    Joystick questions for ARMA2

I shake my head at times when games do not work well with a joystick. Sometimes I think the support and usage of these are worse than the DOS days! You would think otherwise. The same joystick can work flawlessly in some games and then in other you look like some newbie who could not get off the ground and worse comes to worse kill ALL your passengers!! What do you voip or type in then? "i'm sorry" ...as the DEAD ONES write or voip the expletives they think you deserve. In regards to this game it seems that the turn right/left does not work correctly on my Logitech 3d. I deleted that part and use on the roll l/r. Wide turns but better than nothing. The accelerater keys (pgUP/pgDN) have to be used as my joystick pot does not get recognized. I'm no programmer but since the mouse is pretty universal in its operation is the three axis joystick so different?

Any other (ex) Battlefield 2 players?

THAT was one HELLEVA POST SIR!!! Well thought out and executed as well. I can ony say that hopefully the worthy BF2 players who like teamplay and mutual cooperation are the ones which would gravitate toward AA. Because of that I think a fair share will do just that. I guess the only other thing to do is to advertise AA and spread the word. I dont know how much advertisements will be funded to sell AA but word of mouth is always a good way to at least get people interested in AA. In the coming weeks we will see how good this momentum will continue insofar as sales and popularity is concerned.

Its too bad about SOLDNER - I had HIGH Â HOPES for that game but it soon became apparent it was not ready for prime time after intial release. I did not know it had gone thru so many patches as I had not kept up. I am hoping for the best for AA ofcourse. Â I want to thank all the respondents to this thread with your positive answers - such a difference FROM the PlanetBattlefield crowd who seem to be a LOT MORE IMMATURE...lol! You can tell by their answers for the most part! I guess thats to be expected..I guess. Â As for some questions users have stated here. Q - Why welcome Vanilla BF2 players? A - Yeah...if they cant prone and bunny hop what would be the point. Great Point! Q - Arcadish players probably won't like AA A - Probably so true...AA (like OFP) is more a "thinking" and strategy type game than reactionary. But still... I think the "I will blow things up" idea is still there. Once again...keep the thread going with your ideas and thoughts - thanks once more.

As the release of AA gets down to the wire it will be interesting to see HOW many of the BF2 players who want a more realistic gameplay mode will purchase and support AA. Now I have just posted this very idea on PlanetBattlefield so I can see some interesting reposndents..some will flame like crazy as they are BF2 fanboyz fer sure. Now please dont get me wrong BF2 and AA are worlds apart in some ways and VERY similar in other aspects. I guess its a matter of taste in what exactly your interested in. As a person who played OPF demo when it came out I could not beleive how much fun that game was. Thos were the days in which you used NOTEPAD to edit your game as there was NO proggy to do that..yet....you know what I mean...well..the release date is coming up. Best wishes to AA and its release and success!
