The thread wasn't really meant for people to argue about something else. Just asking what specs are required to get high above and beyond max settings in large scale pvp.

So essentially the technology or the know how to take advantage of it just isn't out there is what youre sayin. *edit* actually there probably are some crazy processors out there.. they shoulda offered that with my alienware to begin with :(. I wonder what kinda specs could handle everthing in arma with ease.

I got my second graphics card working and tried putting HD resolution to 200% and my games graphics got very messed up. Even after restarting it stayed too messed up to change the settings. I uninstalled and redownloaded on steam but it is still like that. How can I fix this?

Hi when I have my graphics settings on normal my mouse moves extremely fast/instantaneous. When I have them maxed out (which my computer handles great), my mouse has a lot of lag/slow response time. Why? I have this problem and can't get it working. I tried the BEsetup in steam apps and also creating a battleye folder. I tried to download battleye from their site but they only have 32 bit for download and I have C:\Program Files (x86) which means not 32 bit right? So what do I do?

How am I supposed to update my game if I bought it on steam? I can't join the multiplayer server I want to get in.

When in Arma 2 the light is flickering and changing brightness. Sometimes the light will be as bright as possible and I can't see anything at all for like 10 seconds or less and this happens often. And with my nightvision its usually so dark its very difficult to even be competitive. So night time games arent very playable. Also, I have shadows like in tree lines glitching on and off really fast. I have 2 ATI Radeon HD 5900 series cards and new alienware computer so everything is totally maxed out.

I did these and there was no change... You are talking about the video memory in the video options right? Does anyone know anything else I can do for this?

Guys, I still have this problem... I havent gotten an answer to these. I cant even get into the game at all now after i turned 3d setting to 200 percent not knowing what it was...

My screen goes completely white for no reason nothing to do with the sun and im blinded and it fades away. and my brightness is flickering rapidly from darker to brighter... and when using nightvision its very very dark too dark to play decently. im not talking about getting blinding from looking at a light with night vision......

Ok will some1 tell me how to get the latest version of these skins working client side in multiplayer? Most of the links in this thread dont work. Theres also like 20 pages of crap to read through.

Does anyone have any really good custom camo faces/packs that others can see in multiplayer? No fake stuff like terminator faces or skeleton faces only realistic.

What should I do if the game does not allow me to enable my hardware acceleration? I have a soundblaster audigy 2z sound card. No clue why I can't. suggestions?

HW sound acceleration only works if your sound card supports at least 64 simultaneous sound channels. Well does the soundblaster audigy 2z support 64 channels? Nobody has really attempted to answer my question I hope someone does .......... I want to have the best sound I can.

I think id rather have it on because i cant hear the direction of the crackling of gunfire as well apparently because of this.
