    Hacks & Cheating..

Ask the SES admin if you don't believe me. I admitted to running a pirated version of the game before I bought it, who doesn't? but that's another discussion. Lolsav was the guy who kicked(banned?) matt rochelle ask him if you don't believe me. I posted his name because I found it hilarious he'd post in a cheating thread condemning the very actions he himself commited. I play on SES server all the time, infact it's nearly the only server I play on so you can ask the admins there if you feel the need to call my reputation into question. If you have any other unwarranted attacks on me pls send me a private message. Thanks in advance Mr. Trollblaster

    Hacks & Cheating..

I've seen players hop in vehicles and take off without having the rank for it or using AI to drive them in even the newest Evolution release. Just the other night a guy by the name of Matt Rochelle was kicked(banned?) from the SES server for mysteriously doubling his score every couple minutes(150-300-600). I really don't understand the mentality of someone who feels the need to cheat in a coop.. kind of defeats the purpose no? Some kind of detection system is definately warranted here.

    Offical Email from ATARI/Digital River

I have the Atari Download version of the game and I have been playing the 1.07beta just fine for some time. I just learned recently about the 1.07 hotfix and applied it to my game. Now whenever I try to start the game to play with the beta it demands I re-register the game and when I try to input my serial # or unlock code it tells me they are invalid.. Sent an email to Atari and they responded promptly that I should direct my problem to Digital River. So I sent an email to them, still no response.. This is ridiculous given I had the pyrite edition of the game running with less dificulties than my legit copy. Moral of the story is don't waste your money on Digital Downloads. The support is a joke

Evolution V1.0 Large scale respawn coop

Well I would suggest a scaled reward system for the mission based on distance to reduce exploitation. Enemy soldiers for the same reason, else it would be too easy. Maybe only enemy soldiers for higher ranked vehicles. IE cobra/harriers/abrams. Mission points would be awarded on safe return of the vehicle to base of course. Otherwise you'd have people crashing at the farps and laughing all the way to the bank. So missions would only be dispensed to those with rank to fly/drive the vehicle, more likely the person who crashed it. Should make the people wanting some responsibility happy.

Something else I was thinking of as far as recovery goes. I think we all agree recovering a vehicle is usually a pain in the ass. What if you added a recovery mission to the mission dispenser. Base the points on how far the vehicle is and maybe spawn some enemy on it to make it a real challenge. You can rationalize it like.. friendly blackhawk down, enemy troops dispatched to comb wreckage, recover blackhawk and eliminate all hostile targets. Might improve the support role a bit.

I haven't done any scripting for arma so excuse my ignorance, but wouldn't it be possible to keep the vehicles in their current incarnation? I mean leave the vehicles in the places they are currently and set them to be locked with no owner. The player could then 'purchase' with X amount of points the rights to the vehicle. You would then assign them owner of the vehicle and they could unlock it and fly/drive. In the event that they crash the vehicle it respawns to it's original location at base locked once again until someone purchases the right to unlock, same player or someone else. This way you'll never have more than 2 cobras or 2 gbus up in the air. It would also be an effective means of score mitigation, we would no longer see players with scores of 300+. Also people would be much more careful how they used the vehicles because it would be costing them points to gain access. Of course that option removes the need for support units. Alternatively you could have the vehicle respawn damaged in the field, as it currently does, requiring repair and refuel and the player wishing to pilot/drive it could select the 'pay to unlock' option right at the recovered vehicle and be off.

another Idea I had I forgot to post. For realism if the drivers of apc/tanks were restricted to mp5/ak-74u weapons and pilots should only get m9's. maybe helo pilots with mp5s. If they want weapons when they get to where they're going store em in the gear selection of the vehicle. Just sayin cause I can't imagine how you'd drive an abrams with a m240/163 strapped to your back

First off thanks for the great mission Kiljoy, was the first mp game for arma I played and still takes up much of my time. One thing I'd like to see in game is a little love for the medic. As it stands the medic class is mostly inconsequential as it's easier to just die and respawn than get patched up. I think a system where respawning as we know it is removed and replaced by a new system. For example if you get heavily wounded in combat you fall to the ground incapacitated and put in a call for a medic. You have X number of minutes/seconds to be patched up by a medic until you die. If you aren't patched up by a medic you die and respawn at base with a loss of points. For real hardcore realism you could have total loss of points on death, but that might not be for everyone Also a drag script or carry player script would work well here. IE a squadmate could drag/carry a wounded buddy back to a medic or a medevac point. Just a thought, and keep up the good work

    Mouse Lag

I have a problem in-game where when I hold down a key, be it 'w' to run forward or 'shift' to walk 'q' or 'e' to lean or seemingly any other key on my keyboard I get terrible mouse lag. By which I mean my movements from the mouse, aiming, turning etc are delayed and hugely exaggerated. If I move my mouse a little to the left to turn left my soldier may turn 180 degrees or more. By the time this starts happening I try to 'counter steer' it and swings an inordinate amount to the right. I've tested this with holding no buttons down on my keyboard and looking/aiming around and the movements respond as they should. This started happening only recently, in the past 2 days, and hadn't happened at all in the past. I've made no recent changes to my system and I'm running the most up to date drivers. I do use a cordless mouse but I also tested with my wired mouse and I got the same results. Has anyone else had this problem?
