Just wanted to say that I'm really liking this mission. I changed it a bit, but just to add weapons to the desc file and swapped out the units to test some of my own. Again, thanks for releasing this as SP

Any progress? If not, I need to update them myself as they're getting released this weekend so I can work on something else

Need some help pairing models up with textures.

No there isn't yet. In OFP txtpathswap could open an mlod and you'd have a list of all used textures. Opening up an odol model and just doing a search for .paa or .pac isn't very hard or time consuming at all. I don't see how much easier it could be? -

The easiest way to do it if you cannot figure out what p3d to use based on just the process of elimination is to convert the config.bin in the characters pbo to a config.cpp file. Then look up the unit you know the textures come from. In the specs for that unit it will tell you what p3d it uses. Your best best would be to download an addon thats already been released and replace the appropriate textures in it with the ones you made, at least as a start since it seems like you are very very new to this. Also by doing this you can easily see what you need to do to make your edits a standalone pbo if thats what you are wanting. Or just get a good hex editor, find the p3d you want to use, do a search in the p3d for co.paa to find all the textures you would need to edit and work that way rather than edit a texture and then look for what p3d uses it. -
Thanks They're all really simple and all "work" the same. I just never was able to really polish them and test them well. Also I wanted them to stay really really simple, nothing complex, not much scripting, no multiple objectives, etc. Just something simple to try the units with. Not real mission.

No, it's a very small addon, it's included with this addon, and the breaching charges are way cool. No reason to really. Why would you want it removed?

Crap I can't remember what I changed in the missions. I NEED a mission maker to go over them lol. Maybe someone might be able to take a look at them and help me a bit, lol.

I agree... sorta. I'll probably change them back. When I started them I wanted plain kevlar, but it looked weird since the normal maps were made for helmet covers and had the cloth seams in it. After I got around to finally changing the normal maps to make the helmets smooth it looks great and actually looks like plain kevlar, but doesn't look as nice. I'll add the helmet covers back in,but might keep one unit without them for each side. Thanks for the comment.

Haha, maybe, but once the tools come out there are a lot of other things I'd rather make that others won't

It was a time/filesize vs usefullness in not making Sog units in black pj's or NVA uniforms. It's not like I didn't want to, but if you look at the total number of custom units you'd know why. I couldn't include every single variation for each type of unit of the pack would have been way too big. It's too big as it is. 75 total custom unit models!!! Lol. If you look at the SOG units be happy they really are Sog units and not just some other SF type unit model with Sog as a name. I could have spray painted the OD uniform, like they did but thought 99% of the people would think it was a screwup. At least they have stabo rigging, some have chicom chest rigs, sleeve pockets, etc. I was pretty damn happy with them as the version I did is as accurate as you can get, lol. I just didn't do every variation for every single unit type in the mod. You'd need a SOG only mod to really do them right. Same with the SEALs.

Probably not. Once the tools come out there will probably be a lot of ranger and delta addons. Lol.

Nope. Either create an account or wait for a mirror. Sorry. Edit: First posted edited with a mirror thanks to armed-assault.net

I'll post a beta this weekend in the discussion thread so any bugs can be found before I post it to any real sites. You and your Centcom

Thanks, but I wouldn't go that far I think the texturing is turning out nicely but it really is mostly the engine plus Parvus's eye for camera work and lighting. This engine can make even poorly done reskins look nice. I think once the modeling tools come out you'll see some nicer work.

Haha, yeah I'm around They were all set to be released a couple weeks ago, then I decided to make demo missions for all the different units, now I started editing the normal maps... you know how it goes. Hehe. I can't just stop and be done with them. I won't take too much more time with them. There are woodland, urban, cqb and civi type units, all with 3 mission for each type. Defend, assualt and sniper missions.

Those look pretty good I've been wanting a good multicam for a long time so I can't wait to try these out.

I had started a spreadsheet with all the bullets, shells, rockets mags, weapons etc and how all the values compare, but can't finish it. I started it when I wanted to know the different explosive values for created shells. If anyone wants to mess with it or finish it. http://www.yousendit.com/transfe....67C1A70 It's an Excel 2007 file. -
The eMagin Z800 with the built in head tracking works really really well. The low resolution kinda sucks (800x600) but flying a helo while wearing them is really sweet.

Here are some units I've been working on waiting for the tools. Some have woodland camo which is pretty good I think. All the seams are cut like they should be, some pretty decent shading, etc. I haven't tried making CWR retexs yet as Jahve started them and I have no idea how to actually use the SVN tools yet. Again, just something to keep busy til I get the tools. Might give some ideas for units down the road. http://www.yousendit.com/transfe....E4C556F

Love the tall grass Since it is a model, I wonder if view geo would work on it. Nice work

I'm sure he means the converted demo mission and all needed addon/mod files, not an actual demo.

I haven't checked recently, but have any of these models been uploaded? Or at least the textures? No sense in waiting for the tools if you don't have to for certain things.

I can imagine that people having no idea about what is the game , or what was OFP , and who see the retail box on a store shelve will not be even "appealed" by the cover jacket. When looking at this thing, i appreciate even more the always very good OFP and Resistance covers. Whomever did that design was really really lazy I might work if they pushed the concept a little more. I'm all about minimalism, but come one... maybe add a couple bullet holes or something.

Linker, what menu is that where you show the path lod, and what exactly is it? After all this time I have never seen that menu before. Learn something new all the time.
