An alpha what?
-
No its not an old beta, its just a very old mission, it was made for the littlebird release which was about a year or so ago, im sure there will be some kind of new demo mission with the updated littlebirds.
-
As said, we choose what to put in, if you are not happy with what we decide upon you can always add it in yourself.

Vouching for realism, militaryphotos.net has some pictures of SF using ACOGs and M203s together: http://media.militaryphotos.net/photos....d_sfa07 http://media.militaryphotos.net/photos....d=018_G I don't see a leaf sight in the second picture so they must(?) use an alternative method of aiming. Our source on whether or not the M203 is used very often in conjunction with the ACOG is one of our members who is a server member in the US Army (more specifically USAMU), there may be photos of it in the field but it is probably a very rare occurance, or like you said, without the leaf sight.
-
Ehm, why should i do that? Because thats what its there for, if your computer starts to run a little slow slide the slider to lower detail, the blackhawk is a high detailed bird and so of course uses more polygons and better textures than the BIS blackhawks, so you will have to adjust your missions and settings accordingly if you start to encounter slow down with it, however on testing we did with the helicopter prior to release, we found the drop in framerates to be about equal to that of the Apache.

And thats all you're getting! And that includes you TS, show any more and we'll start cutting your fingers off! [image resized/reuploaded]

No, our rangers are equipped with SPEAR Ranger Body Armour and RACK, and wont be changing
-
It wasnt something we forgot, it was something we didnt add in for realism purposes, the ACOG sight interferes with the M203 leaf sight, and would not be used in conjunction like the Reflex sight.

I think itsa the pitiful Photoshop knowledge But dont worry, we've all been there... Right, easy steps: 1. Convert .paa to .tga with texview. 2. Open the .tga in photoshop. 3. Click the channels tab (in a floating box, on the same box as the layers tab) 4. Select paint bucket. 5. Select white (as in the colour white). 6. Fill the dot with white. 7. Save as 32 bit .tga. 8. Convert to .paa and overwrite the old reflex dot. If you want you can also change the colour of the dot (in the layers tab) to something more noticable to your vision.

Soldiers in winter/cold weather gear
Eviscerator replied to Major Fubar's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Er, i dont think we said we would be doing every single team, just that we would be doing quite a few versions. -
There really is no point showing the updated Delta/Rangers, they are going to change a hell of a lot over the next couple of weeks, so whatever you get shown now will probably look a lot different to the final product...

I dont think he did make any very good points, these are all things we have discussed in depth while developing JAM and we are happy with the conclusion we came to. Edit: The 45 round 5.45 RPK mags using the AK-47 sound is a mistake in the coding.

in the real world u cant do much more damage by a 7.62 then a 5.56, the differents between them is that most of the time 7.62 will just go through your body and 5.56 will stay in it when u been shot by a gun 400 meters away...... i even thinks that 5.56 is more effective to disable the fighting ability of a person there's a real difference between the two. The first is it's power to defeat armor. The 7.62 will go through armor a lot easier than 5.56. The second is the range; the 7.62 is lethel on a much longer range than the 5.56 (which also makes the 7.62 the choise for sniperrifles). The third is that while the 7.62 will go through your body and only creates a small hole, the 5.56 starts to tumble and creates a VERY big nasty exit wound and internal dammage. This maked the 5.56 a poison bullet. The 7.62's shockwve on entry is larger than the 5.56 (this shockwave will create a hole in you body the size of a tennisball. This hole will close immediately after the bullet goes through only leaving the small entry wound of the bullet itself, but it's this shockwave-hole that creates internal damage which will kill you) The 7.62 is more capable of putting people down, because of it's great power and the ability to shoot through small trees and still killing the guy behind it. The 5.56 is more capable of messing up your internals, which will not kill you as quickly as the 7.62's shockwave, but is just as deadly. When you want to put peolpe down immediately with one shot use the 7.62. If you "just" twant to kill them, there's no real difference. war is hell Actually the 5.56's tumbling is dependant on how fast its bullet is travelling, some guns do not fire the bullet fast enough for it to tumble on impact, meaning it just goes straight through and the bad guy just keeps on coming, the M4A1 is one of these rifles that cannot fire the SS109 fast enough for it to tumble, which is why special forces in Iraq/Afghanistan are asking for a new round, and why you see M14 DMR's placed in squads (as well as to give longer range), even so, i think the 7.62x51 round is pretty powerful as it is in JAM, it only takes one shot to kill people most of the time, maybe more if you hit them in a less vital spot.

I disagree with pretty much everything you said, i like the RPG, RPK and grenade launchers as they are.

We know, read back, its been mentioned and answered, please dont report bugs that have already been mentioned, they will not be replied to in the future.

Heh, 11 months Nearly exactly infact...

We are aware of the problem with the missions and we are trying to fix it asap, i believe theavonlady has mirrors of our demo missions on her site, i cant actually remember the url but im sure she'll pop in in a minute and you can grab it from her signature... As for new missions there are 5-10 missions converted to use the H-60's here: http://www.ballistic-studios.com/nagual/missions/specops1_33.rar They are both SP and MP missions. We are working hard on a fix to the de/ra to give them jam magazines, once its out we can start converting our old missions to use jam.

Bas ah-1w source code release
Eviscerator replied to Tigershark_BAS's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Dude that chopper is looking great!! erm, it's also in this pack, it's the bll_ah1w.p3d... i've only put the textures on it... Â As said, thats the old model, which we do not want releasing as an addon, there is a .3ds AH-1W model that we were going to use as a final model that is better suited. -
Heh, ok, made the changes but couldnt .bin it, got an error, im working with a hangover and it doesnt seem to be going my way so if anyone else wants to make the changes feel free, just dont copy the soldiers across, just change the weapon loadouts of the soldiers to that used in JAM, and only the non-hd soldiers and specifically only the ones that have bis counterparts, no need to add extra soldiers to the bis config as it could cause conflicts with JAM.
-
Thats not what i need, i need the config.bin decoded, not decoded and split up into several sections and commented on. Just put those splitted up parts into one main config. Not that hard and works without any bugs. I doubt you will find any 100% working decoded configs .. I dont have time to put it all together, i do have other projects to work on, however if someone can get me a fully decoded and complete config then i can spend the 20 minutes making the changes to make the soldiers use JAM weapons.

If someone can get me a decoded 1.91 config then i can do this.
