i set up AI and then try attach this command to a trigger but i get an error message invalid number in expression flaregunner fire [“grenadesmuzzleâ€, “FlareWhite_GP25â€] what am i doing wrong here>?

it's a nice sorta quick based game mode found in some other FPS. is it possible to have in ArmA? using a script of course. i looked at ofpec and the ofp mission editing forum but didn't find much. if its possible please explain how.

personally i really love the infantry weapons. i think they are spot on in 1.05. one tip is adjusting the AI accuracy which is different than it's skill. so lower AI accuracy and up the skill for nice fun fights. the settings are self explanatory in your config file under your arma folder in the my documents folder on your computer.

AFAIK for the gpmg yes you have prone recoil value for mg62, but not for the assault rifle with bipod. in ofp it was always a problem getting bipod simulated but ArmA gives that potenitial.

That is the business. KSVK anti-materiel portable cannon! i agree. then in MP there can be more variety using BIS 'offical ' guns. which means more servers and players.

very good. one thing on the weapon with a bipod - you can define an alternative prone recoil value to stimulate a prone deployed more stable base of fire.

More infantry weapons (FN-FAL, G3, MG3, RPK, FN-FNC, AK47, and some OPFOR weapons with sights like the Ak74 with PSO optic etc) so Multiplayer games can be more varied and people can have more choice in weapons online knowing it's official and weapons are working as supposed to be they won't be booted from the game for having modified content.

sounds great. hope they include a RPK for opfor as M249 is BLUFOR's super weapon at the moment (almost every player in the demo uses it). actually if they are tweaking things I'd like them to add relevant Dexterity values to all the weapons so heavier guns like the m249 & m240 are a bit slower to move onto target than the m4 etc.

Ironsight is 100% accurate, it's the most accurate mode you can have. All in all, you just have hard time fighting to control the weapon, it seems. Looks like you'd hate FDF mod or WGL :P (or a game like Red Orchestra) All this only reduces your effective range, period. And ArmA is allready easy enough as a camp-game to not add more to it by giving laser accurate weapon at long range, tyvm. i agree. weapon sway and things like make it harder which is good. i like a challenge.

great work. edit = just tried them out in game. really nice feel to them. i tried to unpbo them using eliteness but got an error message. the reason i tried was to see if rpk had different recoil setting lying than crouched (which is now possible in amra and adds a lot more to the machine guns)...

i enjoy nearly everything about Arma except the jets. they don't feel right. but then i didn't get Arma for the jets - and the helis are great so there's a viable air component. that said, it would be great to have the jets better.

its a good review of a really good game. and to anyone not wanting to wait I'd recommend buying the german online version from morphicon. i DL'd it in hours (cable internet connection - make sure you have a fast internet connection as its over 3GB) and activated it in minutes. using sickboys patch the game has all text in English and so is very easy to follow. -
very damn nice and good flying. more would be appreciated as Arma's flight for heli's has got me hooked. some theory of helis would b good as well on things that help get a good grip on the basics.

i have the exact same system hardware as you and Arma runs very smooth and good for me on 1024x768 with AA off and everything else at normal/high and it looks damn good. my laptop also runs arma fine but has a geforece go 7900gtx in it. maybe optimise your PC? good luck...

i bought a saitek 52 joystick for Arma. brilliant. makes flying the helicopter MUCH more enjoyable with loads of control. only problem is ArmA doesn't recognise all commands (like the 2nd POV hat which i want to use to select next/previous and choose on action menu) how can i fix this or will BIS add support for saitek. please.

i tried the demo. runs great. gets a bit laggy when fa dozen players with 400+pings join my 512k max upload speed cable home connection in australia. but lol thats to be expected with such mad pings from around the world and hosting by me. still it played damn nice and smooth for me.

i agree. If anything I'd like more configuration options in the setup and a way to really the mash the pedals to get a bit more twist while flying. also i'd like a proper tutorial from BIS on how to fly a chopper. a tutorial for noobs like me who are really enjoying flying the chopper but need a few tips on things.
