At first, I plan to fix all the bridges and fords. It seems that this is not so easy task :-)) At second, I do permanently update of infrastructure - the schools, the shops, electric substations. Last version - 1.1, february 2016, version notes. The 5x5 km map represents a fiction terrain, "located" in the city of Sevastopol, Crimea. The real prototype of this map is the cape Chersones that was the last stand of the heroic defence of Sevastopol in 1942. Landscape of the real terrain is fairly flat, so i decided to make a fiction one with semantic references to the real cape and in the same time - little more gameplay-friendly. Screenshots: II. Features. The satmap are 99.9% hanmade or procedural generated. No google-boogle maps used, only the graphic tablet and some magic with height- and errosion maps, generated in WorldMachine. There are also some custom assets on the island - military bliiboards, stela and old abandoned ww2-era caponier. Added in v.1.1 - storage hangar "AS-Salute", referencing map cs_assautl; surveying signal towers. III. Balance. This map balanced for asymmetrical battles for the commanding heights, so feel free to make missions with combined-arms action. V. License. There is no restrictions to use this content under any non-commercial purpose (including any game-servers) as long as the original content not modified nor separated. VI. Notes. - If you has used any earlyer version of this mod (for example "Cossac cape WIP" from the one of initial builds of the VTN mod) - make sure that you deleted this to prevent versions conflict; - pay attention that you can't launch Steam version of the mod directly from the Arma3 shortcut. Use Arma3Launcher instead, or download non-steam version of Cossac cape. VII. Credits. Can you note which exactly bridges have problems with crossing it by the AI? Take some screenshots of the map if this is possible. I was sure that I have tested all the bridges and fords. If not - I will fix it ASAP. -

I am planning to make this airstrip usable and maybe make another one on the west side of the map. It would not be an airport literally, it would be a small dirt airstrip(s?) for agricultural planes. Of course, it would be usable for military crafts, for emergency landing for example. -

Steam version updated. Beketov, version 0.89b FIXED: compatibility with dedicated servers (some missed bisigns added); FIXED: some minor bugs reported by fingolfin, shurka and others; FIXED: removed unnecessary dependency of the "CUP Terrains - Maps", only the "CUP Terrains - Core" is enough now. Steam users will get an update automatically. -

Not sure this map will be suitable for Novorossian setting. There is several differences between south Russian and central Russian vegetation. Southern nature is rich of poplars, thuja and other warm-loving threes https://www.gismeteo.ru/static/news/img/src/14374/2bca101a.jpgThe central Russian nature is more filled with birches, spruces, pines. Especially - birches :-) The same is for agricultures. Often the next village starts right where the previous ends. Central Russian country landscape is less compact - there is most likely several kilometers between the villages. There is some more differences between central and south-Russian landscape. On the other hand, In general, this may be not significant differences for the western user (and many of inattentive Russian/Ukrainian users too, lol). If do you think that details is not so important as the "general impression" is - feel free to use Beketov to reenact Ukrainian conflict, no problem :-)) BTW, a good Ukrainian landscape is in the Iron Front game.
