Been working on improving the StarGate mod models, i know the mod's not everyones cup of tea but ArmA's the perfect engine for its development. -
One word, Textures... Very detailed textures... the 40+ scripts don't take up much room at all.

1. It been mentioned before but please include the ability the save and load data to/from a file (i.e. string >> .txt). 2. Please give us away of connecting directly to a server via a scripting command (i.e. 'serverjoin (192.145.7.11)' (being able to bypass the player selection screen would be helpful as well (i.e. random unit on joining a server). These would really help the StarGate Addons and i can imagine many more.

The models are slowly being created as i have alot on my plate with this mod at the moment, we'll have the 3 camo's and hopefull dress and assorted headgear.

I had the same problem with one of my animations, the only was i fixed it was making my object inherit from 'StaticWeapon', the use the nameas to make it appear as something else. I think creating the animation in oxygen will fix this problem but remains untested. so try this: class CfgVehicles { class staticweapon; class SmallGateW : staticweapon {

I'm slowly improving the looks and effects of the gate one by one, the splash is the next on my list; so hopefully the next clip i show will be of my progress there. As for the transparent water, it really depends on the episode you watch; i think i'll turn it down a little but it defiently looks better in game. -

Febuary 2007: We've began to get the gates working in ArmA, heres a new screeny. --------------------------------------- Were starting to port the ofp stargate into ArmA, we've gone as far as we can with the new models but need oxygen 2 to finish them. The Earth gates use a diffrent sort of dialing using a base computer so dial slower (the keyboard you saw is can be manually used as well). The wormhole effect is part of the addon (ingame) but will be updated before the first beta. If anyone thinks of any cool functions you'd like to see in the gates then post it here and i'll give it a shot. -
