    Blue Screen Of Death

Thank you so much Bergmania! That should help me see if this is indeed a device driver issue or sound card issue or some other reason.

    Blue Screen Of Death

I already did that not long ago with the new forceware drivers that came out. I used driver cleaner and reg cleaner.

    Blue Screen Of Death

I also have this same problem. At random times the game just crashes to a BSOD for a fraction of a second then my PC reboots on its own. Every time it loads back to the desktop it says "windows recovered from a serious error" and when i send the error report it always says "error caused by device driver."

Anyone else using TrackIR in Arma

I'm having problem with my TrackIR. The screen shakes when I try and look left and right. Something needs to be calibrated I think. Not sure what's wrong, any ideas? Edit: Never mind. Fixed it. Had to reduce the light filtering option

    Polarized opinions about Armed Assault

There are bugs in it, yes, but in my opinion it will never be what OFP was. OFP was king and still is king of military sims. ArmA feels too "arcade-like" in the single player campaign. Despite the devs honest attempt at linking missions together, it feels completely disjointed and does not flow at all. They've watered it down in that respect and also took out a lot of vehicles that were present in OFP like the T-80, Bradley, MI-24, other versions of the BMP, etc. You may want to get it and play it to experience it for yourself; however, don't expect this to be equal to or better than what OFP was back during its prime.

    Zoom out while in vehicles?

The only real annoying consequence to doing that is when you switch to iron sights, it's maxed zoomed out. You'll have to hold down the right mouse button (or fiddle with the other zoom keys on the numpad) in order to use the iron sight to its fullest potential. I have no idea how to rebind the key back to TrackIR except by selecting "Default". Unfortunately that'll wipe out all the other re-bindings I have done /Edit: In order to rebind it, you have to drag "TrackIR+tz" from the binding menu.

    Zoom out while in vehicles?

You have to rebind the default setting for one of the zoom options. It's default is set to "trackIR." Once you get rid of it, you will be max zoomed out by default when going into vehicles.

    Helicopter Flight Model

Thanks for the idea! I'll give that a shot.

    Helicopter Flight Model

I don't think OFP's flight model was more realistic, but at least I was able to turn left and right while flying forward at high speeds. I can't do that at all in ArmA. The best flight model I have EVERY experienced was the Cobra in Battlefield 2. Now that was some good stuff.

    Helicopter Flight Model

Have you played Operation Flashpoint? Do you not notice the huge difference in the helicopter flight models between ArmA and OFP? Just curious. And thank you ofpforum for pointing out the search function (if not too bluntly).

    Helicopter Flight Model

(Please note, I found no "search" function in these forums so I was unable to try and locate any existing thread regarding this issue. If there is an existing thread, please point me to it so I may post there, thank you) I have a very simple question to all. How do you turn a helicopter in the game traveling at speeds in excess of 50 mph? When I bank left or right it does not turn so I am forced to treat the chopper as a fixed-wing aircraft by banking at steep angles and pulling up. Unfortunately, this tactic bleeds of tremendous speed and altitude so it is ineffective. Will the helicopter flight models be fixed in a future patch? They are essentially inoperable to me until they are addressed. Anybody else know what I am talking about?
