How Satisfied with Arma2 Are you??

Not my job. It's yours(you sound like you work here) How many patches since release ? How many beta patches ? Sounds to me like you delivered an unfinished buggy game to me (that is what I mean by badly coded). If I pay money for a product, I expect that product to work as advertised. It does not. Whining and complaining about how your job is sooooo complicated receives no sympathy from me. The solution would have been simple, hold the product back until it's finished. But instead, you went for the money and released a beta with plans to fix later. Now you have to deal with the fallout, such as it is. Although if you want, you can deliver the source code to me and I can see what I can do. No ? Didn't think so. Btw, I have the game. I've played what I could until bugs and poor performance pissed me off. And this game has sooo much potential. So much that impresses. But it is not finished. It was released in a state similar to the state that ARMA 1 was in. It has alot of the same bugs that ARMA 1 had - and were patched out eventually (I mean WTF ?). If this was just another point and click shooter, I wouldn't care. But alot of people were looking foward to this for the exact reasons you listed. And they got a rushed unfinished product that repeats the pattern of the first game. Personally, I'm not going to shut up for two years like I did with ARMA 1 ,and wait for this one to be finished. As for Bulldogs, " But then again, I have cognative thought.". Sounds to me like your calling him an idiot. Pot, meet kettle. Probably shouldn't have called you and the devs morons, But calling someone an idiot for having a legitimate complaint annoys me. As for the devs, they are obviously not morons, they just made some really bad decisions concerning the state the game was released in. And they should in no way be let off the hook since they are charging money for this product.

Wow, you really are thick, aren't you. Nobody gives a shit if you can play the game or not. People have reported game breaking problems, with nothing but placebo solutions. Some people didn't plunk down $50 bucks to play the game in 2 years, or to be unpaid beta testers, they have the right to complain anywhere and anytime they wish. The latest patch even broke the game more for fucks sake. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised that you would be defending the devs. Morons usually do defend morons.

This will be a great game when it's finished. But it's not. Too many performance issues and campaign bugs. I still say give it another 2 years when hardware catches up, just like ARMA 1. Tweaks and user side optimizations are just placebo(in my experience). The coding itself needs to be cleaned up a hell of alot better than they are doing right now. The current fanboy mindset seems to be to blame the hardware, I've seen someone actually saying that 55c is hot for a video card. Grasping at straws. ARMA 2 has NOTHING that will tax a video card to the point of failure (unless that particular card is heavily overclocked and unstable.) It's the game, not the hardware. When they get around to finishing the game, it will be awesome. Until then, enjoy having paid them to be a beta tester. It should be finished by the time ARMA 3 comes out (which will probably be another buggy mess). Sound familiar ?

Nothing wrong with your processor. It's enough for ANYTHING out there, except for Arma 2. Thats the dev's fault, not yours or the hardware makers. Badly coded is badly coded, It's not the hardware makers job to make their products fit for the programs, but the other way around. Something that BIS and alot of the fanboys can't get through their heads, seems like blaming your hardware is a common response to a buggy unfinished game.

    NEW! Ati Drivers 9.8

QFT, the problem is NOT hardware related, it's a coding problem. 1 of many. The only ones that can fix the game are BIS. When the game is finally fixed in 2 years, it will be dated. Not "godlike". IDIOT.

    1.03 frustrations

How about BIS not foisting unfinished product on their customers. Product which it would be almost impossible to not know of the problems. Thats unless they only tested it on 1 machine. They had their chance when the game was in development. And 3 more chances on top of that and they did NOTHING. Better off waiting until ArmA 2 v1.16, when future hardware can run this pile and then BIS can pat each other on the back and say it was their patch. Heres a clue BIS, OPTIMIZE the damn game. There is no way a game that looks and plays like this should be such a freaking resource hog. The graphics are nothing to write home about and a hardcore flight sim has more stuff to keep track of CPU wise.

    Arma 2 - For real?

If I had bad curry, that restaurant had better not expect me to pay, or they'd be getting a visit from the local health authority. BIS is getting off lightly, releasing an unfinished game and all. AND having the balls to charge full price.
  8. Still buggy, still unoptimized, still unfinished. If you want to spend $50.00 for an editor, go ahead. For $50.00 , I expect the game to work as advertized. Wait 2 years, then buy it. Wish I would have done that for ARMA 1.
  9. I've given up as well. Just like I did with Arma 1. Funny thing is I just started Arma 1 again and it runs good, it just looks dated. It looks like a 2-3 year old game. I actually dont think any patch fixed it, I think the fact that I've upgraded twice since Arma was new is the reason it runs better. My hardware became enough to run that pile of garbage. Just think, when hardware catches up and we all have super computers to run this steaming pile of shit, we can enjoy a dated 2 year old game that looks like ass. Good job BIS, heres one 'beta tester' thats telling everyone he knows and anyone I find considering buying this trash to stay very far away. Substandard production and foisting unfinished products on your customers should not be rewarded with any kind of loyalty. I made the mistake of buying your first unfinished, unoptimized heap of dung (Arma 1, I missed the fun and games with OFP). I foolishly thought you would have learned and bought Arma 2. Never again.
  10. I'm with the fanboys- oops, I mean senior members. How dare you expect a finished and playable game for $50.00. These devs have it tough. You can't expect them to do their job and release a finished product when there's cash to be grabbed. Do you know how much time it takes to close all those nasty little vertices and polygons ? A proper beta test would take too much time, best to let the paying customer beta test it for you, two birds with one stone and all that crap. They'll release a patch (which may or may not fix your issues) in their own sweet time, but first they have to get started on ARMA 3. But if the patch does'nt fix anything, they can always blame the hard ware vendors. I mean really, its not as if programmers should be programming for the hardware- the vendors should be writing drivers for the applications. Hellooo, real world here. <sarcasm off>
  11. Arma 2 will eventually run well, just like ARMA. Probably in 2 years, just like ARMA. Face it people, we are the beta team, just like we were in ARMA. Unfinished, unoptimized and buggy perfectly describes the current state of the game. No amount of awesome features the game has will change this fact. I've seen console ports with better optimization than ARMA 2. This does not take away from the fact that ARMA 2 could be a great game. The scope and depth are very impressive, but it runs like crap. Fact. I expect it to be up to par when : 1. 4.0Ghz cpus are the norm and 2. about a month before ARMA 3 comes out.
  12. Co-Op offers teamwork against an opposing force made up of retards and mental defectives(A.I. I mean). I find and have found absolutely NO challenge in co-op. An OPFOR made up of thinking, adaptable people will always challenge you more than the mindless drill running of standard co-op against the moving target drones of the A.I. PvP can be done right. Evolution would be amazing if you could join the OPFOR. Face it ,even co-op the way it is now has it's fair share of idiots. I don't think Pvp will bring anymore. The realism of this series will keep out the hardcore run 'n gun FPS mouthbreathers anyways. IMHO, YMMV

    Your Feedback on Queen's Gambit

Liked Royal Flush. The Ramadi(sp?) campaign is garbage. When you have to assault the town, your squad is taken out almost right when you step off the chopper, the weapon they give you is shit. What good is a scope if it's non-functional. I had a great weapon from the last mission. Why couldn't I keep that ? Whats left of my squad wont engage anything, they just crawl around ignoring orders. Could I get some of the other sides spec ops? Just leave my retard squad dead in a ditch.
  14. Manual fire, hmm. I knew it was something simple. Thanks. Time to get back on the short bus
  15. Whenever I have rockets armed, more often than not, they wont fire. I hit the trigger and all I get is a voice going: "fire","cease fire","fire",cease fire". What the hell ? Lined up for a shot and they wont shoot. How do you make the chopper fire when you tell it to ? Is it the gunner AI's fault ? How do you make him do as he's told ?
