KA-50-2 is that the Erdogan has a tandem cockpit as opposed to a side by side one  It is also equipped with a different cannon (belly mounted as opposed to on the side) and is equipped to carry most modern western weapons you'd expect to see on an attack chopper Meh, close :/
