can anyone explain why I seem to get 180 fps on the rolling demo screen but only manage 23fps in game? And even though fraps will show various frame rates after I change the settings nothing actually affects it up or down? i7 920 overclocked 2.8 6 gb of ram gtx 295 win 7 64

Hi all looking for some advice here, like most of you I am doing my best to maximise my pc in order to play Arma 2. But I am a complete noob when it comes to the likes of config changes etc. I was wondering if someone could be so kind as to advise me on how to get the most from my system and explain from the ground on up the config changes. I7920 266 overclocked to 288ghz 6 gig of ram nvidia gtx 295 I am using al the latest drivers thanks in advance

I have spent more time fucking about with settings, patches, reboots, clean installs, various operating systems, vista32, win7, vista 64, all for nothing, it all boils down to the fact that this game has been rushed out and shipped not fit for retail. I have no motivation to attempt the Manhattan campaign mission ever again after 6 complete restarts on the singleplayer campaign. Having the audacity to announce expansion packs for a broken game is a bit too much. Fix ARMA 2 please

Pray to which ever god you believe in. My framerate has now dropped from 24 to 11 after a win7 rc install.

installed windows 7 rc and it has toally fucked this up, my 24 fps has now fropped to 8-11. this game is so annoying

Ok I will give this a go, currently getting windows 7 rc,

same for me its ridiculous and the only pc game I have ever experienced where logic doesnt solve anything. The code is broken end of story, its like trying to apply a band aid on a severed leg with these pathetic patches.

it is a joke that no matter what you do you get no improvement in fps in singleplayer, apart from a drop in fps. I have spent more time trying to improve my experience through adjusting settings than playing the game.

face the facts this game isnt fit for a retail release in this state. If I am wrong check the responses in the votes of people unhappy with it. My point about flashpoint 2 is one based on a game that will be finished and fit for retail. In all my years of pc gaming I have never come across something so broken and bugged, say what you will but it's a fact.

After building a new gaming rig especially for this, with 6 gigs of ram and an i920 0verclocked 3.3ghz, gtx 295 I find it a disgrace that the code is so broken in so many ways. I am fed up of frames dropping to unplayable levels, gaming bugs that have ruined the game, Before patch 1.03 I did the Manhattan mission 5 times only for all my saves to be wiped. This is a faulty product and shouldnt have been released in this state Dare I say it but Operation Flashpoint 2 might have the last laugh here

Hi guys I am new here and look forward to enjoying the forum. I built a new rig for this and like all other Nvidia gtx295 owners am getting nothing over 25 fps. Nothing changes if I run everything on very high, or low, or change the resolution etc in the singleplayer campaign. In city areas it can drop to 11 for no reason. AA, texture detail, post process effects, nothing makes any difference if these are reduced. The opening titles run in 80-100 fps in fraps I have tried all new drivers and renaming the exe file to crysis.exe. I am totally at a loss and fed up. I am running an i7920, overclocked 3.3 6 gig of ram and vista 32. Any help would be really appreciated.
