I agree. There is also a massive amount of network lag when restarting a reloaded save game everytime, but when we start fresh and not reload a save from were we got killed, everything overall seems fine. This mode is fun though.

One of the selling points for me about this game is the Dynamic Campaign system I've heard about. I've played OFP and ARMA pretty hardcore. So I wanted to know how in depth it really is. I know alittle about a front line that evolves while playing. So I have a couple of questions regarding this. 1.) Is speech dialogue diverse or do you not get too many options in ways to talk to people? I'm talking about more than just a couple of lines to always select from, for every person around. 2.) Are there battles taking place on other parts of the map that your not involved in. Like say I finish a mission and decide to wander to other parts of the map, can I expect to see airstrikes on targets and other battles going on. That's it for the time being. Anything else anyone can add would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for the reply's. I was kinda hoping that you can, just by just intel and word of mouth from the civilians find and carry out missions in your own regard, rather than being force feed missions that you have to accomplish to win the war. What I'm trying to say is being able to find and carry out your own missions to move the front line and win the war at your pace. Though I understand that many players like being able to be forced missions and kinda having there hand held, with the outside being dynamic.

Change is good.:)

Hi, Manufactuer: Acer Model: EM61SM/EM61PM Chipset: Nvidia MCP61 If you need to see any more of the information let me know.

Hi, Motherboard is Nvidia nForce 520le PSU is Antec 500 watt I lost the manual. Everytime I restart the computer everthing is fine. But say 9 out of 10 times this happens in boot up. The screen that comes up says something about cmos. Â I'll try to get a screen shot the next time if I can. Â Thanks.

Sorry to bother you guys again. I have a problem. Whenever I go over 2 gigs of ram in my rig, during startup I get 3 long and prelonged beeps. It says it's gonna start in safe mode, but it actually doesn't. Whether it's 3 or 4 gigs it happens. I have Windows XP home edition. All sticks are 1 gig a piece. All Crucial pc 5300 ram. Exactly the same. I go to the sytem properties menu and it registers all 4 gigs. Everything seems to work fine too. Same thing happens if I put three in. I've tried the following: 1. Made sure all sticks are in the slots completly. 2. Rotated all the sticks in diffrenet positions. Tried every which way possible. Even for the three gigs. 3. Mother board drivers are up to date. (Nvidia nforce 520le) 4. BIOS is up to date.

Yes,939. Made a typo there. Thanks again for the advice.

Czingerx: I assume that is the spec of your old you are posting. Of course, it depends on how much money you want to spend on the upgrade. As I don't know what your budget is, I'll list both cheap and expensive options: CPU - Budget: Phenom II x4 940 Non-Budget: Core i7 920 Motherboard - Budget: keep your RAM (or get a new set of OCZ Platinum 4GB, and upgrade to 64 bit Windows) and if you have an AM2+ plus board, keep it too. If you have an older AM2 board, you'll need to replace it with decent ASUS or Gigabyte board with an AMD 780 chipset. Non-budget: Gigabyte Socket LGA1366 board, 6GB of Corsair RAM. Graphics: nVidia 9800GTX+ (or ATI HD4870 512MB if you can afford it. or GTX 260 or GTX 285. PSU: Corsair 550W Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB Sound Card: Keep the Audigy or ASUS Xonar DX Chammy: What brand is the PSU? 680W would be sufficient for just about anything, but if its not a good make of PSU, then it could cause you problems. Graphics cards wise: 9800GT < 9800GTX+ < HD4870 < GTX285. If you can afford the GTX285, go for it by all means. Just make sure your CPU is good enough to keep up with it (A quad core or a 3GHz+ Dual Core) Thank you for the great response. I ended up getting and installing a Antec 500 watt psu, 2 gigs more of ram. Also a ATI VisionTek HD 4970 pci-express that has 1gig DDR3 ram. One other question. Â The processer I have is a AMD X2 3800+ 989 socket. I have a nForce 520LE motherboard. Â Since they don't make 989 sockets anymore, what would be the best processer to upgrade too?

I'm looking to upgrade my computer. Â I'll spend a couple hundred bucks on it. Â But I don't know what to do. Thought this was the best place to ask. Specs: AMD Athlon X2 3800 2gigs of Cricial DDR2 RAM Sapphire ATI 1950GT 512MB PCI Express Creative AudigySE sound card 300 Watt Psu

I got back into Arma after 3 months. Â The past 2 days I played on 9 servers, Â in which everyone crashed. Â Anyone else noticing this? Â Don't ever remember it happening this much. Makes me want to take a few more month's off.

I'm not using the ACE mod or playing on a server that runs it. I know when the server crash's, cause when I boot up ARMA again the server I was just on isn't on the list or is at 0 players. I've seen the beta patch. Hopefully it will fix some of this. It's the only game I play online.

Hi, Right now I have 2 gigs of RAM in my rig. When I put an extra stick in to fill up the 3rd slot my computer say's I have 3 gigs and performance is good. So, when I start up my computer 9/10 times I'll get a prolonged beeeps, twice in a row and it say's my computer is in safe mode. But any time that I only restart it, it does not happen ever. Any idea what causes this? I'm kinda nervous. All motherboard drivers are up to date along with the BIOS. All are 1 gig a piece sticks of RAM. Same brand. Crucial. Same speed. I'll switch them all up when I have 2 gigs in. So I know its not bad Ram. AMD X2 3800 Nvidia 520 motherboard ATI PCI Express X1950 Crucial pc4200 RAM XP 32bit SP3 Thanks.

Hifi Sound FX V1.00 Released
CzingerX replied to Mark XIII (DayZ)'s topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Great high quality mod. I wish I could here the combat ambience alittle more. I'm using the warefareAce config. Hope you don't stop working on that part. -
Will another version come out since the 1.14 patch is out now? Great work as always. Thanks.

Have you tried using the mouse wheel button for extra options?

Glad Arma is on steam. Mainly because most people I know that play PC games have no idea what patches are. They are needed espically for multiplay, and Steam takes care of this patching phase automatically. Besides I too do not like looking for patches, and rather fire up a game and have it fully updated and ready to go.

I thought is was a good interview. I can't wait for the release of ARMA 2. People who have problems with this game should code there own, and see how many bugs they can squash. Fact is pretty much all PC games nowadays have a ton of bugs regardless of all the patch's released for them. Things are more complicated now, no matter how good you are.

Here is one. In Arma 2, is the Dynamic Campaign still going to be implamented?
-
Alright, right now I have 2gigs of PC 5200 DDR2 memory in my rig. I have an extra stick to put me at 3 gigs total. When I have 3 gigs my index score drops to 4.0. in Vista. With 2 it's 5.9. Anyways, all I want to use it for is ARMA. Which is better? I'll go to four gigs sooner or later, even though Vista reconizes 3.5.
