So you had an earlier copy of the entry tools? Or is the copy I'm using what is causing the problem?

I don't think it's freak luck, I suspect it's something simple we're not seeing right now. It is odd though.

That is weird. Can you post a screen of your addons folder? Also you HAVE to have the 1.05 patch applied. Could that be it? Edit: Just saw your screenshot shows you do have it installed. The units using the entry tools are the urban units. The other units should work without them. So every single unit is giving an error? If you have all the addons applied plus the 1.05 patch then I'm not sure why it's happening.

You have to install the required addons that are included with the rar. For the addon to work you must install the entry tools addon. It's in the readme, in the download post, etc. For the missions you have to install the addons required for the missions. They are also included in the rar and is pointed out in the readme and the download post. Just read the readme.

I didn't do everything as a lot is based on the basic ARMA addons/textures, so at this point it's about 30% my work vs. 70% BIS, so really it's still mostly BIS work in there. I just used the paa plugin for photoshop that comes with the ARMA tools by Kegetys to edit them. The new normal maps are kinda crappy, but they work. For reskins that won't be used for very long I didn't feel like spending too much time on them. For hex editing I use UltraEdit or Cygnus.

Heck, a day or two should do it. Parvus just sent a nice promo pic I was waiting on to release them, but a day or two of final looks at it won't hurt.

Can someone test this It's the last update before I post it as final. DO NOT HOST OR MIRROR THIS ANYWHERE OR POST ANY NEWS ABOUT THIS UNTIL I POST IT AS COMPLETED. Thanks I should have done that all along. Next time I'll know better Final update before posting in "addons complete" edits: Added Automatic Riflemen Fixed some blood errors Fixed a few small things in the textures Edited the missions a little to try and fix the errors reported above and use some of the newer added units.

Hey, thats why I usually stick to just making addons and not missions I'll try and fix them up as well as a few little things with the textures. Thanks for at least trying out the missions.

After using teacups maya setup to make 10 or so animations a while back I have to say that if the new maya animation tools are as easy to use, then anyone can pick it up and be able to make simple static or simple gestural animations. I had a maya guy at work walk me through making one and after that they were very easy to make. MUCH more than ofpanim. These were just simple animations such as waving arms, pumping fists in the air, and other static anims though. Time consuming but easy. Making new walk, run or any other complex animation would be a nightmare for anyone other than a fulltime animator. I wouldn't suggest it to my worst enemy. Also if you depbo the anim pbo and look at how the anims are setup, named etc, it looks overwhelming. Simply beyond a mere dabblers ability. I thought I'd take a look and see what I could mess around with and just got lost looking at all the files and the config, lol. But good luck with this if you try it. If you do, be prepared to waste countless hours. Just ask Sanctuary

That's a very odd error I haven't seen yet. No one else has mentioned it so I'm interested to see what it is. Since I don't have it I can't really say what it could be. edit: You are updated to 1.05 and do have the extra addons installed correctly?

edit Yep, I messed up and didn't update the actual pbo. I uploaded the fixed rar version to the suckysucky link on the 1st page. I removed the mirror links as well. I'm keeping the rar name the same so it overwrites the old one. Well, thats why it's called beta testing I guess and another reason i didn't want it posted as "news" anywhere. lol.

Don't worry about it. I think I fixed them enough so they aren't broken at least. The missions are just demos to have something to test these with right away. They're not "real" missions.

I have to admit I laugh every single time I see shows or segments like that. There is another one called Jaywalking on a late night talk show that is just like that. Another one that just came out asks people questions on subjects taught to 1-5th grade children. Most contestants fail horribly. For every one person who would know the questions that interviewer asked there are hundreds if not thousands who wouldn't have a clue. I'm pushing 40 and have lived in a few different places here in the U.S. and worked quite a few jobs ranging from oilfield worker to art director in a studio with people of every social class and it never ceases to amaze me at how ignorant the majority of the people here are. It isn't just a class issue. I've worked with many college graduates who wouldn't know many of those questions. I may be jaded, but I say that's a pretty fair representation of the "average" american.

OK, final "beta" link posted in the first post. You need to be patched to 1.05 to use them now due to the new weapons. I'm not going to update the missions any more as they are just to have something to play with quickly that uses these. I'll post these in Addons Complete this week as long as no real issues come up. Edits made. Added back in the hemlet covers for most units. Kept the plain kevlar versions for Demo units. Added a few more classes such as team leaders, more snipers, etc. A full list of units and classnames is now in the readme.

I had this issue once as well. I went into the video options menu and all the type was screwed up. Restarted ARMA and never saw it since. For me it was a weird one time bug, but I have seen it, so it's not just you -

I was going to release them this weekend, and they're done, but ran into a few snags. Sometime this week, my guess would be Thursday.

If you depbo the new 105 weapons you can see the m107 somehow uses proxys. There are 3 proxy models in there and if you look IN the m107 model in a hex editor you can see those proxys are defined, but how you'd make new ones without the new tools is beyond me, but I bet someone will try

You do know that the crack sound you hear "10 meters away" is not the sound of the weapon fire but the sound of the bullet going by your head right?
