    Why won't 'createdUnits' move ?

    What if you wanted to create a group that randomly spawned around your player, but rather then being the same side, they would be like civilians. How would you do that?
  2. OKay, so this is the plan. You are approaching a town, there are manned searchlights scanning everywhere and machine gunners are right next to them. You know those little "city powerplant" areas that are all enclosed in a fence usually? Basically your mission is to destroy those powerplant buildings so that the entire city loses power. Unfortunately there are also streetlights everywhere. How can I turn those lights off at the same time as well? How would one go about doing this?

    I set it up as a trigger and it's a no go. Activation OPFOR Condition this On Act. object490123 switchLight "off" Type None Can't have () for some reason. And I switched the type to "None" and "Switch" which no change. __ Also we got the ability to kill a person and it'll trigger the end senario. However we can't get it to work on an object without naming it. And since the object ids are static.... If there was a way to set damage tot he light, maybe once the generators are destroyed, the lights can go out. Unfortunately I can't shoot the lgihts out so that maybe why the lights won't switch off. I thought we could shoot the lights out in the original OFP?

    There's a lot of pre-armed assualt collision bugs. Â Basically there's left over LODs from some of the original flashpoint buildings. Â These will most likely be fixed with future patches. And I still haven't gotten the bots to use the Mi17 Hip-H (I call it the Mi-17 "hippo" Â ). Anyone else been sucessful? Â Do they just use their rockets against infantry only? Â Not against Humvees or Tanks or Buldings?

    I'd have to say in comparision with the original Flashpoint, the fact that you can plug in a USB joystick and fly extremely easily, it's gets an A+ from me. Besides, the community will vertainly add more helicopters and jets to make more unique flight characteristics, like for an AH-64 Apache or Mi-24 Hind. I just can't wait until we can get some real air battles in the sky. Currently I'd love to see some MiG-29 Fulcrums flying the "crimson raptor skies."

    Those are pretty cool.  The soldier models have a ways to go (the soldiers are all girls?  Or have they been neutered, lol). I've never played Command and Conquer, but the models are certainly of very high quality.  The building looks like it's going to be the worst to tezxture though.  Maybe bringing it up into simpler pieces would be better for LOD issues, as well as texturing. The Vulcan-type cannon looks pretty good, but there doesn't appear to be much shadowing on the model for some reason?  Or is it just me. The Tiberium crystals look pretty cool, kinda like green energon from the Beast Wars Transformers  Although I would see if you could try to make the crystal part of the model translucent, so you can see thru to the otherside.  That'd be really neat.  And then skin it like the water is skinned, so you'd still be able to see thru it, but with a brighter green. Also look at teh Humvee windows as well for another example of translucent models. -Christopher

    Wha-wha-what? There are Robotech addons for Flashpoint?!?!?! Link me please! And as for rearming the tanks, nope. They weren't meant to be rearmed. They work but need some work too. I would prefer the number one priority should be getting both turrets to fire at the same spot for more accurate laser blasts, as well as a lower degree of firing, should be 90 degrees down from it's forward facing positions. Also the damage system...one LAW or Carl Gustav should not be able to destroy the HK Tanks. However, one of each, as well as a stinger should be able to destroy the Aerial HK for sure. I wish I knew how to do this but I don't know a lot about scripting/coding for Operation Flashpoint vehicles. I go the handweapons down pat though. Also, does anyone know of any "technical" pickup (Dodge, Toyota, Ford or Chevy?) addons? Maybe we could put together through apiecemeal process some technicals for the Tech-Com Resistance fighters. For example: Pickup with Machine Gun (.50cal) like the Jeeps. Pickup with Mk.19 40mm Grenade Launcher Pickup with 105mm Recoiless Rifle (anyone seen an addon liek this?) Maybe some Humvee Tows or Humvee M60E2s? Gotta make them really fast and tough like the Soviet BRDM only just a skosh faster. -Christopher
  12. Where is the OICW Gun for Flashpoint? Looks like it used to be in a pack called "OFP NES::Heckler&Koch Bonus Weapons Pack." However I don't know what "NES" means other than Nintendo Entertainment System, lol. And it seems to be from Japan. The links I've found advertising the OICW for OFP are unactive, most likely dead.   13. Wow, interesting how many hundreds of post there are, so here's one more since none of them seem to have the proper solution for my game. I have Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis (It Is Only One Disc) copyrighted as 2001. After I installed it, it is version 1.20. So I got the 1.30 patch (called ofppatch upgrade3-v1 30 ) from here http://browse.files.filefront.com/Operati....es.html And the 1.46 patch (called ofp upgrade 4 v146 ) as well. Now I can't find any patch to get to the lastest patch 1.96 called "Operation Flashpoint: GotY 1.96 Full Patch" from filefront as well (fileplanet takes forever to wait if you're not a paying member at this time). When I tried install that one, it says I need version 1.85. However I can't seem to find a 1.85 patch or an upgrade 5 to get me there. And the Resistence (which I don't have) 1.85 and teh Gold Edition (which I don't have) 1.90 patch says I don't have the game installed? Well crap, so now what, lol? -Christopher

    Yeah I played for 3 hours today running around Everon all by myself with ammo crates here and there and dead Tech Com Forces that the Endos had "waded" through, and had HK Aerials and HK Tanks with the Drivers keeping the lights on all the time and yet the Gunners were shooting all over. Man it was tough, but I love those LAW rockets! The Aerials are SOBs though, shooting behind them while they fly away from ya. Luckily I had Ambulances and Vehicels spread out, man it took a while to do.

    Yeah I think Two Version of the HK Tank would be Needed. One with a Driver and a Gunner and 4 Troop Transport Postions and then a 2nd one, Heavy Pacification Design, with a Driver, Left Gunner with 200 degree arc, right gunner with 200 Degree arc, and then a Rear Gunner a 300 Degree arc and each have 90 degrees of range, respectively the Rear Gunner has only a upward 90 degrees and the others have a downward arc. And for the Aerials maybe two variants as well, the regular version, but the 2nd would have Dual Cannons like on the Tank and no boost for the engine liek the regular one has. Weapon wise, maybe use teh G-36k model and add a ACOG scope with a nightvision like zoom in hud and have it use laser weaponary as well, like a retrofitted Tech Com weapon. Remember they got their laser weaponary for what Skynet created from destroyed Endos. And some Hecklor and Koch factories would still make custom models it's just they would be few and far between as Skynet was always looking for new factories for resources.

  18. I'd like to know you can prevent a soldier from going prone no matter what condition they are in, except perhaps they are so wounded they can't get up. Also, if this can be in as a conditional command line rather than a script, do you use a "," comma to separate command lines in the init field? If they Stand, Run, and Crouch that's all okay, but prone is not acceptable. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time, Christopher

    Thanks guys I appreciate it. I have a few different version of the OICW, however, it seems full auto isn't always an option. And one of them only has a 20 round clip! Blasphemy! However the 20mm Launcher is sweet as well as most of the zooms. Now I'm curious as to hwo I could edit the main files to change the ammo count and mag size and stuff liek that
  21. I'm guessing that .p3d files are the actual model files themselves? Â Is this assumption correct? Opening models in GMAX would be very handy, but also 3DS Max 5 demo version which I have from the 3D Studio Max 5 for Dummies book (for some reason I can't find an all free version of 3D Studio Max, I thought there was an earlier version or 3DS Max 6 at the most).     Where would I find a convertor to do that? Do you happen to know of or have link to a safe download location for it? Preferably one that is not peer 2 peer and is virus infested

This is what I'm trying to accomplish: I would like to have the bots keep their head and flood lights on any vehicle whether it be a M1A1 Abrams Tank or a Helicopter like the Mi-24 HIND-D all the time and even if they see the enemy they still keep them on and attack. Â It was cool to see them roll into a deserted town with their lights on while I stayed hidden but then once they saw me or once I shot at them they would turn them off like they should. Â However, I could not find an "always on" command line or any kind of Script for the headlights staying on. Any Help Is Appreciated, Christopher

    Wow! Thank you so much Mandoble! That's awesome, it's so simple, it's very logical. This'll be great! And it even works great without a commander, because the two vehicles I'm using are two seaters, driver and gunner so that works out great. However I kept the driver a private and the gunner a corporal. Even works for the Helicopter "driver" (apparently i didn't have to replace "this moveInDriver a1" with this moveInPilot a1), now I gotta figure out how to get the Choppers to patrol around in a selected "zone".....
