The snow addon is a simple (well almost simple) texture change, nothing more. Thus it does not affect vehicles.

Have you played the game recently? With latest upgrades that is. I played a combatzone ladder match with 10 ppl, 5/team and it didnt lag much (all pings around 50). It only lagged once for about 1 min, but only for me. I was dragged 1000m when run over by an invisible truck... After that, no more lag the entire game. You must have a bad line.

Post your specs. Do you have an 1.9ghz Athlon or a 100mhz Pentium? What?

Never seem to be correct for me. The easiest way is just to pick one, if the time is >20 mins, wait (and do NOT start talking alot), if the time is <10 mins, find another. If it something in between its your choice.

Yeah, join a squad thats the best thing. I did and I aint sorry about it. Im a proud member, ranked "potato peeler" (which I probably shouldnt have mentioned), of Operation Flashpoint Kompaniet, OFK, commonly just known as Kompaniet. Have to be Swede (aka Svenne) to join though. And it help to have a nonkrasching computer.

Dont use ingame voice chat. Use RW or something like it. The ingame voice chat just hogs down the game.

Urban Warrior, it doesnt help asking when when you dont say where you you are... Yesterday at about 9-10 (morning), I was on a server where half the people quit and said goodnight... It was an american server I think. I can log on anytime anywhere, look for [OFK]Dawdler if you want to play, but I doubt youll find me.

I have heard it (I was one of the responders that complained on bullet drops), but it could still be fake, thats not hard to mix together. I hope it isnt, but I want news, and I want it now!

MODIFIABLE QUICK COMMANDS!!!! A simple addition in the user config file that say: KEY "F" == "roger.wss" or something. Then you press F and your soldier say "Roger" All the others like "Negative", "Danger" and such. And one that say "Medic! Position FG23" so the medic knows where you are, without having to guide him on the map.

That was the first thing I also though since I have had an IRQ problem before with another computer. Live! (yes, with a VIA, and no Im not crazy), Gforce and ethernet card are on seperate IRQs. 3, 7, and 11 to be exact. The only IRQ being shared is the USB controller with the ethernet card. And I have tried disabling it, without success. And btw, if it was an IRQ thing, how can Windows 98 crash in the install? If the bios IRQ settings where wrong, I think the cards would simply not work at all.

OFP does not need truform. It looks perfect anway. And if ATI SAY it is easy it doesnt mean it IS. It might for example conflict with the LOD type technology in OFP, I dont know. I dont have a Radeon, so I dont care. -EDIT- Trees and bushes? Mine started locking up about 2 weeks ago (running perfectly for almost 2 years now). Mouse locks, keyboard locks, computer MAY still run (not always). But it happens TOTALLY random. Had it running 8 hours... restarted, krasched after 1 min (still in windows). Restarted, krasched after 10 min. Restarted, did not krasch for 2 hours of play, then I turned it of. Random? I say... NO overclocking or anything whatsoever. Original drivers that came with it. Doing ye olde FORMAT C: Works perfectly for 2 days (including OFP MP). Then it krasches 4 restarts in a row. Back to FORMAT C: Krasch during Windows (98) setup... Ehrm... Been working good since though, after installing VIA 4in1 in safe mode. Question is, for how long? Youre lucky. I am very curious how the win98 setup can crasch (exactly the same type of crasch as the other)... Ive checked the bios and nothing seems odd.
