  1. Just a suggestion, could not the map tools be added to a module. This would make updating older missions alot more easer.
  2. Ok I know we had this problem with OFP and it's been a long time since I made missions. But when saving a mission I get the % sign between each word in the name of the mission (i.e. Wild%Card):butbut:. Can anyone remember the reason and cure for this. Thanks

    Patch 1.05 suggestions

    The UH-1y has a copilot, but the MV-22 and the C-130J do not. This needs to be added so when making mission with a ai controlled plane and you place people in cargo they do not end up as copilot.

    Just click on options and then the video. The block on the upper left side is it. Click on it and select English and save the settings. Then exit the game and restart it.

    I think there should be some kind of sticky topic for such as this. A place you can post request's like this after you have tried to e-mail and PM mod/addon makers about upgrading their original addons and such. I feel you have done the right thing by e-mailing and PMing the owner requesting permission for your upgrade. If you do not receive a reply in 48hrs of the e-mail or PM, you should make a post such as this with the addon name and maker. This way if he is unable to receive e-mail or PMs, he may see it and be able to post his ok or objections. Just my 2cents worth.
  7. Yep...you got the same results that I did. If we just had the option to use the Landing Autopilot in the waypoint or aircraft init. we would have the problem solved. It seems the Su-34/34B, AV-8B and the AV-8B(GBU) have the autopilot fixed. It even works with the Be-32K. Of course I could only test this with a human controlling the aircraft. I set up a quick mission in the editor, with the plane way west of the airbase. As soon as the missions started, click the Landing Autopilot and rode the planes into a great stright in landing (no having to go around). The command has to be somewhere, just got to start digging for it.
  8. I have been working on a mission that requires the AI to land at an airbase the first try. Checked out the wiki and did a search with know luck for autopilot. Is there a action for autopilot that can be placed in the init. It gives the ["LAND", <target>] , but that seems not to work. Any ideas.

    ArmA Progress Updates

    I would like to see a "Script Library". This would be a folder that you could place all the script's you collect. You could give them a short name such as "ParaSup" for parachute tesupply. Then in the mission editor have a drop down box for scripts and select the one you want. This way it would add the information to the mission and save you from having to place copies of scripts in each mission, the editor would do this for you. Something like this would save time for mission builders.
  11. Sorry about the name mixup EFeKT, why I didn't connect it to the clan I cant say, yea I can old age. Â I have lots of those stories, I spent 12 years in the USMC. Â I've seen alot and heard alot.
  12. Platoon here is another for you. His room mate flew the CH-46 and while on a shortie he was to fly from DaNang to a ship off the coast and pickup some equipment. He said you had to fly a box pattern around known hotspots. This flight pattern took forever. As he got within sight of the coast he stated that all of a sudden the chopper did a hard turn to port (left) and was flying sideways for a few seconds. The next thing the knew was the crewchief was yelling at him " We have a #&%$!& rocket sticking in the port (left) side of the ship". To make a long story short the ship would not let them land there, so they had to turnaround and make the long flight back to DaNang hoping the thing didn't explode. After landing and doing a quick bail and run job. EOD showed up and removed it and told them it was a dude. He said all it did was puncture the skin and aged him about 30 years.
  13. Let me tell you a short story about luck and leading aircraft for ground fire. A friend of mine was a UH-l pilot during or should I say before Vietnam. He was an advisor. He was flying a squad of S. Vietnam soldiers into a LZ and once he landed them, he looked out the side window. He said a VC solder walked out of the treeline. Pointed his AK at him and then took it out of his shoulder and looked at the butt of the AK. Lifted it back up and point way out in front of his chopper and shot. The S. Vietnam solders shot him and gave his AK to my friend. He said he looked at the butt and there was a metal plate with a picture of a UH-l and a line drawn out in front of it showing how far to lead them when firing. I asked him once about ground fire and he stated its more like a golden bebe. At times he said he could walk on all the rounds coming up at him and land and not have a single bullet hole in the chopper. But other times land and have four or five from a single pass.

    Scripting

    What I would like to see in scripting is a drop down menu in all units, triggers and waypoints to select a script.  Have the menu direct to a folder in the game so you only have to place the script in the folder once and then just select it in the drop down menu.  May be even 2 drop downs. One for action and the other the menu. Example:    Action: Death   Script: Scream Just a thought.
