    Mission requests and ideas

    I know of MFcti which to me is a slower paced cti with nice mortar scripts. & The conversion Mfcti44 which is MFCTI with ww2 units and other good and revised scripts. Crcti to me seems a bit more fast paced with easy command menus and ai know what there doing like sending orders if your playing coop. Doolittle cti wich is very seldomly used multiplayer, but has nice features. CTITC is just I think a cti based on crcti code with tweaks for H2H competitions. "hint the name CTITC" capture the island turnament competition. It also has it's own webpage with a bunch of m8s playing tournaments. Also theres alot of conversions which just use the base code of mfcti, crcti, ect to use them with mods like wwii units, vietnam, yugototalwar, BW, PLA@US, USdvd. In short, theres alot of varieties and you just have to play the one you like the most! The XR addon page is a really great place to start ;)

    I read on the ofp 2 info page that they were making it less realisitic for "fairness". This was from the developers I guess it looked like. Arma's ofp1 retarded half brother, Arma 2's ofp1 is ofp's real brother. & Ofp 2 is being created in a lab from ofp's dna. lol
  8. MCM is incorporated with slx 1.1, so it uses it's effects. The tanks using smoke is from grouplink. All you got to do is find the gl3settings.sqs. Should be in your MCM folder, and open it up in wordpad. Then if you scroll on down you will see Erace the // where it says tanks launch smoke and put it as 0. make sure to comment out the //. so I think it should look like this. Then save. Goodluck. // Used to disable smoke launching on tanks and APC's. Smoke is enabled by default. SLX_NoSmoke = 0;

    Realistic armor combat mod?

    Plz correct me if im wrong ,but Battleground europe is the only game with the most realilstic armour penatration and crew killing. Ofp has a good default system, but slx makes it unique with gun failure, fuel leaks, fires. Ecp adds rotor failure to helos wich is interesting. The first mod I was going to say was Lib mod lol, because I read they incorporated alot of features & what not.

  11. I had and have alot of fun playing DAC. Dynamic ai config I think. Its kinda complicated to make your own missions at first but you get the hang of it with a nice manual when you download it. It has alot of ai enhancements. Ai Take cover, use buildings, use empty vehicle or static guns, Use smoke , use suppression if use the rommel script in it, share information of the enemy and so forth. LOL Theres alot. Its really cool because you feel like a commander with the nice icons on the map showing the units company. Or a soldier in an epic battle trying to turn the tied of battle one round at a time. Its also fully customizable. You can also run your favorite mods with it. Edit the troops and stuff. Its great if your just wanting experience a big battle or a small conflict.

    Aar

    I was in the 82nd airborne leading an attack on montignac while regrouping my troops at base. I set up a convoy with a gmc truck and jeep 50cal. 8 men strong. While the rest of my groups were taking the south I planned to secure the mainland. While me109s flying and strafing our base and our units, Me and my squad were unharmed. We finaly made it to the town with no resistance from the enemy. We got comfortable for 5 min and set my troops to disembark while leaving my truck driver in. Staying put we captured the town. Then one of the bf109s caught on to our postion and the next moment was BOOM and some machine gun fire. I was startled and heard on the radio, "2 is down". I immediatly ran to the sound and one of the planes got our truck and poor no.2. I looked above and saw some planes circlling above. I saw some of my bar units firing at the planes and my 50cal gunner. Momments went by as the truck slowly burned. I then heard some heavy armour from our south and new I only had 7 men left so I ordered them to garrison a building. While my men stayed put I grabbed my bar and binocs to see what was coming. I headed for the high grass as I could of been picked off. As most know to the south of motignac is a lowered elevation so I quickly headed off to see what was coming. I hid in the high grass at the edge and as soon as I could even bring out binoculars I heard a bang and a shell withing by. It was epic to hear the round fly over my head, then it turned to terror when I heard another flyby. BOOM! I then turned to see my troops postioned in the building were hit. I scrambled back to my troops in the building then another round flew by! I got down as I heard it fly by and it blew the building to pieces. I panicked and I heard on the radio 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, are down. :butbut: I ran to the streets inside town to see if they were really dead. I saw my m8s blown into other buildings and some were just there hands and limbs were all over the place. It was horrible. I then went to pick up my m8s bazooka ,but it was to late as the ss were coming into town. I saw some hummles and troops moving in so I went into the nearest 2 storie building. I stayed put as I heard germans marching and chatting on there way in. I waited a momment heard the voices get closer. Then some came storming into my building so I unloaded about 4 of them with my bar. I stayed inside and new there was no hope unless delta golf or echo came to my rescue. My experience of ofp.
  16. My ofp game is totaly changed. I think it has to do something with slx. I think my DTA files in my ofp directory are messed up. here they are http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/7672/73537144.png I have never had this problem and I think its do to slx or something. To fix this unistalled several times and reinstalled, but it keeps giving me the same dat files! I have even removed windows completely and installed ofp again and same thing.(crying) My question is what is causing this and what are the normal dta files look like! PLZ help this is driving me insane. edit: Also my game will not run with any of these Pbos out. As far as I remmember there were only like 2 animations and sound pbo.

    I can play ofp with no mods with no problems. Except some weird things happen like the X_vte tracers somehow start in my game which is weird because I have no mods copied over my ofp addon directory. I use mods straight from the folder and somehow it sometimes carries addons over. Its kinda crazy. I did a clean install and eraced my ofp folder and the mods and I still have these problems. If my vanilla Ofp DTA folder is like everyone elses then I have no worries. As for fade I can hit a nickle 100meters away with no problem. :)

    I dont remmember all these pbos being in the vanilla dta file. just like 2. I think I serously messed up. Because now I cant play slx anymore because it cannot open the data.pbo ect The pistol modles are gone and grenades! This suxs.

  22. The only thing in slx that isnt mp compatible is the wound pbo amd maybe the gl3pbo. I have not tryed it but maybe if you removed the wound pbos and (or) gl3pbo it would work in MP. As for gun sounds I really like chammys sound mod (echoes ect) Heres the link just drop it into your DTA folder. http://operationflashpoint.filefront.com/file/Chammys_Sound_Conversion;66442 Have you tried Gra3.0?     FFUR'85 (2008 edition)

    Try to put the ffur 2008 in a seperate folder in your ofp directory. Then make sure you run the Install_win2k_XP batch included in the ffur 08 folder. Then make a shortcut to your ofp exe. The put in your ofp shortcut properties "C:\Program Files\Operation Flashpoint\FlashpointPreferences.exe" -mod=(this u put the mod folder name) Then launch. If you still have problems then its probably the Install_win2k_XP batch in the ffur folder. Make sure you run the right one.

    CTi with mod suggestion help

    Hi im recently been playing ofp with -mod=wwii;Islands;@slx;@ecp;@ECP+@SLX on cti missions. I get a problem with the ai not attacking or engaging me on cti missions. I have tried all kinds of cti and run into the same problem. At first the ai attack me then I respawn and the ai do not attck or engage me. I opened up the map when this was occuring and show me as a blue. Blue indicating civilian. I was wondering if anyone has ran into this problem and if there are any fixes. thanks
