Saving the background picture in o2

Ok, many thanks for that tip ! It's very useful
  2. Hello, As far as I know, it is not possible to save the current background in o2 to be able to re-import it later. So I have to replace manually the backgroung blueprint each time I load o2 to resume working on my model. Have I missed a feature or is it really impossible ?

    OFrP Release #FINAL

In order to be able to play the mod, you have to downloads the following packs in the download section of the website : [OFP] Pack Air V4.0 [OFP] Pack Véhicules V3.1 [OFP] Sea Pack V1.0 [OFP] Weapon pack V3.2 [OFP] Infantry pack V3.2 [OFP] Objects Pack V3.1 [OFP] Armor Pack V2.0 The GUI pack is not necessary, you can download it of you want to change the default GUI. I do not remember what is included in the "Goodies pack" but it must be wallpapers and stuff like that I think. Then you can download the missions you want among the official and non-official ones (I put a link to download the non-official Operation Icare campaign by bardamu some pages before on tis thread). Thanks for the comment.  Most OFrP members are indeed waiting for the tools to resume working on 3d models, but some conversions of OFP addons have already been made. I think IkaR and xav have posted screenshots and videos of the Tiger, Puma, Mirage 2000 and Transall in the A&M : Discussion forum.

    FLIR

It has already been discussed several times but it's not possible to make a thermal vision in ArmA, mainly because it has not been forssen by BIS. In fact, as you see on the RL picture posted by griff330, IR-rays are not emitted by all parts of vehicles or ground (water and glass don't emit, but wheels do, because they are hotter), so it would require to put a value of IR emission for each texture in the game, and then to get these values to compute a 3d picture in real time because I don't think ArmA's engine is able to do this.

    Falklands Mod 1.0 Released

If you want a better map icon for your Super Etendard, you can use the one I made for mine (OFrP). I uploaded the paa here : http://www.young.cliranet.com/cyp/sem.paa

    OFrP Release #FINAL

I don't think that there will be any update of the Weapon Pack for OFP. The reticle will be corrected on ArmA packs. But if you want to do it yourself, I have posted the things to do at the top of previous page. It needs a little bit of knowledge in editing but if you have questions, don't hesitate to send me a private message. Â

    OFrP Release #FINAL

By the way there is also a very good third party campaign for Operation Frenchpoint : Operation Icare : http://kurotora.free.fr/OFP/vieux%20pbo/icare_ver2.rar (It also requires Tonal island)

    OFrP Release #FINAL

I think some (most ?) of the ones available on the official website have been translated. Maybe not the voices but at least the texts. http://www.ofrp.net/index.php?m=dl&f=missions&clng=en I can advise you "le survivant" (on page 3), it is one of the oldest missions made for OFrP, but it uses very good scripts and shows many OFrP units. Regards, Chris.

    OFrP Release #FINAL

Ok perfect. I don't know if there is a list of the scripts available, I found this one by uncompressing the addon. I'll ask to another team member. You mean for these new addons or for all OFrP addons ?

    OFrP Release #FINAL

I think that you can use : this exec "\OFrP_AirC\Scripts\C160_fermsoute.sqs" I have not tried so I can't be sure, but it should be this one.

    OFrP addons in ARMA

And I believe the FELIN program includes the addition of an IR sight to the FAMAS, I don't know if it is possible to realize it in ArmA.

    Be 32K

Thanks for this one GranQ, gonna test it ASAP. It seems you finally got the right way to have some addons work properly. Glad to see it. Chris.

    website development tutorials

A very good website to learn web programming is Newbies Paradise : http://www.newbiesparadise.com At the moment they only have an XHTML and CSS tutorial, but they are translating from French some very good tutorials about PHP and SQL databases (OpenGL and C programming are also coming, but it's not the same purpose). For those who speak French, the French version of the site is here : http://www.siteduzero.com , with all the tutorials. Chris.

    OFrP Release #FINAL

The scope modeled by OFrP is the TA31A, more similar to the first one (TA31F), except that we have a red triangle instead of a chevron. EDIT : In fact the one modeled by OFrP is a TA11D, similar to the TA31A except that the magnification is 3.5x instead of 4x I've made the modification on my addon, but it needs a little knowledge in editing. If you also want to do so : * unpack OFrP_Armes.pbo * with ODOL explorer, convert optika_acog1.p3d to MLOD * open the p3d file and remove the silhouette and the crosshair (it neither is on the photo) * save and repack the addon

    OFrP Release #FINAL

Yes, you seem to bee right, I have been looking for good photos of the optics for several days, I couldn't find any, but I just found this one : http://images.google.fr/imgres?....rl=http And there is no target outline. I transmit it to the team. Thanks for your remark, GD Mast.

    OFrP Release #FINAL

Yes, but are you sure that it is not in the reticle to help the estimation of the range ?

    OFrP Release #FINAL

Ok, I guess you speak about this sight : EDIT : Images removed But according to the website, it is the reticle for the ACOG sight here (left on the photograph) : And it seems quite different from the ACOG sight that is in the OFrP pack. Our sight looks rather like the one on this page : http://www.nightvisionsales.com/product....228 And you can see on the picture at the bottom that the reticle features a target outline. I'm not a specialist so if you can assure me that the version used by the French Army do not features this target outline, I'll see if it is possible to fix it. However, it probably won't be for OFP. This was our final release, next step will be on ArmA. Regards, Chris. EDIT : Another interesting link : http://www.4scopes.com/acog.htm But all these sights do have the target outline.

Excuse me for my poor English, but what do you call "target outline" ? Maybe a screenshot can help.

    OFrP Release #FINAL

I've corrected these two bugs, thanks for noticing, the new files include the fixed models (link in Wolf's post). You only need to re-download the Air pack.

    OFrP Release #FINAL

Normally it's available on all OFrP's planes. Maybe you mean you would like to add it to one of your planes ?

    OFrP Release #FINAL

Sanctuary, c'est sur quel version que les emports disparaissent ? J'ai vérifié avoir bien copié les bidons sur tous les LODs normalement, par contre pour les roues effectivement, j'ai merdé...

    RC_ResHandguns

Hi GranQ, With the new possibilities of ArmA, it should be reasonable to add one more accurate LOD (I don't know the new capabilities of ArmA's engine, but something like 1500 polys do it), have you planed to ? Regards, Chris.

    RAF Puma

Ok, I did not know. IkaR is from the OFrP Team, he released a version as freelance after leaving the team but he has now come back. I just wanted to tell you that it is not always easy to get an authorisation from OFrP. Since you already got the permission, that should be no problem. Regards, Chris Young.
