Ah OK thanks a lot for the replies.. hehe I spent about 30mins a few weeks ago trying to get a server list to show up for ArmA in Xfire. Have you guys managed to get Xfire's screenshot with auto upload to work??
-
ArmA doesn't show up in Xfire's server browser display area, .. or you just launching ArmA through Xfire? Thx.
-
The severs I was looking for were running 1.12 but they weren't showing up until I turned off that Battleye anti cheat software. Personally I don't think it's a great idea to divide the community with different versions but at least you can still play 1.08 so its no big deal.
-
OK guys many thanks.. I'll download 1.12 and see how it goes.
-
Is that 1.12 Official? I'm running 1.08 and I've checked the ArmA latest download page and it still looks like 1.08 is the latest version. But on the general forum I see a thread for 1.12.. It's a little confusing with all the beta patches running around but I guess I need 1.12.

I haven't played in a little while and all of my favorite servers don't show up anymore. Do I need to get the Queens Gambit expansion pack? .. or is this sim just not as popular as it use to be? I hope the reason I can't see as many online players, as I used to, is becasue I don't have QG yet but before I order it I thought I'd ask here first. Thx

Controls were awkward at first but once I figured out how to toggle crouch and prone and a few other other keys then I found it to be far better than any other FPS I've played. I use ESDF which allows me to map more primary keys to the easy to reach real estate on my keyboard. One thing I would like though is the ability to map weapons and rate of fire to their own keys instead of having to cycle through grenade, 203 etc just to go from semi to full auto .

Thanks Guys it worked perfect .

Is there anyway to disable the ArmA intro? I ran a bunch of forum searches but nothing came up regarding this issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

He's not talking about a hacked .exe, even so that shouldn't be a problem now. Anyway I believe what you're seeing Terminus is the fact that you are a soldier that is carrying weight and has run for a considerable distance and may be on uneven ground. I have noticed that laying on a flat surface like a road after nothing more than a short walk will produce pretty accurate shooting. Also holding your breath too long will throw your accuracy off a little, I my self have remapped "hold breath" and tend to use just before I fire then release it after I shoot.. The next time you go target shooting try get out of breath and shoot on uneven ground as quickly as you would in game from standing, crouched and prone positions. I dont know what the outcome would be but it would be an interesting experiment.

It started last night for me but early this morning when I checked all was good and it worked perfectly. However I just tried it and once again it hangs on the receiving screen and when the "Network Games On Internet" window finally reveals itself absolutely no servers are shown .. I hope there's a solution to this.

Oops just read the topic in "Troubleshooting" too!

LMAO I never noticed that before but all four of them have mustaches .. .. Maybe its a Reno Nevada Police thing

In Raven Shield they did a much better job with MP5/PSD which was my gun of choice in that game and they allowed you to mount a sight on it; which brings me to another question. Why no Aimpoint for the Mp5? I wouldn't mind a flashlight or laser designator either even though they wouldn't work they'd still look pretty cool Anyway here's a couple of pics and a small vid to show what I'm/we're talking about regarding the width especially the thickness of the heavier suppressed barrel. video; http://www.hkpro.com/video/MP5SD.mov I hope in time the community will sort all this out...like I've always said in flightsim forums "the basic sim gets you interested but the mods from the community keep you flying"
